phone doesnt ring or say i have missed a call but sometimes 2 hrs after it states i have a voicemail waiting, i have asked friends about this and they state when calling me it goes direct to voicemail is ths the phone or netwoirk provider it is becoming more and more frequent and fustrating as my phone is being used when im on call and thus missing important calls, can anyone help or having same problem, my network is EE and was orange thanks

If there's an Apple store nearby make an appointment with the genius bar to have it checked. Be sure to sync it and back it up, as well as import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts separately (such as by sync them with iCloud) in case it needs to be replaced.

If it was unlocked legitimately it will never relock. As you said you have sent this to your carrier to unlock this will always be unlocked however many times you restore the phone.

I have a 16GB iPhone 3G and my screen will not work. When I have my sim card inserted into the phone calls go through, but I take it out and they don't go through. It was fine one minute and then the screen flashed and now it will not work. any answers?

I own a 16GB iPhone 3G. My father passed it down to me a year ago after he got the iPhone 4. I pressed the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPhone to check the time, and as I did so, the screen flashed on and off and now the screen won't work. Whenever I put my simcard in there calls will go through but I am unable to hear them, but if I take it out calls don't go through. I've tried charging it for a while, connecting to my laptop, holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10seconds to restore it, but nothing works. First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

Neither of the following fits exactly with the description of your problem but may be worth a check. Do you have a unique ringtone for him? (Go to Contacts, select that contact then Edit. Might try changing it and see if that helps.
Other thought is that he may be blocked: Settings > Phone >Blocked or Settings > Messages > Blocked.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I realize that my wife could make her own iTunes account; however, she's been using mine for about 2 years now and this hasn't been an issue. I guess with the Family Sharing she can have access to all of our music and apps now with her own account.

If your iPhone does not ring when you receive calls or messages, start with these steps:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.

I've just realized fir some reason My iPhone wont vibrate when i get a call,text,e-mail or anything else. I checked to make sure in setting that vibrate was on and it is but still nothing. I like to keep my phone on silent for school but if it wont vibrate that doesnt help very much. Please help!

Before going to the store, can you check that you did not activate the Do Not Disturb mode mistakenly? You can do so by doing a slide up from the bottom or in the settings.

Do you even see the call come in on the phone? Do you see the missed call in your list? Or do you just get a voice mail.
If it never even shows up in your missed calls list, contact your carrier. Perhaps you have anonymous call blocking on your account. (I wish I did...)

If it's Not the Silent Switch... Try a Reset of the Phone...
Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...
Turn the Phone On...

Ive tried reset and mute button. It just wont ring when off. Incoming text and email sounds wont work when off either.

When you say off do you mean your phone is powered off?
If so, that behavior is expected, when your phone is powered off, you won't get anything because it is powered off.

The solutions on here did not work for me.   I tried.....
I have the same problem with a BRAND NEW iPhone 5c version 7.1- no sound when a text message arrives.
(1) I have "do not disturb" scheduled correctly.   No partial moon on the main screen near the time and battery indicator.
(2) I have the ringer icon correct with no slash.    Yes I turned the hardward mute switch to the UP position (ie the one above the + and - buttons on the left side.   I tried messaging with the bell as shown and bell with a slash and neither work.   The mute switch is not red (switch above the + volume hardware switch)     I enabled some assistant using the Settings menu.    And I press the dot (looks like a target symbol) and go to Devices and I can see what position the bell is in....either a bell with a slash or no slash.
(3) Yes ringtones are configured for text and other. I can hear them when I am under settings > sounds.   But they do not link with the actual hardware.
(4) I rebooted the iPhone 5c by using the button at top, slide the red bar, then pressed it again, apple came up for a minute and it seemed to be back up.
(5) I upgraded the IPhone 5c from 7.0.4 to 7.1 using my pc and itunes.   And the upgrade was successful but did not fix the text issue.
(6) I do not have it in airplane mode or silent mode.
(7) I reset all settings using Setttings > General > reset > reset all settings . this wipes settings but not data and media.
This is really frustrating.
