Sometimes "Deleted" doesn't really mean deleted Any sync'ing available?

I've noticed that a lot of files that were Deleted (Removed from Library and files Moved to Recycle Bin) were not actually moved out of the iTunes Library directory structure. I've manually deleted nearly 4 GB of files that were no longer cataloged in my Library but still remained on disk. Anyone know why this is so? Is there a way to do this automatically? A utility perhaps?

Sounds like you may have had them twice in the iTunes music folder.
When you deleted them via iTunes, they go into the trash. Did you have to empty the trash? If not, they were not moved to the trash.

It started after the major update to iOS 7.
I can't believe that this is so hard to do. It's just not letting me. I can add a bookmark to the home screen just fine, just not in a bookmarks folder anywhere I try.
I've used Apple products since 2001 and have always loved how intuitive they are. But the Safari browser since iOS 7 has been the worst I've experienced. At least right in the beginning after that update.
I'd really appreciate any help that doesn't just tell me how it's suppose to work...I know that.
My iPad 4 is not affected with the problem and works as it should.

But would you reread my previous message in the mean time...I may not be using the correct terminolgy for what I am trying to find out. AndI am sorry for that. I do not have any thing in the trash. I don't even know if I have a trash folder.
#1.I wanted to know if I could have somehow deleted the trash folder ? in my email site?
#2 If it is possible than would this be why I cannot get the messages in inbox to delete to the trash folder?
#3 When I try to delete anything on this computer I get the message on my screen..++++ telling me that whatever it is that I am trying to delete could not be moved to that mailbox because "Deleted messages -mail.comcast.net does not allow messages to moved to it+++++ Doesn't make sense to me and that is why I wanted to know if it was possible that I may have deleted the trash folder under the INBOX , SENT, DRAFTS, and then where the TRASH folder is suppose to be?

It is like there is no trash folder to delete anything to. It this possible that there is not a trash folder because I could have deleted the Trash folder??

Error while deleting any component from the widget

Whenever i delete any component from widget it stops running..i means whenever after deleting i execte the widget nothing happens.........it gives me an error saying
"Syntax Error in line 1 " and no other information....so can anyone tell me how to resolve this????????

Hello,
This might happen when you delete Header or Footer from widget. It is already corrected in latest version of Tools. Workaround is to add dummy view that is not used anywhere in widget but contains Header and Footer.

I no longer have a computer and cannot put new songs on my iphone anymore. I would like to sync my phone to a friends computer, but he already has his iphone synced to that itunes. If I sync my iphone to his itunes will it delete any of his content?

It will not, but syncing it will sync all of your notes, apps, songs, and email onto his computer. I mean that he will not see your email password, but he is logged in, and can back THAT up on his phone and steal it, but no, it will not.

If i update from 10.6.8 to mavericks on one long in and say i have two longins, will it update both or just the one, and will it delete any saved docs in the process regaurdless

Upgrading the OS is a system wide thing. So all users will receive the upgrade.
It should not delete files and such. However, if you have for example files made with Pages '09. Then the new Pages that comes with Mavericks will make a copy of those files so you can continue to edit them. But those new files can not be opened in Pages '09. BUT again, some people perfer Pages '09 and they use that still. Mavericks will just hide Pages '09, it's still usable in Mavericks just hidden.
To be safe, make a back up of your system before doing any major upgrade.

Okay, sorry I was thinking you wanted to delete the pictures on your old iPhone. Go into your camera roll then tap the albums button to get to the album view then tap the edit button (right top) then tap the red circle to delete that album.

I told you, I can't restore iOS. In order to restore my iPad, I need to update it to iOS 7.0.4, but my iPad needs available space to update, but I don't have any. Recently I upgraded to Snow Leopard, noticed some real improvements, etc. However, it has become apparent over the last week or so, that I am unable to delete any application from any folder on my system. I have tried changing ownership and permission settings to no avail. I have also tried using those application removal tools (AppZapper, AppDelete, et al). I am not an expert in using the Terminal application, so I have not tried changing settings using this.
I had intended to take my computer into my local Apple store, however, I wanted to see if I could find a solution online and fix it myself.
I should also mention that I am not trying to delete pre-installed software, just third-party software that I no longer use.

'Jumping out of the trash', is exactly how I would describe my issue. I can delete any file providing it is not an application. Just tested trashing a range of apps, third-party and pre-installed, all act in the way I describing, all 'jump' out of the trash. Also, apps that were present pre-SL install act in the same way as post-SL ones.
I haven't to my knowledge dragged an icon from the dock to the trash, it doesn't sound like something I would do. I have in the past trashed an app directly from the Applications folder, in the usual drag-n-drop fashion. I have no other drives connected to my computer.
Just checked the permissions on the account, it tells me I am the administrator. I have no parental controls set.
I've checked ownership and permissions and whether the item is locked for my hard drive and my applications folder; and for applications I am attempting to trash, all seem to report that I have the 'power' to delete them.

Is there any way whatsoever to delete photos synced from iTunes?

This is something that constently frustrates me and I've never found a solution for it. I can delete music, videos, apps, etc etc etc from the phone to reclaim storage space, but is there no way in **** to delete photos synced through iTunes? It's bothered me before in the past, so I stopped syncing albums to my phone, but recently I had synced my albums of photos from my wedding to my iPhone so that I could show some family and didn't realize how much space it was going to take up. The entire weekend I could not remove them to download apps, music, videos or anything.
Is there any way at all to remove them? Via iFunbox, or some sort of "reset" option in Settings, or any other means?

What you ask is pretty basic. Uncheck the Sync Photos from option in iTunes and click Apply
Assuming your device is not modified/hacked/jailbroken in any way/shape/form

IPhoto does not delete any photo's

I am setting up everything on my girlfriends new MacBook Air and everything is working so far. But now I have set up iPhoto for her and imported her photo's but she is not able to delete any photo's. I also tried to do it by accessing her library but that did not work either. When I delete the master and/or thumbnail file from her library it still appears in the iPhoto program itself. But then she can't open it anymore and still is not able to delete it. The delete option does appear when you do right click but it does not do anything when you click on it.
I have tried to restore here library but that did not work and I also tried to delete the whole iPhoto library and create a new one. After that the same problem still occurred.
She is running OS X Mountain Lion and her MacBook Air is bought last month (so it is the newest model). She has all the updates installed so that should not be the problem either.
Hope someone can help me here.

What do you mean by her "Library"? Do you mean what you see in the iPhoto Window ? Or do you mean the iPhoto Library in the Finder?

Again, is this is the iPhoto Library Package in the Pictures Folder? If so:
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things, deleting them or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
You've just trashed her Library if you have.
To delete from iPhoto:
1. You need to be in Events of Photos View... Drag an Image to the iPhoto Trash. Empty it. Then Empty the System Trash.

I have to change an info object's length. However, this info object is used in some infocubes and DSOs (that generate SID).
Is there a way on extending chrs. length without deleting any data that is contained in the infoproviders.?
They've really huge data volumes. I dont want to delete all the data and re-upload.

I have a Macbook Pro 15" from medio 2009. Yesterday, I tried to download a file, then a message popped up that said, that the hard drive is full. However, I have 22 GB free space, so it didn't add up. Then I couldn't run any of the macintosh applications (i.e. Hard drive repair, time machine etc.). Moreso, I couldn't delete any files nor empty the trash can. An error -50 appears when I do that. When I reboot my mac it takes way too long to start up. Has anyone experienced some of the same problems? Do I need to replace my hard disk? If so, how can I backup my files if Time Machine doesn't work?

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to fully boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
1. Boot from the Recovery partition or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
