spotify on my iphone are skipping and playing fast, also sounds like 2 songs playing at once, its also happening on my desktop, please help thank you

Hello , welcome to the community!
Please, do a clean reinstallation. This can resolve many common issues.
If you're still having problems, please, let us know:
    1. Exact Device (e.g. iPhone 5S)
    2. Exact operating system (e.g. iOS 8.3)
    3. Spotify app version installed (2.2.0)
    4. What are you doing when the app skips/ stops/ crashes? Is it when it opens? When scrolling through tracks? When searching?
    5. About how many playlists do you have?
If you could get back to us with those details it would be great. Thanks!

  • Downloaded song plays partially on computer and iPod

I downloaded a song from iTunes store.  It shows it is on my computer, and lists a 3:29 playing time.  However, it plays only 10 seconds and quits.  The same happens on my iPod.  I reported a problem to iTunes without any response.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

See: iPod does not play content purchased from the iTMS.

  • I recently uninstalled my itunes and reinstalled. after that i lost all my music and am unable to put hunderds of songs back onto my itunes and ipod. help!

I uninstalled my iTines and re-installed on my Fujitsu laptop. When I went to synch, I was unable tosynch my iPod to my iTunes. In addtion,I am unable to put my iTunes library of 100s of songs back onto my iTunes or iPod.I have lost all my compilations and my playlists.

    Hey bryce255,
Thanks for the question, that definitely sounds frustrating. Luckily, we have steps available that may be able to restore your previous library:
No content shows up in iTunes after updating
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1967
    Resolution
    1. Quit iTunes.
    2. Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
    3. Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
    Mac OS X
    /Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
    \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
    \Users\username\Music\iTunes\
    4. Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
    5. Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
    6. Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
    7. Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
    8. Rename this file to iTunes Library.
    9. Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.
If the above does not resolve your issue, you can learn about re-creating your iTunes library:

  • Music imported from CD skips on Computer and IPod

After I have imported an album into iTunes, some of the songs skip while playing. It's as if it has a bad case of hiccups.
I have tried re-synching with the iPod; restoring the iPod to defaults; deleting iTunes and reloading.
The CD does not have any skips.
    Any suggestions??

I had problems importing audio CDs into iTunes. The imported tracks would skip during playback. To rule out faulty playback by iTunes, I used Windows Media player to playback the imported files (MP3, AIFF). The same skipping was there also. This meant the problem was in the way iTunes imported the tracks.
To rule out a problem with the CD/DVD ROM drive or CD media, I experimented with importing the audio CD tracks using Windows Media Player (creating WMA files). I found no skipping, no glitches during playback.
I read a few threads online that pointed towards system configuration, system load, and quality of the optical drive. But why would Windows Media Player work and iTunes not work on the same system? The problem still seemed to be with iTunes, not with my system.
Making matters worse, the problem was elusive because the skipping and glitches were slightly different from trial to trial, but the file size would be exactly the same each time. Also, the first track imported during a session seemed to have more errors than subsequent tracks. This left me suspicious of all imported tracks.
I disabled "Play songs while importing or converting" but that alone did not make a difference.
Finally I found something that worked. When I originally configured iTunes for CD importing, I selected "Use error correction" even though I had not experienced any prior problems. I had selected it as a precautionary measure. When I finally disabled error correction, the skipping went away. Just to check, I re-enabled error correction and the problem returned.
Edit > Preferences > Advanced Tab > Importing Tab
Option "Play songs while importing or converting"
Option "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs"
If the problem reoccurs, I will replace my CD/DVD ROM drive. One user said that worked.
I still have more testing to do. The first track imports fine. I still have to test importing an entire CD and listening for errors. But I am fairly confident that the problem is fixed.

  • My songs are skipping in i tunes when i am playing games or moving the mouse doing other things and only happens on computer not my devices

My songs are skipping in itunes and it is just on computer and happens when i burn to cds songs skip. My other devices the songs don't skip. And skipping is when i am playing a game or moving mouse and checking on something and it is most of songs.

    Hello Cathy 21084,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
    Troubleshooting songs that skip
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3217
Make sure song files are not damaged
If a specific song skips when you play it, it may be damaged.
    1. Delete the song and update your iPod.
    2. Insert the CD you used to import the song and import it again. If the CD is scratched or dirty, iTunes may not be able to import the song. Try cleaning the CD or use a different one. If the song was imported or created using a third-party application, try the following:
Use iTunes to import the content directly from the CD.
Convert the content to an iPod-compatible format using iTunes.
    3. Update your iPod with the new copy of the song.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Songs are skipping on new ipod

I just bought a new ipod shuffle and all of my songs are skipping and breaking up. Some songs are bought from itunes and some are from CD's. Please help!!!!

Ok, I converted all the music in my itunes library to ACC format, then re-synced to ipod. I am still having the same problem with some songs. These cds/music were previously on my computer that had been imported through either real player or windows media player a while back, prior to having itunes.
I have heard that the cds need to be imported through itunes in ACC format. If you don't have the original cds anymore, you can re-burn them to a cd and then import again in itunes. Apparently it can't be music that has been previously put on your computer through real player, etc.
I haven't had time to try this yet so I'm not sure if it works. I will let you know!

After updating to iOS 6.1.5 on my iPod Touch 4th Gen, some of my songs are skipping to the next song after 30 seconds even though the iPod appears to be playing the current song. Some of my songs are mp3 files that have been playing fine for years...
    Anybody else experiencing this issue?
I'm using the latest version of iTunes and i don't have that problem on my PC. The only difference as far as i can tell is the updated iOS & firmware...
    AJ

Yes, other have. If the songs play OK in iTunes on the computer
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • HT201272 For some reason tune purchases have vanished from my computer and ipod, i checked my purchases and it thinks they are on the computer and won't let me redownload them. What do I do?

So i puty my Ipod in to charge a few weeks back and then the next time I went to use it I found a bunch of songs missig so I plugged it back in and found Itunes still listed but when I click on them it says it can't find them. I brought up my purchases on Itunes and it says they are on my computer and downloaded, won't let me re-download. How do I fix it? I really don't want to have to buy them all again or something.  And why is this whiole thing so slow?

Also consider using vlc as the player which can handle a wide range of video formats as well.

  • I am trying to sync my itunes with my ipod, but when I get to step 3 of syncing, it stops. Also, I deleted all the songs on my ipod, and when I go to my music in my ipod the songs are all still there and in a grey color and I'm not able to select them.

Also, I deleted all the songs on my ipod, and when I go to my music in my ipod the songs are all still there and in a grey color and I'm not able to select them. How do I completely clear my ipod music, and how can I solve the syncing problem?

Sync works the same way it always has, connect the device, select the content desired to sync and sync.
All the media should be in iTunes already, iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
If this is a new computer, move the content from the old computer to the new computer.

  • HT1386 I sync all songs, photos and videos between my computer and iPod classic with no problems, but when I get to sync info I get this message: "iTunes cannot sync Calendar and contacts to iPod. Try logging out of Windows adn then logging back in".

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
    As IO said before:
You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the music to your iPod?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Do they play in iTunes on the computer?
Have you successfully synced music form this iTunes library/computer before?

that is odd! that should not be happening.
Are you syncing your songs right off of itunes itself? because it should be syncing over to the ipod however it is listed in itunes.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

What you need to do is connect your phone to iTunes but do not click sync.  Go to File at the top and click transfer purchases from phone, that'll put all your apps into iTunes.  When it's done transferring, locate your phone on the sidebar and click it.  Then find the apps option above the picture of your iphone, you can select which apps you want or don't want on your phone.  After selecting your apps then you can sync.  Once you do this you should never have your problem anymore.
