Sometimes fails to load the right codec (or chipset) for audio

Sometimes fails to load the right sound codec (or chipset) for at boot, I think that it's same issue with alsa and OSS.
At boot time (toshiba u300) alsa (or kernel maybe) fails to load sound.
When it works this is loaded:

I've followed this topics without luck.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Al … sound_card
https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail … 05092.html
https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentatio … Models.txt
First I worked around alsa sound state, it doesn't work, then I tried to point my laptop model in «/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf» file:
options snd-hda-intel model=toshiba
options snd-hda-intel index=0
options bt87x index=-2
options cx88_alsa index=-2
options saa7134-alsa index=-2
options snd-atiixp-modem index=-2
options snd-intel8x0m index=-2
options snd-via82xx-modem index=-2
options snd-usb-audio index=-2
options snd-usb-caiaq index=-2
options snd-usb-ua101 index=-2
options snd-usb-us122l index=-2
options snd-usb-usx2y index=-2
options snd-pcsp index=-2
options snd-usb-audio index=-2
And last I've tried to load Realtek modules in «/etc/modules-load.d/alsa.conf» file:
snd
snd_hda_intel
snd_hda_codec
snd_pcm
snd_page_alloc
snd_timer
snd_hwdep
snd_hda_codec_realtek
And here is that commands shows this sesion:

My next step is go into kernel but I think it's better to ask here first.
I have to say that before Arch it had installed Ubuntu 10.04 with OSS (problems with keyboard sound keys with alsa), lately before change to Arch I must to restart sound system before it works frequently with this procedure; «soundoff», then «soundon» absolutly freezes the laptop so I had to turn off it and turn on again, then «rm /usr/lib/oss/starting», and last «soundon», then it sometimes works.
Now my only way to have sound is to restart the system time and time again until it works.
Thanks for your advices.

Maybe two kernel modules that try to control the same piece of hardware, but how can I know what modules are?
Blacklisting [https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ke … acklisting]
Blacklisting, in the context of kernel modules, is a mechanism to prevent the kernel module from loading. This could be useful if, for example, the associated hardware is not needed, or if loading that module causes problems: for instance there may be two kernel modules that try to control the same piece of hardware, and loading them together would result in a conflict.
Some modules are loaded as part of the initramfs. mkinitcpio -M will print out all autodetected modules: to prevent the initramfs from loading some of those modules, blacklist them in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf. Running mkinitcpio -v will list all modules pulled in by the various hooks (e.g. filesystem hook, SCSI hook, etc.). Remember to add that .conf file to the FILES section in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf (if you have not done so already) and rebuild the initramfs once you have blacklisted the modules, and to reboot afterwards.

  • Failed to load the configuration file for the workflow

Hi experts, yesterday I created and publish custom workflow using SPD from client pc using site administrator account but today its shows error message. I tried creating new test workflows, edit and publish to think it will push a fresh SPD settings
in working condition and it works pretty right.
But the thing I noticed after closing SPD Im not able to re-open workflows and it gives the same error message Failed to load the configuration file for the workflow. This issue only happen today since day one  I used SPD and all the time
    Im using the same pc.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.
    Cheers, R2C3 ----------------------------------- starting sharepoint :)

    HI
Maybe you have permission problem or there is invalid xoml murkup.
To verify this from SharePoint Designer use the following steps.
In Office SharePoint Designer, in the folder list, select the plus sign next to Workflows library to expand it
1.Next select the plus sign of the workflow in question to expand it
2.Double-click the configuration file (Workflow_name.xoml.wfconfig.xml) to open it
3.Right-click on the page, and then select Verify well-formed XML
4.Correct any errors and save the file
    5.Reopen the workflow to test
Also double check that you are using SPD with the same credentials you created workflow
    Hope this will help.
    Regards,
    Marcin

  • Error, "Failed to load the folio"

So I joined the Creative cloud. Comming from CS5 I must say I really like CS6.
Today I say this youtube video from Terry White in which he explains how to create an app in Indesign. I had installed the latest DPS and Adobe Air from the Adobe download site and it installed fine.
I wanted to try this so I followed him with creating an Folio overlay and tried to preview this with the adobe content viewer on the desktop (macPro OS 10.8.2) and came with the following error ; Error, "Failed to load the folio".
No matter what I try, the error keeps on comming. I tried uninstall the old CS5. Uninstalling Indesign CS6, adobe air. Then rebooted the mac and installed it all over again (except CS5).
    The troubleshooting page says this;
Error, "Failed to load the folio"
If you receive this error, it could be due to use of platform invalid characters in the magazine title. For example, the following characters used in the magazine title could cause this error, \ / : * ? " < > |
Rename your magazine title so that none of these characters are used. It's sometimes necessary to test by eliminating any characters that aren't alphanumeric. If changing the magazine name fixes the problem, update the folio in the Folio Builder panel to update the content on the server. Adobe hopes to have these issues fixed in later releases of the product.
If special characters are not the cause of this error, then some other content or attribute could be the cause. Use comparison testing and binary isolation to test sections of your content individually to see if you can isolate the offending element.
But my title is just test.indd.
Even when there is just one image on the page I get the same error when trying to preview.
I also tried to create a folio with the folio builder. The folio gets created but as soon as i try to import an article it says he is done, but the symbol in front of the article is still spinning as if it is not uploading it to the cloud.
But this also happens when I try to do it offline.
I have ran out of solutions to try. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

I get the same problem. The only thing that worked for me was to go to another computer and try it there... And then it works. Not great when you want to teach a class full of students how to do something and only half the class works.

  • Failed to load the folio on Desktop Viewer

    Hi all
We've created a ebook(folio) which contains 19 articles. After exported it from the DPS, I tried to open it on PC, ipad and Galaxy.
I tried on 3 PCs. It works perfectly on 2 (one running Win7 and the other running WinXP, both have InDesign CS6 installed). But it failed on another PC running WinXP, which doesn't have InDesign installed. Among the 19 folios exported from DPS, only 3 can be opened. When openning the others, it shows "Error Failed to load the folio".
I did some search before, some said PDF folio is not supported on Desktop Viewer. Though I don't know which format it is, but if it's true in my case, it shouldn't have worked on the other 2 PCs, right?
I wonder if having InDesign installed make a difference? Or it's something else?
Some of my clients use PC to read the ebook - it gotta be solved asap.
    Any help will be appreciated!!
    Thanks very much!!!

Adobe Content Viewer on the desktop is only intended for previewing folios while doing design work. It's not meant to be a distribution mechanism to clients. If you don't have InDesign installed chances are it won't work.

  • Am I using the right codecs in CS4?

I have been working with PP CS4 for a few weeks and thought it might be good to check with the experts about which codecs I am using.  I also just got a new video camera that is an AVCHD type.  Here is what I normally use:
Copy video from camera to PC in *.MTS format.  I use a USB adapter to copy from the SDHC card.
I start PP CS4 and when I open a new sequence I choose AVCHD 720p30.
Once into PP CS4, I use media browser and open the MTS file into the source monitor.
Next I need to save my work for later use in Encore and I save into Flash for upload to website.
To save for Encore, I export to AVI – video codec DV NTSC
To save for Flash upload, I use Flash F4V – Medium.  After saving, I rename the file to a FLV file.
I rename to FLV because my website flash player only recognizes FLV extension.
Once in Encore, I add a menu plus a post roll (scrolling credits), then burn to DVD.
Am I using the right codecs?  The one that is most unclear to me is the new sequence one – AVCHD 720p30.  My system is an i7 running at 4GHz and with 6 GB of memory.  PP CS4 is loaded on one HD and the video from the camera is copied to a second HD.

I don't know if I am filming in 720p.  The camera is a Panasonic AG-HMC70 and it has three settings for video quality:
HF = 13 Mbps - Constant Bit Rate
HN =  9 Mbps - Variable Bit Rate
HE =  6 Mbps - Variable Bit Rate
I have been using the HN or middle quality setting.  Anybody know if this is 720p or something else?

Do you have any idea of what should be done to fix it? I don't want to use NVIDIA driver from their site neither nouveau, I want to use the one from the repo. If you know how to solve it, instead of only pointing the solution, also tell why this is happening, it will help me and other people with the same problem too!
If you need additional information please ask me.
    Thanks!!

karol, I'll try to add the section you wrote to the xorg.conf, but first I want to show the log of the crash:

About the lib32-nvidia-utils, I just installed because it's written in the wiki http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA#Installing: "Note: On 64 bit systems, For 32-bit programs to take advantage of nvidia-utils you must also install the equivalent lib32 package (for example lib32-nvidia-utils)."

  • DBD: Error while trying to load the transport provider for odbc. Failed to load the library. System error: The specified module could not be found.

    Hello Everyone,
We are getting an error while trying to create an Universe via Microsoft -> MS Analysis Services 2014 -> OLEDB for OLAP Provider under Connection in UDT -"DBD: Error while trying to load the transport provider for odbc. Failed to load the library. System error: The specified module could not be found."  We have installed BI 4.1 SP05 in our system. As per earlier posts in scn in BO XI 3.x this issue used to be for improper installation of Integration KIT but in our scenarion Integration KIT is within the BO 4.1 package so no seperate installation is required. Moreover I have checked whether all the driver is present under file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\drivers" and seems everything is fine. But still I am getting this error. One important point is we could use IDT because in IDT still we don't have option to connect with 'Microsoft Analysis Services - 2014 (XMLA)' as we are using Microsoft Analysis Services 2014 version.
Kindly help if anyone has faced the same problem with SAP BO 4.1.
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Ghosal

    Hello Everybody,
The problem is solved now after installing "OLEDB drivers from SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack". We had OLEDB drivers that comes directly from SQL Server but that did not worked out in our case.
    Thanks for your support.
    Best Regards,

  • TS1702 I am having trouble opening the Times and Sunday Times Newspaper App in my iPad Newstand. Each time I seek to load I get the message "Failed to load the Kiosk".

I have been told by the T8imes helpline that this is an Apple problem with its Newsstand. I have tried deleting the App and reloading it. Still the same message  "Failed to load the Kiosk" appears. I have tried a hard reset of the iPad, again without success. Can you suggest anything else?

You bought an app but it did not work properly on your device. You can easily report problems with your iTunes Store purchases via the iTunes Store. Here is how:
Launch iTunes > Choose Store > Sign in.
Store > View My Account > Purchase History then Click the Report a Problem button.
Fill out the form explaining the problem you are having.
Submit the problem report and wait for a response from Apple, they usually respond within 24 hours.
    Notes:
When Apple emails your invoice, there will be a link on the invoice. You may also click the “Report Problem” link next to the app that you are having issues with to report your problems.
Problems with in-app purchases or free apps, report them here:http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/
Before reporting your issue, make sure that you followed these troubleshooting steps explained here.

Your module NC_REF.fmb (or NC_REF.olb), which is referenced for shared objects, cannot be found. The best way to test it is to place it in the working directory (the start-in directory of the windows shortcut from where you launch Forms Builder). That way you are independent from the FORMS60_PATH, because the working directory is searched first.

  • Im failing to load the bootmgr before windows 7 installation.

Like the title says, I'm failing to load the bootmgr before the windows 7 installation. I get through the process of boot camping and then when it restarts it goes to a black screen and says something like bla bla bla failed to load boot mgr. I've been trying to get this to work for weeeeeeeks its ridiculous, this whole entire process is ridiculously stupid and shouldnt be this hard. Also people keep talking about reformatting something into NTFS or something and I dont know what any of that means -.- sooo yeah im sorry im stupid, but I would appreciate the help. Thank you in advance <3

Do you have a retail Windows DVD inserted into the optical drive?
If you don't know anything about Windows, what NTFS is or how to format a bootable Windows drive, then you should take the computer to an Apple retailer and arrange for a genius to help you out. Virtually, the entire process is outlined in the documentation you printed out, so I question how well you've read it.

FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects
I get the following error when I open a form that references an object library. The repercussions of this is that the window settings are affected in the main form and several other calling forms.
FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects
What do I need to do to resolve this? I need to fix this in NT and then upload the forms to Solaris to be compiled and then deployed over the web.
I need solutions for NT and what I need to do on Solaris.
    Thanks

    Hi
at least for NT, you must place IN ALL the FORMS60_PATH (regedit of yourNT) of your regedit, the directories where you have the libraries, menus, etc, and of course your forms.
I suggest you: place your own directories in the first place of the forms60_path's item. then, repeat the attaching and compiling.
    I hope it helps U

  • Failed to load the following objects....

I sublassed some objects from an object library. They worked well for while. However, after I installed some other oracle software, I opened the form again I got error message:
FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects.
Even I edited the subclass information property to re-enter the information again, I still got the message.
    Any way to correct this.
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
    Now, the message is gone.

  • Udev not loading the right driver for usbtmc device

I have a usb beam profiler  and I'm trying to get it to work on arch linux. It works using NI-VISA, so I should be able to communicate with it using usbtmc. However, when I plug it in, it does not show up in /dev.
I think the problem is that udev is not loading the tmc interface driver when I plug it in.
Here's a snippet of the output from lsusb -v:
    Interface Descriptor:
    bLength 9
    bDescriptorType 4
    bInterfaceNumber 0
    bAlternateSetting 0
    bNumEndpoints 4
    bInterfaceClass 255 Vendor Specific Class
    bInterfaceSubClass 0
    bInterfaceProtocol 0
    iInterface 0
I believe that bInterface* should look something like:
    bInterfaceClass 254 Application Specific Interface
    bInterfaceSubClass 3 Test and Measurement
    bInterfaceProtocol 1 TMC
    iInterface 5 TMC488
Is there a way to force udev to load the right interface? Or is the problem that I'm missing something from my kernel?

Could you post the entire output of lsusb -v for the device?

What device node name are you expecting?
    Not sure, but probably /dev/usbtmc0
Is there a chance that it is being instantiated as a HID device?  Does /dev/usbhid0 appear?
    Nope, don't have a /dev/usbhid0
