Song capacity keeps getting less and less

i don't know if this problem has been posted already but i use to be able to hold about 475 songs on my ipod, the count keeps getting less and less and now it will only hold 460. why is the itunes not letting me add more even though there once was room? it's very confusing i'm not sure how to explain. can someone please answer this?!!

I was away from a computer for the last few days.
How many songs do you have in your library?
When looking at the number of songs on the iPod, it will vary based on the the songs themselves.
For example a song encoded at 128kbps will be about 4 MB on average, recorded at 160 will be about 6-7 MB.
Is it the same 475 songs each time, or are you changing some of the songs?
If you restore the iPod, does that change your results?

Im not sure EXACTLY what would cause this, but if you have had 4 nanos do the exact thing, its either a issue with the nanos being sold at the place your getting them at, like the local store in your area, or its a issue with your PC. I know some people report a issue with a certain malware program that sneaks on there system and causes havoc with the iPod service and in turn causes weird things with there pod.
The iPOd Service is a program that runs in the background of windows and, in basic terms, acts like the "Middle guy" translating things from the PC to the pod.

Why do contacts name keep getting longer and longer?

On some of my contacts, the name keeps getting longer and longer.
For example, if my name is Jason Kahng.
After a few weeks, when I lookup my name in Contacts it comes up as "Jason Kahng Jason Kahng Jason Kahng"
This is very annoying. If I edit the name back down to Jason Kahng, it will do this again a few weeks later.
Please let me know how to fix this problem.

Song capacity of 60G IPod and 20G IPod

I have a 60GB IPod with 517 songs now loaded (approx. 4 minutes per song) and have only 40.2GB still available. My wife has a 20GB IPod with the same songs and has only 3.1GB still available. It seems highly unlikely that my IPod can hold the advertised 15,000 songs or that my wife's IPod and hold the advertised 5,000 songs, or anything close. Perhaps there should be some allowance for the operating system but, even so, the advertised cpacity seems greatly exaggerated. Am I missing something?

i hate how apple says you can fit a certain amount of songs on the ipod, it gives people the wrong impression.
Apple's estimates for song capacity is almost perfectly accurate. They specifically indicate that their estimates are based on tracks encoded at 128kbps AAC files of about 4 minutes each. I don't see how you would get the wrong impression.
There's nothing misleading about their estimates if you read and understand how they arrived at the estimates.

I Have an iPad mini, iOS 8.1. When I'm on my iPad, it keeps going in and out of random apps. Going to settings is the worse. As soon as I click settings and it opens,it starts clicking different things and tries turning on and off settings! In Facebook, profiles and status get clicked. The screen zooms in and out multiple times. It reminds me of when you call the help desk for a computer or a computer at work and they gain access and move around clicking and you're doing nothing. Basically things are being clicked and I'm not doing it.....can anyone help?

At this point, I would go for reset to its factory default condition, using the iTunes program to get a clean system install. That way you'll clean everything out and just have it set up the way it would come from the factory. You'll need to do your backup (on the iTunes program too) and be sure you understand which stuff will be saved and which will not (from the links below). Also turn off any anti-virus program you may have on your desktop. Then when you reset it to the factory default condition, don't restore your backup just yet ... until you check it out without your data put back on it. Verify its operation first, to make sure that you know it's okay. Hopefully everything is okay at that point, otherwise you'll have to take it into Apple to check it out for any hardware failure.

Keep getting error and don't know how to fix...

ok, I keep getting this nullPointerException error.. and I have no clue what I've done wrong.... I believe its on the client side of it... because when I run just the client.. the try catch should make it be like "can't find host" but instead.. it just sits there.. the cursor blinking.. and Idk why.. so if you could please help me!!!!!!! heres the server and client code

ok so that was a silly mistake I made... yet it didn't fix the problem... whenever I run just the client, shouldn't it not find a host and not just sit there blinking? but when I do run the server then run the client I get this error from the server side

which is when it starts the ObjectOutputStream and such... so I can only assume the problems on the client side, I bet its something easy too that i'm missing.. lol

How are you trying to view your account's purchase history ? You can only view your full purchase history via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases. On an iOS device you can only see a cut-down version via http://reportaproblem.apple.com

My ipod keeps getting overheated and it's black is it because it's black or because it's just getting charged too much?

Okay so after I came home from Vermont, my black iPod started to overheat a lot. I keep it on my charger 24/7 (except when I'm going somewhere). I asked someone if it happened before on their iPod and they said no but they said it might overheat a lot because it's black and it's really hot outside but I keep it inside. My iPod is a 4th generation, 16GB, and is black. Does it keep getting overheated because of the weather, because it's black, or I'm over charging it?

Oh well there's another thing.... I plugged in my ipod and all of the sudden it showed "Temperature" and the triangle with the explication mark in the middle of it and then shut off... My ipod wasn't even overheated. I unplugged it and plugged it back in again. Then it showed a battery thing with a little red line in it but the thing is that my ipod was fully charged. So I left it there until the next day it showed the same thing so i unplugged it and turned it on... and the date and time changed.
