Sometimes when i iopen a document i cannot see what i saved in there the last time!

Sometimes when i open a document i can't see any of the contents. I have to keep rebooting. till i can see it again. Anyone know how to get rid of this?
Basically you save a written document and then when you switch on another day and open the docuemtn you can't see the contents. You have to reboot a number of times until the document is there???

I bought the mac less than 12 months ago and they loaded ipages on for me.
I always save it, and save it in c drive and then the folder i want to use. When i open the doc i pick open recent document and the title othat i saved.

Has anyone tried emailing after the Yosemite upgrade? The size of the email pane is enormous and cannot be resized so I cannot see what I am typing as it disappears off screen to the right. This must surely be a fault?

The email window pane is huge and disappears off screen and I have not found any way to resize it. This means I cannot see what I am typing as the text disappears to the right off the screen. Only way to see what you are typing is to drag the pane to the left and then back again when the cursor moves to a new line. This surely must be a fault with the new Yosemite OS X?

Thanks, Bee! I never knew that one--it does resize the screen. But, what I want to do is resize it from the corner, or from the side, or from the top. I'd like to move it to another place on the page, if I need to. The bigger problem is that I can no longer click and drag to highlight a word or phrase, etc. Both of these things happened in Office and in Safari after I downloaded Yosemite. I feel sure that it is just some little trick like the one you suggested or some box that I need to tick to get things working like I've always known them to be. Thanks for any help you can give...

Google search is grayed out and I cannot see what I am typing

FF 6.0.2, Google search bar is grayed out and I cannot see what I am typing. The Search bar works but It is annoying.

Site url field has a grey text as "www.yoursite.com" , the OK button will only be active once site url is entered.
Try to type in the site url and then check.

Firefox highlights search boxes in light blue and I cannot see what I'm typing. How do I fix this?

Recently firefox started highlighting the background color in search boxes/fields (ie. google) in a light blue color and I cannot see what I'm typing in the field. Please help.

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.

I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

Hi,
Try saving your settings as a Preset by clicking the Preset drop down and then select Save Current Settings as a Preset.
Next try changing the settings by selecting the saved preset.
That allow saving the settings for a specific printer, I assume it may also allow selecting these settings for another printer.

The problem was that you migrated CS6. Unfortunately, migration doesn't work because it doesn't move all the files.
First, you'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove the components that were installed:

Tap the little claendar icon at the top left (next to the search icon) and see what calendars are set up in WeekCal. If none are enabled, then enable the one(s) you want to use.

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

reset SMC , also uncheck and check each setting on the cursor

Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
