Song keeps skipping
The song Lovegame by Lady Gaga keeps skipping to different parts of the song halfway, and it suddenly reduces it's length. Please help?
Had the same problem with the same song... Though I didn't bought it from iTunes Store, I ripped the CD into my library... I'm glad to see that LoveGame does the same effect to a few iTunes owners loll
If you bought it from iTunes, report the problem the Apple.
If you downloaded the song from, hum, illegal sources, try another source?
If you ripped the CD, try again...
I don't see any other reasons...

How can I get an album to play in order on Itunes? The songs keep skipping all around to other albums that I did not want to listen to at that time?
It sounds like you might have the shuffle button at the bottom left of the iTunes (the button with the squiggly lines).
If that's not the case, then maybe you just need to sort your library by album by clicking the album tab at the top.
Is your music in a playlist, or are you trying to play it from the entire library? -
Songs keep skipping to next song
I have a iPod nano 8gb. Why is it when i am listening to a song it jumps to the next song for three or more songs. What options do i have enable or disable.
I, too, am having this problem as of two updates ago. It' been like this for about two weeks now. Music stops, songs skip like I'm using an old CD player and went over a bump - just abruptly stopping/changing to the next song. I've also noticed VERY clear and sudden changes in song quality while streaming, it's a bit jarring.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm in the Phoenix, AZ area, and I'm using T-Mobile.
I have tried the following:
Restart phone
Clear data
Uninstall and reinstall
Lower streaming quality
I've noticed this seems to only happen on streamed songs.. downloaded ones are OK. Everything was fine until the update that changed the 'Your Music' section :(
Edit: Wifi works fine.. It seems to either be a) streaming over T-Mobile or b) how Spotify handles streaming/slow connections/whatever has changed in a recent update. Can past and future repliers include their mobile carrier to see if there's a trend? -
Ipod mini won't plays songs, keeps skipping
I've had my ipod mini for the last year but 4 to 5 months ago it stopped working and I'm just now finding the time to deal with this. My ipod is a mess and I'm not sure if it can even be fixed without some technician messing around with it but any help would be GREATLY appreciated. This is a long one...
The problem was:
When I selected a song from a playlist (or any category) to play it, the song information would pop up on the screen and it would play the first milisecond of the song and then the next song on the list would pop up and the ipod would do the same thing. It would do this over and over for every song on the playlist until it reached the end of the list. It did this for every category. I restarted it and NOTHING worked. But at least it turned on then. Now it doesn't.
The problem now:
I reset my ipod and took all of the songs off of iTunes, just in case. When I tried to turn the ipod back on, the folder with the exclamation point alert popped up and now the ipod won't turn on at all.
I put songs back into iTunes and tried to update my ipod and iTunes said that it was importing the songs but the ipod still won't turn on. I reset it once again just in case and I didn't put any more songs in it because that just seems to make it worse. So now the ipod has no songs in it and it still won't turn on.
It keeps giving me the same alert after a few minutes of the apple symbol and I've plugged it into my computer and it says that it's charging but it will do nothing else but charge.
Windows XPstep 1: try to restore it. this will remove everything on the ipod. then it will make sure it is current and nothing will be left on the ipod. then, just reload your music

My I Touch keeps skipping songs, these songs play on my i tunes but wont play on my i touch
My I Touch keeps skipping songs that I have downloaded onto it. These songs play on my I Tunes but wont play on my I Touch. At first it was just a few new songs at first but now its getting worse. Help!
Hello all - I had the same problem with my iPod Touch - The problem with mine was that it started happening when I added new music to my iPod Touch it started skipping most of the songs when I tried playing it in my car stereo, it would only play some songs but not all (my solution) - I back tracked and deleted ALL the NEW songs that I had added recently and after deleting ALL the new songs I tested my iPod Touch and it started working normal again so the problem wasn't the iPod Touch the problem was one or more of the new songs I added was corrupted and it was causing my iPod to skip most of the songs I tried to play - Nothing I tried was helping NOTHING - All you need to do is back track to all the songs you added recently and delete them until your iPod Touch starts functioning normal again...Hope this helps it sure helped me ;-)

Why does the music app on my phone keep skipping songs?
My music app on my iPhone 4S keeps skipping songs. It will show the album
cover for a second then it will skip right to the next song and sometimes it will
skip multiple songs. For example, once it skipped over an entire playlist and
went to the screen at the end when it showed all of the songs in the playlist.
I have update 6.0.1 and I haven't used the music app since the last update.
Any help would be much appreciated.Mine is 18.2Mb it gets to about 37mb tops, Try logging out of the app, remove all apps that are running in the background then shut your phone down and restart, if that does not work hold the power and home button and do a hard reset. You shouldnt loose any data at all but make sure you back up anyway before hand, its just like a forced reboot of a computer really.

The music app on my Iphone 5 is acting up, it keeps skipping songs and wont allow the to play. You can see the music icon the on notification bar play and pause. When i go back to the app is states the url is not responding. I have restored it from the backed up cloud save. It is the music app, I played music on pandora and it worked fine. I think it must be the app or the ios.
restore with itunes not from an itunes backup or cloud save they do absolutely nothing only a clean restore will solve your problem

My iphone6 downloaded music keeps skipping songs, anyone else having this problem?
I transferred music from Iphone4s to Iphone 6 and when playing music keeps skipping over songs continuously. Even when you move it to a song, it will keep jumping to other songs. Is anyone having this problem or do you know how to fix?
I have had the phone for over a month and so far, am not happy with at all. Hopefully, I will learn to love but not there yet at all.
ThanksI've had this problem before and its when itunes screws up on syncing. the only way ive been able to fix it is by restoring my iphone. try this and make sure to back up before restoring!

I have no idea what to do my iPod keeps skipping completely over my purchased songs please help. Thanks.
This exact thing happened to me and what I did was that I went to my itunes an unchecked all of the songs that were skipping. Then I synced my ipod without those songs. That seemed to fix the problem but just to make sure I rechecked all of my songs and synced again and everything is working fine now

My 6th generation keeps skipping to next song
My ipod, 1 day old, keeps skipping to the next song before the song is over, is there any way I can fix that? I noticed it is also doing it in iTunes.
Longshot here, but I had the same thing happen to me, and it turned out to be the way I was using my Nano. I clipped it to my shirt collar with the display inward to my chest, and the contact with my skin was triggering the touch display. Maybe not what's happening to you, but my solution was to put the display to sleep (one button push) while in use.
The fact that it's doing it in iTunes leads me to believe this isn't your problem, but it's what I got.
