Need Help: Can I get songs I bought off Itunes from a different Computer onto my new one?

I do not have the old computer available to me anymore. But when I enter my Itunes Purchased History I see all the songs I bought on the old computer and I would really like to not have to buy those all again. Go into your system profiler and tell us your Machine Identifier that says:
iMac x,y (give us the x and y values)
That will tell us whether you are Mavericks compatible or not.
Also tell us how much RAM you have installed.

Adding Songs I bought from Real Tunes

I've just gotten into the World of Pods, MP3, Computer Tunes, etc. I've been trying out various applications. So far I like iTunes, but I have tracks and albums I bought when I was using Real Player (.rax files). Can't I now play those songs using iTunes???
I've tried opening them using File>Add File to Library.
I select the individual files (.rax). iTunes doesn't complain. It just doesn't DO anything I can see (like add it to my library). I sincerely hope I haven't lost all those songs.

Thanks for the info. I was afraid of that. Sigh. I'm so old I remember 8-track. But I love my music. I've been thru vinyl, 8-track, tapes, CD's and now this.
I know what the problems have been with "stealing" music. I have a good friend who used to manage Styx. And Procul Harum, etc. Illegal downloading has literally put Robin Trower out of business. (It's a long story, I'm not going into it here.)
But THIS STUFF (restrictions, no adaptability, weird rights, etc., etc.) is worse. I AM NOT HAPPY!!

Windows 7 laptop. Recently upgraded iTunes to 11. Bought 3 songs off iTunes Store. Downloaded them. Moved them to the directory where I keep all my music (external hard drive). None of the 3 will play. Error message "could not find the original file".
Cannot re-download them from the iTunes store. Followed the directions in the Help. No joy as there is no download icon next to these songs.

Can I get a refund for a song I bought on I-tunes?

Hi! I just bought "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri. I had to buy the song twice. The first time I dowloaded it, it said there was an error and I didn't have access to the song. How do i redownload a song i bought off the Music Store?

my osng is corrupted and it wont let me put it on my iPod because it gives me a -69 error.
anyway, i want to know how to re download the song.
it plays fine until the end when it starts to make my computer go really slow.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library and then download again from your purchased history. If the problem persists, or that facility is not available in your region contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

Fifth Gen Ipod dosent play movies bought off itunes

I have a video gen i pod and when I play certain movies that I bought off i tunes they don't play.
These movies are from the i tunes store bought through my account and they play fine on the computer using quick time. However when I try and play them on my i pod a black screen appears and I must wait for the i pod to sort itself out. However this is not for all movies, other films bought off i tunes work fine and they play both on the i pod and the computer.
If anyone has any ideas as to how to solve this problem I would greatly appreciate it as to be frank I am some what stumped!

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities

My Itunes library deleted all my music except two of the songs I bought from the store. They're all still on my phone, but I can't seem to be able to move them all back. I can get the music back another way, but I want to prevent it from happening again.

I'm not sure why it deleted everything. I had rearranged and cleaned up my desktop earlier, but I know for a fact I didn't delete anything. Now, I go onto my Itunes and only two songs I bought off Itunes are there. I had more that I bought, but even the ones I took off my CDs aren't there anymore. I had over four hundred songs and they're all gone. I can put all the music back on because I have it saved elsewhere, but I want to prevent this from happening again. Does anyone know what might have happened? I really want to keep using Itunes, but its becoming more of a hassle than anything.

I have a Sonos system in my house and suddenly discovered that many songs I bought off of iTunes years ago are 'grayed out' when I try to play them from my iPhone or do not appear as options at all when I try to play them on Sonos from my overall music library. I agree it was not all communicated real well, but in your case it will work out. You missed the program where you could have upgraded 100 tracks for 30 cents each (=$30) but now you can do it via Match (=$25). It works pretty simply, per this document:

Yes. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, you can download your previously purchased music again in the iTunes Plus format. To do so:
You need to delete the original DRM song from your library first. Doing this enables you to download the song again in the iTunes Plus format from iTunes in the Cloud.
Click the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store.
Click Music.
Locate the artist of the song you want to upgrade.
Click the iCloud Download icon next to the song you want to upgrade.
Just don't forget to put the Plus files on your hard drive -- properly backed up of course -- and to cancel the Match subscription before the second year rolls around!

Ringtone not showing up for songs I bought on iTunes

Ok, so I get that I can only create ringtones for songs bought through the iTunes store. Most of my songs are non-iTunes, but there are some that I had previously bought and want to turn into ringtones. However, after I turned the ringtone view option on, the icon only showed up for 9 out of the (according to my account purchase history) 50 songs I bought on iTunes. Has this happened to anyone else? What gives?

But all songs are NOT available for ringtone use - only those whose recording representatives chose to enable as ringtones. It's not up to apple, it's up to the label and their artists.

If you're using a Mac, click on Store at the very top of the computer's screen.
If you're using iTunes 10 or earlier on Windows, click on Store at the very top of the iTunes application window.
If you're using iTunes 11 on Windows, press the Alt and S keys.

Your purchases won't automatically show in your new Mac's iTunes library. If you go into iTunes > Preferences and on the Store tab tick the 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases' then what you can redownload should show in the Music part of your library with a cloud icon against them - click on the cloud to download them. Or click on your name towards the top right of iTunes and then click Purchased on the popup, and you can redownload them from there.
If you've moved countries since buying the music, or if the rights-holders have removed them from the store, then you won't be able to redownload them. In that case if you still have your old computer then you could copy them over from that (e.g. via an external drive : How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support or via home sharing), or copy them from your backup of your downloads/library and add them via File > Add Too Library
