I tried to purchase a song today, but iTunes said the song has become unavailable while I was browsing the store. Each time I try it says this too. But the clean version (which i really didn't want) worked fine.
Any ideas? I've never seen this before.

As many of you, I've installed photos. This is my problem: I am an enthusiastic photographer that keeps around 10K photos per year (approx. 60GB), and while I have several years of pictures, I've just get the last 5 years. To be honest, I never liked iphoto to organize my pictures, I rather use Picasa. The way how pictures get organized, the poor effects tweaks to photos, the lack of freedom to keep an online folder...etc.
But with this new Photos, well, what the heck let's give it a chance.
It seemed cool, all my devices connected, iCloud (very limited storage though), new nice quick effects... the organization of pictures also seemed improved. the UI as usual with apple apps, pretty neat and clean.
Did I mentioned that I have several hundreds of GB of pictures? Well, a detail, I keep it in my time capsule to have them handy when I need it. With picasa, I just need to ensure that time capsule is waked, and pictures get recognized at once.
With photos, I've tried with 1 year, 10,000 pictures and.... very disappointed, it shutdown every 1 minute saying "Photos must quit because the photo library has become unavailable or its data is corrupt"...
Do I missing something here? is this supposed to be better than iPhoto? Time Capsule is not able to send steady signal to get my library online?

Not sure exactly whats going on with that given how new Photos is. But, Picasa works because differently than Photos because it doesn't use a centralized library. Picasa will just scan the entire computer and reference it in that location. Photos libraries, while sometimes problematic, are superior because as you've experience moving all the content is as simply as moving a single file.
Suggestions I would try:
Make sure Photos is quit. Hold down Command + Option on keyboard and click Photos icon to launch. Keep holding until you get a dialog box about repairing the library. Proceed with repair.
Move the library, if size permits, to your local HD on the computer and attempt to open and use.
Create a new library by holding Option on keyboard and launching Photos. Choose to create a new library and make sure it's placed in your ~/Pictures folder. If that works you know its library specific.
Right click on the external drive (also accomplished by holding Control when click), choose get info on the drive. Bottom of new window expand (if not already) the sharing and permissions section. Click lock icon and provide administrator password. If available, which it should be if using same drive for a Time Machine backup, check box to ignore permissions.

I suddenly get this error message when trying to open and use Photos. "Photos must quit because the photo library has become unavailable or its data is corrupt."
I can't find a solution to fix the problem.

The only version of iPhoto that works with 10.10.3 is iPhoto 9.6.1 which must be downloaded from the App Store. What version of iPhoto do you have installed?

This is actually a really common problem with pre-orders right now, seems to be on Apple's end. Songs won't be added to users' libraries as they become available... for instance I pre-ordered the new Foo Fighters album and each time a new song has been released from it I've eventually been forced to cancel my pre-order and start it again because those songs not only WON'T auto-download, but they don't even appear in the purchased section in iTunes. They only show as having been "pre-ordered" in the album page on iTunes, with no way to actually download them... and the user isn't even charged for the new song, so it's as if the pre-order is frozen. This has happened for SEVERAL pre-orders I've had in the last few months, to the point where I'm hesitant to ever pre-order again, as it literally serves no purpose. Two times now I've had the entire album become available, only to NOT download or be added to my library in any way. I ended up (as I said before) canceling my order and starting over. It's really a pain.

Authority Song has become unauthorized

I have a Second Generation Nano and I have, and always have had, only one computer that has anything to do with the I-Pod and my I-Tunes library. I recently purchased some songs from the I-Tunes store, but as I was trying today to drag them from my library into my I-Pod I got the message, for more than one song, that this computer wasn't "authorized" for the song (or vice versa). I vaguely remember authorizing it when I got the computer and I suppose that some how it has become "deauthorized." I have seen answers with people talking about how to resolve this if there is more than one possible authorized account - but that isn't my situation. Please help. Thanks

Every now and then i need to call DTAC`s call center in Thailand to renew an internet subscription.
From approximately two months ago calling +6622028100 (DTAC`s call center) gives the following message translated from norwegian "you can not call this number at the moment".
I first thought that their number had changed, but then tried to call them from my norwegian mobile and my lync subscription from work and both calls came through.
I have the following two active subscriptions which should cover this number (landline in thailand):
World minutes for Office 365 & Thailand Unlimited mins 3 months.
Does anyone know why this number is unavailable?

You can "sort" by the phone number column, and then it will group all the calls from that number together, and you can count the number of calls. Just click the column heading to sort by that heading....

ITunes library has become 'protected'

My son tried to upload the Offsripng CD to his iTunes library. It apparently showed up in the library but he couldn't play any of the songs so he then deleted the Offspring songs from the library. Now his ENTIRE music library (~500 songs) has become "protected AAC files" - can't access them and probably can't transfer them to his iPod. Preferences, library location and ownerships are unchanged. The entire library appears t have become corrupted. Any thoughts?

This is so annoying… (I have over 400 Christmas songs I won't need until next year) I have also noticed it randomly keeps updating album artwork…adding more time to each sync. Is there some way I can turn off the syncing until I have picked and deleted all the songs I want?

The cause was probably a USB glitch during a sync or when copying. The music resides on the phone in separate files. A master file contains a database with an index to the music, an entry for each track and a "pointer" to the file containing the track. Somehow the index got corrupted with duplicate entries. It's likely that the music itself wasn't duplicated, but some tracks had more than one entry in the database. I've seen this happen when syncing (rather than manually managing) also. In my case deleting the track from the Music tab in iTunes, syncing, then adding it back fixed it.
A related problem I've seen is an album may be split, with some tracks in each of 2 or more album entries in the listing. Fixed the same way.

I'm not sure that I fully understand 'tethering' other than linking to a 'master'. Nor do I quite know how to answer what I was doing when connecting--I have been trying to connect for some 8 hours now, trying multiple ways around the problem. I guess my main problem is I don't actually understand the technical action underpinning a connection. So I try narrowing down the options and then restoring each action.
I have been trying to work out where the network failure exists--in my laptop or in my iphone. I have gone back through apps, and whether these were connected through iTunes or not.
I haven't tried connecting my phone to a printer or an iPod. I only mention them because my lap top is also failing now to pair with my iPod, and I wondered whether the fault is from my laptop's network connection, rather than my iphone's network connection.
My laptop wireless connection with my printer has not been disturbed despite the network being unavailable. -- I only mentioned that as an indication that whatever the 'network' was that was unavailable, it was not the network connecting my laptop and printer.

Spotify on Windows Phone 8.1 has become practically unusable

Hey Folks, I've had this problem for a long time (many many months) and have been too lazy to post assuming that this is a issue affecting loads of others and that it would just get sorted but I've come to the point where I really need to find out what is happening. I absolutely love Spotify and use it reuglarly on my ipad and windows phone however my love affair with Spotify on my phone ispractically over. The app has become really unreliable and more often than not...unusable. Often it takes forever to load and I just see the scrolling (loading) green dots for ages before I give up. Ages being 5-10 minutes before I lose interest. Assuming I do get in, I then go to my playlists and the whole thing happens again, more and more scrolling which sometimes results in the playlists being revealed or again i just simply give up. If I do get to a playlist, I will select it....cue more scrolling whilst it tries to load the track lists which invariably never happens. Art work, none existent and if I do manage to play one track, the rest of the tracks on the album fail to get listed. If I even dare to go back to look at the playlists again, the whole thing starts over. It can literally take me twenty minutes to get round to playing one track! You'd think that this might be the sort of behaviour you'd get in a area of bad signal but this happens when i'm at home using my 50mb wifi and despite being connected to my wifi, which is reliable on all my other systems, I often get the message saying that Spotify is offline or can't connect to the network. I assume that this isn't a problem with my phone and is affecting others out there but it's become intolerable and since i pay my monthly premium Spotify subscription I expect a product that works. I understand that things get glitchy but this has been happening for the best part of the year and I really should now cancel my payments. If the problem gets fixed then I'd gladly sign up again and pay the fee but at the mo I'm not sure what I'm paying for. I never have this problem with the app on my ipad so clearly this is a windows phone problem. I have tried deleting the app and resintalling but nothing seems to work. Could you guys advise anything else I can try or at least let me know that you're aware of the problem and are trying to fix it and let us know when an update will be sent out. I know this didn't happen when I first used Spotify over a year or two ago. Thanks :-)

Hi, So glad it's not just me that is having this issue. The app is virtually unusable at the moment. The thought of having to uninstall and then spend hours, maybe days, re-syncing is not something I'll consider. Just sent the following e-mail - I'll let you know their response. If they offer me 2 months free, I'll ask them to take the offer and place it where the sun don't shine. Premium is pointless if the app doesn't work!!!!! Hi, I hope you can help. I have been a Spotify premium customer for a fair while now, and up until recently, would have recommended you to anyone - in fact, I have done just that, many times. However, seeing as you seem unable to sort out the issues with the app on Windows phone, I feel our relationship is at breaking point, and that makes me sad. A summary of the issues I have.1) Speed - It would be quicker for me to go visit the band, ask then to set up their instruments and play a song for me than it is to start the app, and get to a playlist - even when connected to wifi. I have a commute of around 90 minutes, and about a 3rd of that is spent trying to get to a playlist and start it actually playing2) Reliability - quite frankly, this is a joke. When I eventually get to a playlist, try and open it, it crashes. Admittedly, these playlists are quite large (700+ songs) but it's now started doing it on smaller playlists (one in particular is 270 songs). Considering the amount if time it takes to get to a playlist, and the time I spend curating these playlists, the thought of having to break these down into smaller chunks is not something I am willing to consider at this point.3) Syncing - 48 attempts (yes, I'm that sad that I counted) to sync a playlist of 700 songs. Sometimes it just stops (seemingly randomly) and says 'pending'. I later found out that this is because songs on the playlist had been removed by the artist (yes, I'm looking at you Prince!!!). Once I'd fired up the desktop app, removed these from the playlist) and then re-opened the app on my phone (after it had crashed) it would start syncing again. And then stop. And then crash. Surely it could simply skip unavailable files rather than just stop. I'm really rather fed up. I love Windows Phone. It's UI is far better than anything Android or that other lot have come up with, it syncs with my other Windows devices, and the majority of the apps I use (with the exception of iPlayer) are pretty darn perfect. They work. They don't crash, nor take an age to load. So please, please, please tell me that a) you are working on a fix, and b) that you will treat us Windows Phone users as equals. Adobe Muse (2014.3) "Add Web Font" Function Not Working As Expected - Newly Added Fonts Become Unavailable Though Shown

I've been having some odd/irregular issues though they have now become fairly predictable in nature. The issue is in regards to Adobe Muse (2014.3) and the availability of web fonts provided through the applications "Add Web Fonts" feature. Once added they perform as expected but then become "unavailable." Full details below. I have been a Creative Cloud Complete subscriber for a number of years so am fairly familiar with the way in which the system works minus a few issues that have popped up now and then, this one included.
System Info:
Adobe Creative Cloud (Full Subscription): Version 1.9.1.474
Adobe Muse: Version 2014.3
OS X Yosemite: 10.10.2
Here is a recap of what has been taking place. I'll detail the bug as best I can.
1. Created new Adobe Muse project. Everything normal.
2. Chose to add a new font through the "Add Web Fonts" function within Muse. A note, my Creative Cloud App is running/open at all times (in file synch mode).
3. Chose new fonts using above. All seemed fine (see screenshots below).
4. Fonts also were indicated as being "Synched" within Creative Cloud (screenshot below).
5. As expected the two fonts were added to the list of available Web Fonts within Muse (first screenshot below - left). I added them successfully to my site. Well after a number of hours I went back to this same font selection menu within Muse and the fonts were still visible yet the sub-menu that one would expect showing various forms (i.e. Bold, Italic, etc) was not available. In a sense the font could not be chosen from the list even though the name is clearly visible (second screenshot below - right).
Have no idea what may have been wrong. Saved Muse project, closed and reopened - nothing changed. Created new project - fonts still "shown" in menu but can't be used. Did find a vague description using Google of similar problem (different application) which recommended closing Creative Cloud Desktop App and reopening as one possible solution. This DID WORK initially yet the problem, though corrected for a period of time (few hours at most), would reappear again where one would again see yet not be able to choose from the two Web Fonts. Went so far as to uninstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop application and reinstalling. Still have not solved the problem.
Any thoughts as to what this may be would be welcome. Restarting the CC app each and every time the fonts become unavailable is quite time consuming to my workflow.

Thank you for the reply. Wanted to comment on a few things.
I reviewed the other post that you've referenced. Nothing unusual jumped out at me as something that I was not aware of. I'm running an older iMac that is in good working condition. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 24" screen. I know this issue is fleeting, as I stated earlier typically can be corrected with a restart of the CC Desktop application (that I am always running at startup). I have not been able to determine that shutting down Muse corrects the issue. I would, at this time say it doesn't.
I did open InDesign and see if the fonts in question, Open Sans and Open Sans Condensed, were present and usable. They were. The fonts are shown as being synched in my CC Desktop app window (even if they are not "installed" in Muse). That is expected but it may be a bug in how Muse brings in a font from those that are already synched to your CC account. I don't know enough about how that works to comment.
And just to complicate matters, Muse seems to be working again, the fonts that is. I brought them back in and they are showing up in all locations (which there are actually three - see screen shots).
First is primary text menu dropdown (to right of orange "Text").
Second is if you click orange Text link. Another drop down menu appears.
And lastly, the Text Panel to right of screen.
I also wanted to add this extra bit of information, for what it is worth. When the issue arises and you do not get the sub-menu dropdown showing various styles of the font (italics, bold, etc.), one can use click on the missing font if you had used it previously and it is present in the "previously used font" list.

we observe a strange phenomenon while running a WebLogic server (WLS 5.1 SP9 on
Solaris, httpd disabled). It happens that the server becomes unavailable via t3
for any client (application client, WebLogic console, weblogic.Admin; ->Communication
exception ) after running some hours under load.
There are no obvious problems or exceptions before the server enters this state.
The only way to end this staet of WebLogic is to kill it.
Has somebody an idea what's the reason for this?

Have you taken a thread dump when the server is in this state to try to figure out what
it is doing? If you need help interpreting the dump, please post it here.

Composites becoming unavailable automatically

We are using soa11.1.1.6 and we observe following behaviour.
We have SOA BPEL invoking OSB whcih intern invokes Ebiz web services.
Sometimes we see composites are automatically becoming unavailable.
When we cllick on composite in em console we see below error

We could not find any reason why this is happening and there is no way to recover from

One channel freezes and becomes "unavailable" all on STBs and DVR boxes

Channel 162 has been freezing, then tiling, then suddenly becomes "unavailable" and to troubleshoot. Went thru all troubleshooting steps, failed 3X, called Verizon tech support this morning too. They tried a signal boost and that failed too. Why would only ONE channel do this on all 4 STBs and one DVR box. Every other channel is fine. PS: I have service scheduled for tomorrow.

It is possible the signal is low or there is something wrong with the tuner in the Set Top Box. Let me know if you still need any assistance.

LR on your laptop is still a desktop version. It is just now able to upload to the cloud to replicate photos to either http://lightroom.adobe.com/ or an iPad that has LR Mobile installed.
I think you probably just want to change the LR 5 identity plate back so it doesn’t mention LR Mobile all the time. Hover over the identity-plate area, and click on the little triangle that appears, then choose Change Identity Plate.
