Song stored as lossless can not be moved to iShuffle

I just bought a iShuffle, I have CD imported in lossless format, and can not be moved to iShuffle, is there a way to reduce the file size and download to iPod shuffle without importing it again at a reduced file size?

Select teh iPod in iTunes.
Tick *Convert Higher Bit Rate Songs to 128 kbps AAC*.
This will convert songs on teh fly while adding them to the shuffle. They will not be changed in your iTunes library.

Bookmarks save only in 'recently bookmarked' folder & can not be moved to other folders

I can no longer save bookmarks to a designated folder - they go only to 'recently bookmarked' folder and can not to moved to other folders- when attempting to move them to another folder, they appear in the designated folder list but when I return to the main browser page, they are not listed. They are still in the 'recently bookmarked folder' only. I have attempted to save bookmarks many times since, with no success.

Those bookmarks should be located in one of the root folders.
If you click the star in the location bar then the page will be bookmarked in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and the star turns yellow (blue on Mac) to show that.<br />
If you use "Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page" then the bookmark will go to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder (you need to confirm that).
"Most Visited" and "Recently Bookmarked" and "Recent Tags" are examples of so called [[Smart Bookmarks folders|Smart Bookmarks folders]] and are not real existing folders.
* Such smart folders show a list created by a query of the places.sqlite database that stores the bookmarks and the history in Firefox.
* Bookmarks or history items that show up in a smart folder list are stored elsewhere in another folder and any changes made are applied to the real bookmark or history item.

The hard disk can not be split because some files can not be moved

Prerequisites: Computer has had a partition installed in bootcamp with a non-complete Windows XP installation
Started by uninstalling the old windows and restore the partition.
Got error on disk so it was cooked by the Lions recovery and was OK
Trying to re-install Windows, but get the same problems that
"The hard disk can not be split because some files can not be moved"

Problem solved by reducing the size of the windows partition to 40GB (from 50GB).
I had a quit full disk so perhaps that influenced, not i have about 43GB left for mac and 40GB for windows

Material/Serial Nbr is "Stuck" in a storage location and can not be moved

We have a situation created by my customers which has lead to a situation I have never seen before. A material/serial nbr. that is in our Returns location that can not be transfered, issued, removed, or anything via ANY MIGO movement type combination.
This is what happend:
- Customer return processed. Material ABC, Batch XYZ with Serial Nbr. 123 brought into our "RT" StoreLoc.
- Clerk processed MIGO to do a Stock Transfer of this material to another StoreLoc. (PS). He entered in the material ABC, batch XYZ, and a bad serial number 1233. He used a 453 Movement type.
- After realizing his mistake, he processed MIGO again and processed a GI Xfer posting with a 972 movement type to get rid of the bad material/serial nbr. he had just moved to the PS StoreLoc.
- Then he tried to redo the Stock Transfer using a 453 Movement type for the material ABC, batch XYZ, and the good serial nbr. 123, but, he gets a "Deficit of BA Ret.blocked prev. 1.000 EA " error message.
- At this point, he contacts me to ask what can be done.
No matter what we try to do, we can not access this part/serial nbr. combo to move it or issue it or whatever. It is like a ghost now. You can see the serial number via IQ03, but you can not do anything with this part/serial nbr.
Help! Do I need to write an ABAP to physically delete this material/serial nbr from its batch?

First of all, I would assume you used customized movement type 972 to 'get rid of' your material ID with wrong serial number 1233 at PS storage location. If this is the case, then this posting did not return the stock quantity from PS to your RT storage location and that why when you tried to make another posting (with correct serial number 123), an error message was popped up as you simply do not have available stock. The solution in this case are -
1)   Cancel the posting that you made previously with movement type 972. This cancellation will help return your stock (though with wrong serial number 1233) to PS storage location;
2)   Cancel the posting that you have posted to move your stock back from PS to RT (again with wrong serial number). This steps ensure the stock quantity '1' is available at RT storage location;
3)   Make another stock transfer (with correct movement type 453 and serial number 123) from RT;
4)   Delete the serial master record 1233 so that it can no longer be used.

I can not manage music on an additional device. Thephone has music from my library on it. But when I connect the phone to my computer it shows there is nothing on the phone. When I gry to add a song, I get an error message that says can not be copied to IPhone Helen(name of the phone) because it can not be found, even though it shows on the coputer

Windows are out of reach - can not be moved back onto the screen

On one client, somehow the windows (i.e. Item Master) are opening like moved out of the main screen. At the top of the main B1 window I can only see the lowest part of the Item master and I am not able to grab and move it back.
How can I revert this and reset all windows to the default position?

I tried this before .. without success .. I did it again. It works, under some circumstances. Here's what I found:
-If UDF's are attached to the window (i.e. ItemMaster) at the bottom and cascade is clicked, it moves out of the main screen and can not be grabbed and moved back.
-If UDF's are hidden (CtrlShiftU) then clicking cascade works and brings it back into the main screen area.
Seems to be a bug, IMHO

Lock a stamp so it can not be moved or changed

I found a way to do this one in Acrobat 7 pro and now can not remember how it is done.
It ends up that you click on the stamp and the black box appears but you can neither move nor change the contents.
Any ideas on this?

The stamp properties can be accessed by right-clicking on the stamp and selecting Properties.

LPN which has an allocation for its contents partially can not be moved

LPN#A has qty of 10 for ITEM1 and this LPN#A is packed and stored at a storage subinventory.
A move order Issue is created for ITEM1 for qty 2 and approved.
Move order pick slip is run with auto allocation on.
An allocation is created automatically for ITEM1 for qty2 pointing to LPN#A.
We need to issue out qty2 from this packed LPN#A which has qty 10. Hence it needs to be unpacked and split. To perform this I need to move this LPN#A to a packing station.
System does not allow to move the whole packed LPN#A to the packing station due to existing allocation.
It is WMS enabled organization and we use Mobile WMS.
Is there a way out to introduce the staging concept here. So the LPN#A could be staged to the packing station as soon as it is picked.
We do not have shippig and order management so depend on Move orders which we create manually via create move order screen.

After picking the LPN#A it may take a few days to complete the packing/splitting.
So inventory balance needs to show that LPN#A has been picked and moved to a packing location.
The issue of move order will take place from this packing station.

Some files can not be moved to partition hard drive

Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again." is the message I receive every time I attempt to partition my hard drive for boot camp. Is there a step-by-step way to do this?

Bean Boy:
When a partition is created the computer moves all files to one area of the current partition so that it can have a clean new partition. In your case it appears that your drive is fragmented (files scattered throughout the drive) and Boot Camp is having issues trying to consolidate them in one area. Try moving any large files to an external drive and see if that helps. Perhaps try making a smaller partition size of Windows under Boot Camp.
If none of the above works then you can take more aggressive measures by choosing one of the following. Please note that I have tried none of the below as I did not experience the issue that you are having.
Option 1 - Click [Here|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7311606].
Option 2 - Purchase [iDefrag|http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iDefrag.php] and defragment your HD. This will move all of your files in one area. You can then run boot camp and it should go well from there.
Option 3 - Back up your HD using Time Machine. Boot from Leopard installation disk and format the entire HD (OSx format). Run Boot Camp from Leopard Installation disk and create the Windows Partition and Install Windows. Once that is done then Boot From Leopard Installation disk again and restore the OSx parition with the Leopard backup that you created via Time Machine.

File can not be moved by drag and drop in the finder when not open Finder windows

With the operating system OSX Snow Leopard, it was possible, for example, a file from the desktop to pull drag and drop on the Finder icon, the page opened after a short and you could put the file in a folder.
At this stage I must first open the Finder to drag a file into the destination folder.
Is it a setting or is there anything wrong with my Mountain Lion properly?
It is often the case that several windows of other applications are open or in Fullscreen are, then I would, as I also already knew and am accustomed, for example a file regardless of the location from which drag drag and drop in the Finder without leaving the / program / site to open the Finder, before returning to the file then select I wanted to move.
Note: For all other programs it works.
Finder not only in where it makes the most sense.

I have not been on itunes for a while now and I was going to look up some songs but now I can not listen to some because it says I need to download the new itunes that is out now

once i finshed downloaded it, it still would not let me play any songs still said I had to download the new i tunes I think on tuesday I will call the support line and get a live person to help will they possibly be able to fix this?

Purchased song grayed out and can not delete

I purchase a song and received a permission error. I clicked OK and assumed the download completed. I then purchase another song. There was no error message. Both songs appear in my Music and Purchase folders but the first song is grayed out with an exclamation mark in the first column. I tried to download it again and received a warning message saying I had already downloaded it and a second download would result in a duplicate. I tried to delete the grayed out download and could not.

No available downloads under Store>Check for Available Downloads, but I found a "Download" folder under the "Store" folder. Clicked on that and selected resume and the download completed. The Downloaded folder the disappeared. All is well.
