I also had this problem. Go to settings> itunes & app store, tap on your apple ID and sign out. Then open itunes store. It should now open.
Then sign back in again and the problem should be resolved

Volume controls don't work in Messages iOS 8. And music stops playing when I open Messages

My volume buttons don't work when I'm in Messages on iOS 8, I can't change the ringer or headphone volume. More annoyingly music stops playing when I open Messages, but I can start it again. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

For all of you, the first thing to do when these things happen after an update, is to close all your open apps and reset. This will cure your ills 99.9% of the time:
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

I just got the update for firefox 3.6.7 sometimes when I open up firefox; it acts like it is going to crash but does not. If there is to be a problem, I just wanted to let you know. If there is a problem with the update, it should be resolved as soon as possible.

Sometimes when I open a new tab, I get a blank burgundy screen that covers up the window and sometimes I can get rid of it and sometimes not. At this point, I'm ready to totally get rid of Firefox. what is going on?

When I click on the plus sign by tabs, a burgundy blank screen appears over my window, blocking the tab groups except for the top portion. I can still see the URL address field and the tabs above but when I click on a tab, it comes up beneath the blank burgundy new screen on my window. I then have to open a new window but I have to start over on the tabs. I can't use the ones behind the burgundy screen. sometime when I click on the home icon the blank screen goes away, sometimes not.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Old transcripts appearing when I open Messages

***this was happening in iChat under Snow Leopard, before I upgraded to Mountain Lion***
When I open the Messages app, the Messages window opens with two or three of my contacts from yesterday (some now online, some not)
and the full transcripts of our conversations are visible.
The only way to prevent this seems to be to ensure you CLOSE the Messages window before you quit at the end of your day? (which I often don't do)
I don't have the SAVE HISTORY WHEN CLOSED option ticked
I don't even have iMessage logging in (as this was one of the annoying things it did during the original Beta that was released, so I've not set it up as yet)
I simply have iChat account configured and don't want to see yesterdays (or longer) conversations regurgitated
anyone found why it does this?

Hi,
In earlier versions of iChat (4) there was an option to restart the App with the Last Chat showing.
The setting for this is stored in com.apple.ichat.plist
There was a change to this in iChat 5 but the Last chats could be made to show up.
(This version had a variant that showed the Last IMs or Last Chat when you clicked a Buddy that was not supposed to work across reopening).
There is not setting for this in Messages (But also nothing to delete it from the .plist)
DO the following.
In the Finder use the Go Menu
In Here hold down th ALT key
Choose the Library that appears.
Open Preferences
Find said .plist
Drag it to Trash
Restart Messages.
You will lose all non default setting you have changed in any Preferences pane except Accounts.

IOS8 - Music stops playing when I open Messages app

Since downloading iOS8, my music stops playing when I open the Messages app. I have to go back to the Music app to begin playing the music again once I have closed the Messages app. I assume it has something to do with the video/audio message feature. How can I get my music to continue playing when I open the messages app?

Rebooting my phone (a 5S) solved this issue, at least temporarily. I was ready to rush to the Apple Store and beg them for an iOS 7 phone; no music while texting is a definite deal breaker for me.
