Song Lyics Issue

I have recently added Lyrics to my songs in iTunes, but the issue is that I have already previously added these songs to my iPhone. Is there an way to add the lyrics w/o doubling up my songs in my phone. Also, I do not want to just sync since I have more songs in iTunes than can fit on my phone...I just want select certain ones.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You have to add them to your phone again to get the lyrics. The ones added should just replace the ones already there.
Rather than dragging songs to your phone, why not make a playlist (or several playlists) of the songs you want on your phone and sync by selected playlist(s)? Then any changes you make in those songs in iTunes will be transferred to your phone when you sync.

Itunes song purchasing issues

When trying to purchase a song, A pop-up box says there's a billing issue with a previous purchase, and asks for my password. The password is never accepted. It is the same pw I use to login etc.I've tried even changing pw's with no joy. I have an ipod touch gen4 with the original ios. I've tried upgrading the ios in the past, and that just created way too many problems. Anyone else run into this issue when trying to make purchases?

Since some of your songs play correctly here are some suggestions.
Make sure your iTunes and Quicktime are up to date.
Then deauthorize, and reauthorize your computer for your iTunes Store account.

Song download issues

I purchased songs but some will not play.. Anyone can help with this?

That is the same problem that I have been having. I e-mailed customer support, and they did respond, however, they (surprise!) told me that it was a firewall issue on my end (even though I told them that it was disabled). .. the following was also told to me by customer service:

Ironically enough, once I complained to customer service, and started posting for help on here, the downloads started working again. Quick Fix (other than what was stated above) - I just kept selecting "check for purchases" over and over, and eventually they started downloading.

Song Authorization Issues BIG TIME!

OK... Heres the issue. So I upgraded my OS from Panther to Tiger recently. Before that though i had changed my main email address because i got hitched. ok so now to the good part. When I upgraded my OS I put all my Itunes on a DVD for the transfer.... Once I was back up and running I put all the music back on the comp. Issue is ITunes will play old songs that I put on from my own CD's and I can buy and play newly purchased music BUT When I try to play a song I purchased from ITunes BEFORE my OS upgrade and before I changed my email I get the Authorization error asking me to authorize songs purchased under my old email account (which i can no longer access!). So I put in my Apple ID and my password and it says it successfully authorized 1 out of 5 machines.... BUT then the song still doesnt play! and when i click it again to play it gives me the same dam* error msg all over again! its a vicious cycle!!!!!! HHEEELLPPP! OH And I sent the ITUNES techs an email and they totally BLEW ME OFF! HELP!!

Hang in there. I had a problem that was resolved after a two week wait and I know it can be frustrating. Your problem is interesting (geek speak for very strange and out of the ordinary) so I'm guessing that either your problem is in the hands of a system guru who is trying to determine the cause and a solution or your problem is in the queue and will get to him/her in due course.

Compilation cd song order issues

Hi,
Songs on compilation cds play in the correct track order throught my iPod but in totally the wrong track order when I play them through my iMac. I'm sure I'm missing something basic, but what?

How items play on your computer depends upon which column you have selected as the display column. Click the top of a colum to sort by that order.
Also check your sorting criteria to make sure items group correctly:

Quick answer: Select all the tracks on the album, File > get info, and either give them all a single "album artist", or check the "compilation" flag (as in https://discussions.apple.com/message/17670085).
If these are from multiple-CD sets you may also need to enter the appropriate information in the disc number fields.

Dbpoweramp song name issue/free program that rips MP3s with song titl

Hi,
I was just wondering if there is a way around paying for the DbpowerAmp in order to get it to provide the song titles when you rip to MP3 format. I've ripped around 20 Cds - am I going to have to go in manually and add track numbers and titles? If so, and I go through all that hassle, will that carry over to Creative's songs when I import them into the software (all the titles i've added)?

DBPowerAmp is one of the best MP3 rippers around for 4 reasons:
. It's highly configurable to your preferred naming format, and can be expanded to support other compression formats with plugins.
2. It's accurate.
3. It's fast - in fact, it's the fastest CD ripper available.
4. It's completely free.
You should not have to pay for any part of it. When you install DB Power Amp, it comes with a program called "CD Audio Input". Use that to rip your CDs. It should be pre-configured to connect to the free online CD database (freedb.org) and will automatically try to get the CD titles when you start it up. If it doesn't then it means you are either behind a firewall (is it on a work computer?), or you are not connected to the internet, or freedb.org is down (unlikely).
The options allow you to configure how the MP3 tracks are named, and once correctly configured, you should never need another MP3 ripper.
If you are having problems using it, I would suggest going to the DBPowerAmp website for support - it will be worth it! Trust me.

I have downgraded to iTunes 10.7, and used the same for last few months.
Anyway, this album is actually a compilation - and no track number available.
Is there any way to sort based on name and then add track number accordingly (of course using a script) ?

i converted many songs mp.4 format for my iphone 4 but when i try to sync in itunes ,,i receive message cant be copied to iphone because iphone cant play it ,, resolution was 960*640 .. what could be the reason ? please help me

Hi, I'v enot had a problem with PC Suite converting, but I tend to use QuickMedia Convertor (free ware) and choose to convert to Mp4 for iPhone 16.9 then drag and drop, works fine !

Song purchasing issue: Album only songs

Hi, hopefully somebody can shed some light on this problem i'm having. I have a CD of 'Hit The Lights - This is a stick up... don't make it murder' and it doesn't include track 14 'Stick Up' which is on the itunes store. I want to purchase this song but i can't because it is an 'album only' song. Does this mean that if i want this song, i have to by the whole album even though i already have the CD? Because that is kind of annoying!

Yes, you would have to buy the whole album. And despite what the other poster said, it isn't an enticement to past customers. And it isn't something controlled by Apple. These types of decisions are made by the record companies.
They may not want a popular, or extra long song to be sold for only $0.99. They try to entice the buyer to purchase the whole album (if it was a CD, you'd have to buy the whole thing). However, in the case of popular songs, you might see it go on sale by itself once after it is no longer a top song. If it's a long song (something you see in the classical music a lot), it may never be sold except as part of an album only track.

Song Filing Issue

I have all my songs sorted in itunes according to artist. problem is that that dont all appear in my ipod associated the same way. For instance, Wild World by Jimmy Cliff is bundled in the Jimmy Cliff folder on my itunes. But it does not appear in Jimmy Cliff Artist section on IIpods

There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances but the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous to all the blanks in place of a title. Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Compilations are stored in a separate folder in iTunes so the songs don't appear inside the normal Artist>Album folder.

Song list issue

Whenever I add some artists to my iPod (5th G), the tracks will be out of order. I have even added the track # through the 'Get Info' -> 'Info' in iTunes.
For example:
Name - H.
Artist - Tool
Track Number - 3 (of) 15
I have EVERY song labeled like that (with the correct track numbers of course). They list IN ORDER in iTunes, but when I transfer them over to my iPod, they're out of order. This is rather annoying since they are supposed to be gapless albums. I even made sure the song info was the same after I transfered it over to my iPod.
Some help would be MUCH appreciated. If you could even e-mail me ([email protected]), that would be GREAT!

Try removing the Album Artist info on the songs in your library, then replace the songs on your iPod with the updated copies to see if that fixes it.

Song change issue

when im listening to a song and press the change song button it will take like 15 seconds to go to the next song. what should i do?

Song transfer issue

I have many songs unchecked in iTunes to not transfer to the iPod. However, all the unchecked songs are being transfered. How can I stop the unselected songs from transfering?

And do you have the box marked "only update checked songs" selected in iPod preferences?

Song Transfer Issues

When I sink the shuffle it will transfer a couple of songs and then give me an error message. I'm guessing I just need the software update but has anyone else encountered this problem? Of all the previous iPods, iphones, and shuffles I've had this is the first time a syncing error has occurred.

That happens when the cable on the ipod shuffle is moved. It happened to me three times when I tried to sinc it the first time. When the pin on the cable is twisted the iPod disappears, gives the error message and the songs do not stay in the iPod. Try to sync it without moving the pin at all.
