Song will play over again after it finishes

After a song finishes playing, it will start over again. The time left that is shown on the scrubber remains at 0:00 but it just keeps playing. The song won't change unless I manually hit the forward button. Shuffle is on and repeat is off.
Any help would be appreciated

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

    Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
    While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
    If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • My iPod nano will go into the sleep mode while a song is playing a second after the screen goes blank; the song will stop and I will then have to press the sleep/awake button to pick up where the song left off.  How do I fix this?

    My iPod nano will go into the sleep mode while a song is playing a second after the screen goes blank; the song will stop and I will then have to press the sleep/awake button to pick up where the song left off.  How do I fix this?

    Your problem is that your iPod is not sensing that your headset is inserted. There is a pin inside the headphone port on the Nano that senses if it is inserted fully. If it does not sense anything, it will pause playback to save battery power when the screen dims. Here are the solutions:
    Insert it fully. This will fix it for most of you. Press that thing in there all the way. You should feel and hear a full click when it is fully seated. If you can see ANY silver of the headset jack, it is not fully inserted.
    Debris inside the headset port. If you are totally unable to push the headset jack all the way, the most likely problem is that you have crud inside your headphone jack. Try blowing it out or slapping it against your palm with the headset port facing your palm to try and get the stuff out. If you look into he jack with a light, you should be able to see to the bottom. The entire inside of the headset port is white, so if it looks dark at the bottom, that is the crud that is keeping your nano from working.
    Headset jack or plug issue. If you cannot solve the problem with 1 or 2, then there is likely something physically wrong with either the headset jack on your headphones or the headset port on the nano.
    If none of the above works, you need to take it to the Apple store or wherever you purchased it. I think they are still under warranty.

  • To restore my itunes library.  but no songs will play.  what next?    i

    i had backed up iTunes to external hard drive since i had to do a clean install on my computer.  My os is windows vista.
    I installed iTunes on my computer.
    Then i copied the iTunes folder on the external hard drive to the music folder on my clean computer.
    these are the steps i followed:  iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
    i followed these steps for
    Restoring your iTunes Library backup
    When you need to restore your backed up iTunes Library from your external hard drive to your computer, follow these steps:
    Quit iTunes.
    Locate your external hard drive.
      Windows: In My Computer
    Drag the iTunes folder (backed up earlier) from your external hard drive to whatever location you desire on your internal hard drive. It is recommended that you choose the default location for the iTunes folder, which is:
    Windows Vista: \Users\username\My Music\
    Open iTunes while holding down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows).
    In the resulting dialog, click the Choose Library button.
    Select the iTunes folder you just moved to the internal hard drive.
    Click Choose (Mac OS X) or Open (Windows) and then choose the iTunes Library file inside .
    After following these steps, iTunes will open and your iTunes Library will be restored.
    to get my iTunes library in iTunes.
    Well, my library IS  there with playlists.  But no songs will play.
    Obviously i've missed a step or done something incorrectly.
    please help.

    Are the songs displayed with exclamation marks? The exclamation mark for missing files is shown if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place. Changing the path to the media folder won't fix the links to files you've moved by hand.
    Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then say no when asked to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. I can provide a step by step guide if you give me the two paths.
    In some cases iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps and locate the lost track. It may then offer to attempt to automatically fix other broken links. Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. I would suggest you untick Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Keep iTunes Media folder organized before you start so that things don't have to move around as they are repaired.

  • Upgraded to 7.7 now NO songs will play

    After upgrading to iTunes 7.7 I tired playing the songs in my library. The little speaker icon is showing next to the song, the play button is shown as 'pushed' to play...however the progress bar for *any song* I try to play is not progressing. NONE of my songs will play in my library, nor, after I plugged in my iPop, will any of my songs on my iPod play through the **** upgraded iTunes either.
    Is anyone else having this problem?
    (iTunes is loaded on work computer, window based, running windows XP)

    Are you currently also getting an "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration" message when you launch iTunes?

    When I try to play an album from my library, the first song will play, but then it jumps to a different album.  iTunes is also splitting up certain albums like sound tracks.  any help?

    I'm thinking you sync to your computer over Wi-Fi, if correct, switch to sync when connected to iTunes, turn off sync over Wi-Fi. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

  • I downloaded an album from Itunes but one of the songs will only play first 4 minutes. It is the last song on the album. All other songs will play.

    I downloaded an album from i Tunes but one of the songs will only play first 4 minutes of 26 minutes and then stop. It is the last song on the album. All other songs will play. The Album is U.F.O. 2 One Hour of Space Rock.

    Jim, wanted to let you know it worked.  I deleted the entire album since it was an album only (26 minutes long) song, then I went to the home icon of iTunes store, clicked on purchased and saw previous purchases and bam, I downloaded the album again and it now works!!!  Thanks..

  • None of the songs will play in my library

    none of the songs will play in my library, even with my ipod plugged in, an error message reads that the original file cannot be found, and then asks me if i want to locate it .... not sure what to do?

    Hello chefygirl84,
    It sound as though your iTunes library files have been moved or can not be located. I have included an article that will walk you through a series of troubleshooting steps to potentially resolve this:
    iTunes: Finding lost media and downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1408
    Follow these steps if you're missing music or other media that you expected to appear in iTunes. You may notice an exclamation point to the left of items in your iTunes library, or they may not appear at all. Exclamation points appear when iTunes is unable to locate the media file or when a purchased item hasn't downloaded.
    Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

    Only 1.5 minutes of a 7 minute downloaded song will play.  How can this be fixed?

    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

  • Only the first few minutes of songs will play

    I have a 4th gen iPod Nano and when I try to play music only the first few minutes of each song will play. Each song cuts off at the same point each time and this ranges from about 2:30 to around 6:20 from the tracks I have tested. Some of them at least are currently in 256kbit aac although I have tried resyncing them with the option to convert higher bitrate tracks to 128kbit aac. This has no effect on the "stopping" point for each track. The music plays fine on iPhone 4, 5 and in iTunes. I have restored the ipod to factory settings and tried resyncing but to no avail.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    I am running OS X 10.8 with iTunes 11.

    a security idea for improvement: A password request before switching the phone off would give a user the chance of finding the phone within the first few minutes of it being stolen, since the thief wouldn't be able to turn the phone off.

    I purchased an album on iTunes. Only half of the songs will play. What can I do?

    Hi crgcain,
    If some of the songs on an album purchased from the iTunes Store are incomplete or won't play, you may want to try deleting them and redownloading the files. You may find the following article helpful:

  • Corrupt songs will play in quicktime - but won't copy to HDD.

    Hi All,
    Background/Symptoms: My macbook pro (2008 unibody) crashed a little while ago. It started being really sluggish, so I tried to install an update and during the update I got an error. I turned off the computer and it wouldn't boot past the apple logo. When I started it in Verbose mode I was getting a disk input output error.
    What I've tried:
    1. Took it to the genius bar, after the tests on the HDD he said that it appeared to be fine and to try reinstalling the OS.
    2. I tried booting it up in target disk mode to copy my files over to my imac and was able to get off a good portion of my documents. When I tried to copy over music I would get an error 36 saying that it couldn't be copied, I went through the artists individually and it said this for about 90% of them.
    3. I tried reinstalling snow leopard (that was my current OS) but about 1/4 the way through the install a big exclamation mark appeared and it said the install failed.
    4. After the failure above, I did an archive and install of Leopard (not snow leopard) and was able to get the OS up and running.
    Current Situation:
    So with the semi success above, I can view my music in the previous systems folder from the macbook pro's new OS. When I try to add the music to itunes, it says it's corrupt and won't add. I get the same error (36) when I try to copy it from the previous systems folder to an external hard drive or just to the desktop of the macbook pro. Here is the weird thing. When I open the corrupt files in quicktime player, they play! On one of the songs that I'm testing, only the first 3 minutes plays and then it ends, but on most of the others it will play fully. Is there a way to scan for the corrupt songs and only copy over the ones that aren't corrupt?
    Thanks in advance, please let me know if there are more details I can provide.
    ~Greg

    I have experienced that when there is something a little quirky about the files. Personally, what I would do in your situation is use iTunes to convert the files to AAC using these instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550 Then see if the AACs transfer to the iPod.

  • How to pause external vdos to play it again after played another vdo

    Hey! I have a question.
    I have many external vdos which I have loaded and randomly play them once at a time by press some keyboard buttons.
    Let's give vdos named a,b,c,... and picture this....
    When people press a button a vdo A is playing then someone press another button or the same button the vdo B will be played immediately.
    The same thing happen to vdo B if someone press any button on keyboard to play vdo C. After every vdo has been played, the program will set all the vdos back so people can play it again now but, I do want it to play in exact same point where it left.
    Right now, my code can ramdomly play all the vdo without repeat them untill it plays them all. But I know because I REMOVE the vdo out so that's why the program don't play it again like this: var NewStore:Array = VdoStore.splice(i,1);
    I think this way can't make a program to remember the vdo's timeline. But I don't know whatelse can I do to do what I want.
    Anyway,
    Someone tell me to try out some index to the array and add ++ after playing. Then after index is more than Array's length, just reset index to 0 again.
    So...Any suggestion on how to pause many external vdos??

    use the shuffle function to randomize your videos and then play from index = 0 to index=videoA.length-1:
    function shuffle(a:Array) {
        var p:int;
        var t:*;
        var ivar:int;
        for (ivar = a.length-1; ivar>=0; ivar--) {
            p=Math.floor((ivar+1)*Math.random());
            t = a[ivar];
            a[ivar] = a[p];
            a[p] = t;
