Song Status Bar Gone in iPod after loading 1.1.2

Ever since I loaded 1.1.2, the song status bar disappeared from the song list screen. I'm stuck on the 5-star rating screen and can't get it off. Any ideas?

Am I just not understanding you or did you post this in the wrong forum. This is the iPhone forum, did you mean to post in an iPod forum?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise delete and resync if they play OK in iTunes on the computer

Safari status bar no longer shows page load progress

Hi... Though it's been this way for a while now, perhaps since the start of whatever Safari version came along with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion ??, I've finally become curious enough to ask about the following...
In times gone by, the Safari status bar at the bottom of the page would show page loading progress... You know, the old xx out of yy items complete or something like that??? But now, nothing... Nothing at all in the Status Bar while a page is loading... Nor is there a spinning gear in the URL line to show you something is going on... Instead, all there is is the blue progress bar that slowly moves left to right across the URL box to show you what is happening... And often that blue bar stalls where it just sits for quite a while... And when that happens I never know the details of what is going on...
Do I have something set up wrong??? Or did Apple decide we don't need to know what's going on while pages attempt to load??? I sometimes quit Safari when I have a secure page log on that appears to stall and all I have as feedback is a stalled blue progress bar...
All I ever see light up in the status bar is the URL of a link I might hover over on a page... Otherwise, nothing... That doesn't seem right... Again, am I doing something wrong in the Status Bar set up or is that all the Status Bar ever shows now???? And if the latter, why would Apple have chosen to stop letting us observe page loading progress??? At least that used to tell me something was happening.. A blue progress bar that stops moving doesn't tell me anything useful...
Any thoughts or help on this would be much appreciated... thanks... bob...

The music sync is how you got the music from the computer to the ipod in the first place.
You cannot sync it from the ipod to the computer as I explained in the previous post, unless it is itunes purchased music.

Status bar with opera style page loading statistics?

Anyone ever seen an app or terminal code or something that allows us to see page loading stats (seconds taken, # images loaded, speed, etc) like the status bar in Opera or one you can load in FF? I would love to have this ability in Safari. I found one that gives instant feedback on W3C compliance of the loaded page, but not about page loading stats.

I want simple and quick view of time took page to load, how many images, speed, etc...
Load times can be found under Develop > Show Network Timeline, or by clicking on the Network icon located in the left-side column of the main Web Inspector window.
I use it sometimes BUT it is a stand alone window...
You might try clicking on the window-merge toggle button found in the extreme lower left corner of the Web Inspector window, directly underneath the Network icon. Good luck.

Where has the full status bar gone?

I am on version 7.0.1 and the status bar along the bottom only appears when it is doing something, and even then it abbreviates certain links if they are longer than the status bar.
this isn't terribly useful when programming. I am sure you use to be able to get an Addon to put the whole thing back.
Can someone tell me where it is please.

Are you using the Status-4-Evar extension to show the Status bar or do you mean the pop-up that replaces the status bar that appears to show messages?

TX Status Bar gone

I no longer have a full screen on my Palm TX or most of the applications. The Status Bar has disappeared. I know where to tap for most functions because of previous use. I cannot seem to swit ch it to the landscape view either for documents to go, web apps etc. Can I get it back?

The fastest way to resolve this issue is to hard reset the device, if you backuped your information to your PC then do it. But if you haven't then try the following; check/remove any screen protectors, do a system warm reset (this turns off wireless functions - sort of like safe mode on your PC) and remove third party apps/ you can hotsync at this stage if you haven't. Do a soft reset and try calibration the screen, and finally if nothing works do a hard reset.

The status bar gone

I looked through help and this is what I read when I wanted to know how to get my status bar back at the bottom of the page.
"The old Status Bar is dead, long live Status-4-Evar! Status-4-Evar is an Add-on that recreates all of the features of the old Status Bar and lets you put them in the new Add-on Bar. "
If this is true, I guess I will try some other browsers. I have used your browser for a number of year, but I do not like the stauts bar missing. it was nice to know when and how far a page was actually going especially if it was slow. Now all i get is a little box with the words that used to be in the corner. I tried to click on it hoping to get the bar back and it moves to a different area. I do not feel you did me any favors. I don't like that you decided to move open in new tab and new window either when I right click on a link. I have been opening new windows all night. I will see if anyone else has things that are still the way they USED to be on a different browser.

All I want is just that
Your add-on bar able to remove that sick and silly X button
You status bar able to grab and move it to fixed at your add-on bar
ALL DONE!

I cannot get my songs to sync to my Ipod after I installed the new update because I had to restore the ipod.

I originally had an error message that said Ipod cannot connect to iTunes, ipod needs to be restored. After I updated the itunes software I was able to restore my ipod. Along with the restoration it updated the software. When it was done restoring and updating my music was off of the ipod, and now I am not able to sync my music to ipod.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device

Songs are all gone from Ipod

My Ipod model number is MB263LL. I have not used my ipod for awhile and it seems that all of my downloaded songs are gone. I bought some songs from the Itune store and they are not in my Ipod for use. What could have happened? Please advise?

If you "wiped" the computer, the music will obviously no longer be there. If you then reinstalled iTunes and synced your iPod, it would have synced to an empty iTunes library, any songs on the iPod would be erased (because there are no songs in the iTunes library you synced to).
If you purchased songs from the iTunes Store, they may (?) allow you to re-download songs based on your purchase history. I say "may" because you are responsible for making backups of your downloaded songs, and they are not required to allow a second download (it's not a feature of the iTunes Store that you can re-download previously purchased songs). Note: There is a command under +File > Library > Back Up to Disc+ to help with doing a backup, even if you don't have a second hard drive to use for the backup.

until you get to a link that says "Still need help?" with a +Contact Us+ button. Through this link, you can send an email and explain your situation. They may reset the songs you previously purchased (minus any songs that are no longer available), and the songs can be downloaded again through iTunes.

Getting my itunes to eject my ipod after loading pictures

I updated some new music and pictures 4 hours ago. My iTunes says "iPod update complete". my iPod says "do not disconnect" for the last 4 hours. When I try to eject my iPod I get an error message that says it "can't be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application. What gives?

Connect your iPod and in iTunes go to Preferences>iPod. Under the Music tab see if you have your iPod set to automatically sync with iTunes and also have a tick in the box marked “enable disk use". Remove this tick and your iPod should automatically disconnect after it’s finished updating.
If you have your iPod set to manual, the tick box will be greyed out, set it to auto, untick the disk use box and set it back to manual.

Multiple status bars in forms 9i

I have recently upgraded from forms 6i to 9i. I have removed some stuff (like the default menu). I am close to being done with this upgrade. I have one issue that I am having difficultly with. When I load my form, that form gets a status bar. I have a tabbed canvas and when I click on the next tab (which is a new form) the new form gets its own status bar. So, now I have a case where I have two status bars visible when I open a new form. The first forms status bar is still there after I load the new form. In forms 6i, I do not have this problem so it must be something new.
Is there anything I can do about that? I really only need the status bar for the form I am using? When I exit the other form and return back to the first form, the status bar associated with that form goes away.
Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated...

I recently had my account smurfed,I think it's called-my email was attacked-sent a bunch of emails to friends as if from me---I changed password,etc-no other problems since-but I realized this morning that there's something in my status bar with chinese characters after it(the attack on my email was from Chinese source) and when I put my cursor over it-it doesn't give me any options-doesn't open...I suspect its from the same attacker---what is it? From Apple support, I found out this file is in the operating system folder. Apple support is satisfied that it's not a virus because a virus wouldn't be mixed with the operating system files. I only have familiarity with PCs and know that malware frequently disguises itself within the Windows operating system. Are there any out there who are adept with OS X 10.8.2? There must be someone. I mean, people code software for new Macs all the time. Anything would be helpfull: a book, an article--anything. I don't want to spend money on an antivirus program that may not even work and probably also slow down my computer. I went through all the major antivirus programs on my PCs. All of them allowed malware to get onto my computers. And what's worse, they couldn't delete the viruses. They would just give complicated instructions that involved manually editing the registry in Windows. The primary reason I bought a Mac is that I was told at a Mac retail store that I don't need an antivirus program; that the operating system is designed with built in barriers to malware. I thank anyone in advance for help.

Now that the "Status Bar" is gone, is there a way to hide the "status notification" (bottom left corner) when a page loads? This is on Windows & FF5/6

The so called "Status Bar" has apparently gone away since FF4, I'm now onto 6 I think, on my work machine. But one of the things I liked about the Status Bar was that it could be hidden entirely.
With no Status Bar, now when a page is loaded in FF, you get a floating "Status Notification" in the bottom left corner for a second or two while the page is loading (this even happens in FullScreen F11, something I never had to deal with when the Status Bar existed).
What I want to know is, is there a way to turn off this "Status Notification" entirely? A setting somewhere? Something in About:config? I haven't been able to find anything.
