Pete, I sure wish you'd have posted your solution...because I've been stumbling around for two hours and can't figure it out.
I am using a standard template "brush cover" with a dropped in picture of less than 6 MB and an aif audio track of 13.7 MB.
The menu on the simulate just rushes thru about 5 seconds, and the music continues to play but the motion on the brush and the picture appearing repeats every few seconds.
On the general tab of the menu, the inpoint is set to 0000000 and the loop point is set to 00:00:23:24 and the end point is 00:00:23:24:00.
Any suggestions? This is my first day on DVD Pro...and using FCS sure has been a big bite. I'd appreciate any help you have to offer.

solutions? (I'm 2500 miles away from the home computer with all the songs...)

    Hello sak54757,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
About your only potential solution is to try a hard reset of the iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Select and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. If no luck the first time, don't be afraid to try it a few more times.
Again, it's really your only option at this point. Sorry.

  • What does shuffle songs in iPod menu as opposed to Settings do?

What's the difference between hitting Shuffle Songs in iPod Menu and cycling through the Shuffle options in Settings? I have a 5th gen iPod Nano and if I turn Shuffle OFF in Settings and then go to Shuffle Songs in Menu, it seems to turn Shuffle back on...So, does Shuffle Songs turn Shuffle on and off too? On mine, it seems to just turn it on.
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi boulderskies@ck,
You may want to consult the iPod nano’s user guide, available here -
iPod nano 5th generation User Guide
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1194/en_US/iPod_nano_5th_gen_UserGu ide.pdf
You will see (on page 6) that selecting Shuffle songs from the main menu will play all songs in random order.
Further descriptions of shuffle functions are found on page 43.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Can you add audio tracks as selectable menu items on a dvd? I shot a wedding where the church had its own set up to record audio. I'm trying to make those songs performed by the artists available for viewers of the dvd to select for listening.?

I'm trying to make audio (MP3) tracks available for viewers of this Wedding dvd to select for listening. Is this possible in iDVD?

You will need to create a slide show for each of those songs with a minimum of 1 photo per slideshow and add the song to the slideshow audio bin. Set the audio to Fit to Music.
In your top/main menu add a submenu for the list of songs.
Add a slideshow for each song with the "+" button at the bottom:
Select the link in the menu and rename it for the song used in the slideshow.  You can create a slide image for each song with the song name, composer, singer, etc. on the image to be used for the slideshow  An image editor or Pages can be used for that and then convert to a jpeg file for use in iDVD.
The song/playlist menu could look like this depending on the theme you choose:

  • How can I view Artwork on iTunes for 1 or 3 songs per Album?

So, I am on my iTunes. On the previous Version of iTunes, you can have the list of Albums and view at the same time the Artwork whether it was for 10, 20 songs or even just 1 song. With the new version, there are four icons on the Upper Right where you can view "Cover Flow", "Album Covers", "Detailed List", "Detail List with Album Artwork"...
When I click on the "Detail List with Album Artwork" and I want to view the Artwork for those albums that I only have 1, 3, or just 5 songs, I cannot view the Artwork. I can only view the Artwork (if for example) those with more then 10 songs.
How can I view the Artwork at the same time as with those that I am able to?

I can only view the Artwork (if for example) those with more then 10 songs.
iTunes menu View > Aways show artwork.
iTunes defaults to show artwork for albums with 5 or more songs.

  • How do I remove a song from an album without removing it from my computer library or another album?

How do I remove a song from an itunes album on my MacBook without removing it from my library or from another album. It ended up in the wrong album

When you delete the song, a menu will come up and ask you if you want to trash or keep the file. Select "keep file."   It will no longer be in your song list but it will remain on your harddrive. To add it back in use the --"add to library"--  command in the  drop down "File" Menu (you have to navigagte to where the song is stored on your hard drive and select it-- to add it back in.
Re: it ended up in the wrong album
If your songs are going in the wrong place go to the "Get Info" command and check the information under all the tabs (look at a song that's in the right album to see how it's listed) -- one or more of the boxes is incorrect or empty.  Just put  in the right information and close the info window. That should put it back in the right spot for you.

  • Software to assist with editing artist info and song names in the library?

    Does any such thing exist?
    Thanks.

do i have to be online when i take music from a cd?
    Not necessarily.
Go to iTunes prefs -> Advanced - Importing. Select Automatically look up track names from internet.
This will look them up when you insert a CD.
For those you have already imported, select the songs, then menu Advanced -> Get CD track names.

  • Checking all songs in a list

is there a way to check all of the songs or something??

First highlight all the songs ( Edit menu > Select All is one approach ), right-click a song and choose Check Selection or Uncheck Selection as the case may be.

  • Cannot skip to next song

I cannot skip to the next song in itunes. No matter which method I try the song simply stops playing.
mouse-clicking on the ff/skip virtual button stops current song.
controls menu next song stops current song.
smart key cmd rt arrow stops current song.
apple keyboard ff/skip button stops current song.
    any ideas anybody?
    please and thanks,

I also am having the same issue. If I have a play list and hit the play button while in random once the first song is done itunes will stop. If I fiddle with it enough like jumping around to different tracks or restarting the app i can get it to work. I'm thinking it is a bug as it was not doing this before the last update. I have also notice the same issue on my iphone.
And yes all my songs have the check mark box on.
    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

  • Browsing The 160G Classics Music Menu

I just have a question for you all. Has anyone else noticed when you are scrolling through your playlists and you go back to the menu it seems to jump around?
Ok you probably need an example. - - - Going to Top 40 - - Avril- - scrolling through songs - - Hit Menu - - Tori Amos is now highlighted it doesn't seem to want to stay at the artist who's playlist you were just in.
I hope that is a good enough example.

Nevermind, problem resolved by running Clean Up during Recovery Mode. Apparently some files were conflicting with the usability.

  • Ipod Classic 120GB, to be repaired or not to be repaired?

    That is the question.
So I've had this baby for a few years now, got it in 08 or 09, and she's been great to me up until the last few months. It still technically works, but it's got many issues. The most frequent problem is freezing/delay, I'll click next song, or menu, or whatever and it will not respond for up to about 30 seconds I'd say, this is annoying problem but I've been able to live with it, the more troublesome issue is that everytime I plug my ipod into my computer it either drastically slows down or freezes my computer until I unplug it at which point my ipod pops up in iTunes and I get a message saying that my ipod cannot be found (after I have removed it - what a suprise!) until recently I've gotten around that problem by plugging it in disc mode, but now even that isn't working. So basically I can't put any more music on my ipod .
I've tried all the obvious, resetting, reformating (funny story, after reformating I omitted a few artists when putting my music back on then while listening to my ipod in the shower halfway through a song the ipod started playing a song which was no longer on my ipod for about 30 seconds before going back to the original song...I thought it was haunted at that point!)
I've also tried it on other computers and the same freezing/slow down happens.
So what do you guys think? I'm out of warranty but am willing to pay the $129 or whatever it is to get a new one as that is $100 off retail, should I send it in? Or is there hope yet?

    Hello lbaker06,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I understand that your headphones which came with your iPod classic are no longer functioning correctly.  Have you tried the headphones in another device to ensure they are the issue?  If so, then the accessories which come with your iPod are covered under the iPod warranty.  If your device is not under warranty, then you may have to pay for a replacement.
My iPod accessory is not eligible for warranty service. What are my service options?
You can contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to determine your service options. You may need to pay for a replacement accessory.

  • New itunes can't get my head around it

    Hello.
Recently downloaded the latest version of itunes and I honestly have tried to get my head around it with plenty of good will but it just doesn't work for me. So i was wondering am I the only one or are there others? would love to hear about what you like and what you don't like here is my comments:
    genius playlist:
why can't i see full list of previous songs played? if I would like to hear a specific previous song in the list I cannot just click it
why can't i access song sub-menu? old itunes you could right click on the song and search for the file location for example?
why do I need seperate windows to open when opening specific items such as downloads or genius why can't they just feature in the main screen?
but my biggest gripe with it  is that it just generally feels overcroweded. the previous version was so clear and easy on the eye with enough information to know what was listed but not too much to make you lose focus on what you are after. This one offers so much information on everything that I cannot seem to focus any more (maybe not bright enough )
but seriously as an example of overcrowding, it now lists all the TV series I have previously purchased and removed as already watched. Although no longer on my main hard drive it comes up as available through iclouds. I specifically stored them in a seperate hard drive to not overcrowed my itunes now they are back. and the fact that you can select to only show the non viewed TV episodes doesn't help as it shows series I have bought but haven't downloaded yet .
am I the only one and starting to become a grumpy old man? should I just accept and adapt? looking forward to hear other peoples thoughts

I love the new version of Grid view but some of the other changes feel like they still need some fine tuning. And I miss cover flow even if I didn't use it that often...
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar (your device should be listed here as before).
Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour.
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (but perhaps it does more)
If you want to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

  • Turn metronome off ... once and for all  ...

I've seen the same question both here and other places on the web ... But I've yet to see a definitve answer/solution ... :-/
So : Is there a way to disable/turn off the metronome ONCE AND FOR ALL ! ?
Now I have to turn it off every time I start a new recording/take ...

It's a bug.  Evidently, there used to be an option in the song settings menu that has recently been removed.  You can see the setting discussed here: GarageBand for iOS 2.0.x (iPhone, iPod touch): Change song settings
COME ON APPLE!, This is a obvious serious BUG, PLEASE FIX IT!  It is incredibly irritating for those that don't use the metronome.  And don't claim that the setting has been replaced with the metronome button/icon.  That button re-enables itself every time you press record.

  • ITunes Match Step 3 doesn't load,  Windows Closes iTunes.  Solution?

Since October 27, 2013 have not been able to get all 3 steps of the iTunes Match to complete.  Steps 1 & 2 load correctly and a green check mark appears for each.  However, when things move to Step 3 an error message immediately appears that indicates "iTunes has stopped working", and Windows closes iTunes.
My laptop is running Window 7.  Apple Tech Support had me uninstall all components of iTunes and then (re)load the latest version on my laptop.  All music in my iTunes library has always played correctly on my iPod Classic.  (Note: the iPod Classic has not been synced sinced the problems with the iTunes Match load surfaced as I am fearful of corrupting what's there.  Which also means all recent iTunes store purchases cannot be played on the iPod classic until it sync'd.)  Accessing the iTunes music library on the iPod Touch shows that some tracks are greyed out and not available which seems consistent with the failure of Step 3 to load.  Need help.  Thanks.

    Hi,
Try holding shift key whilst turning off match. This will clear genius / match cache. Close iTunes then reopen. Turn on match, you will be asked to add this computer, do so and let process complete.
You should also add iCloud status column to song view - menu > view > view options and tick box. This will tell you what has been matched, uploaded, purchased, duplicate or inelligible. It will show tracks that have not been processed  as "waiting". If you have any such tracks, one or more may be preventing completion. You may need to remove such tracks and gradually readd until match processes them. This may help identify problem tracks.
