Songs bought through voucher no longer authorised with iTune 8

Hi,
Amongst the first iTunes songs I bought along the years were some bought by using a voucher offered to me by a friend.
Following an upgrade of my iMac to Leopard 10.5.5 and getting iTune 8.0.1 I've had to resync my iPod.
Since then I have 41 song that I cannot listen to anymore neither on the Mac nor on the iPod.
I have authorised my computer on my account [email protected] but these 41 songs seemed to be registered to my friend's email address [email protected] (that's what it says on the info tab of the song)
I still have the Certificate Code my friend had offered me to prove this is a genuine one.
Can you help me in getting these songs back?
many thanks
Philippe

Hi,
I've been searching the internet and people are talking about updating BIOS to play Skyrim. It's worth a try. Please go to this site to (a) Select your machine (b) Pick the right Operating system. Download BIOS and apply to your machine. Hope this helps, otherwise please contact HP for help (is machine still under warranty ?).
Regards,
BH

  • Iphone no longer authorised with itunes

After having to restore the iphone and re-install itunes I can no longer sync purchased items. It says music/apps were not purchased for my iphone when they were up until it all crashed! Anybody know how I can match the two up again so I can sync my apps and music??

Have you tried re-authorizing your computer via iTunes with the same iTunes account that you used to purchase these items with?
At the iTunes menu bar, go to Store and select Authorize Computer. If you've already done this, de-authorize your computer first followed by re-authorizing it.

    Hello swethachavali,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Make sure that you are authorizing your computer with the same Apple ID that you used to purchase those apps.  Please review the following article for more information:

My ipod nano will no longer sync with itunes since i purchased an iphone 4s and synced the phone with itunes.  When I plug my ipod into my imac, it does not even read or recognize my ipod.  What do i do?

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable?  Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?

  • With the latest IOS 7.0.3 for my iPhone, it no longer syncs with iTunes. I've run the diagnostics for syncing and it says everything is working, which it clearly isn't. Is there anything to be done without restoring iPhone? Thanks

update : so after reading numerous posts, I tried unchecking entire playlist and just tried one of my playlists. That sync seemed to work, so I rechecked entire playlist and did the sync. It worked. Then I went in to my "walk to work" playlist and added some songs to see if it would sync now, and it did!!! so happy now. will see what happens tomorrow.

  • IPhone 4S (iOS 6) no longer syncing with iTunes

Hi, this is my first post on Apple Support. I have several questions that I hope someone will be able to answer. Some regarding my iPhone, and some regarding my MBP.
For starters, my iPhone 4S is running on iOS 6, and no longer syncs with iTunes. I am no longer able to add new music, I can only manage my photos through iPhoto. I updated to iOS 6 while at the Apple store and was told that everything transferred to my iPhone would now go through iCloud, which I wasn't too happy about. I thought that my phone was no longer syncing because of iCloud, and therefore deleted my iCould account (which didn't have anything important on it anyway), but that did not fix the problem. Rather than syncing, iTunes asks me to restore my phone back to factory settings. I considered doing that, but I don't have a back up on my MBP, so that is out of the question. Also, before restoring, iTunes does not give me the option to back up, which I thought it would.
I would like to know how to make it so that my phone syncs with iTunes again so that I can manage my music etc. Does it have to do with iOS 6, iCloud, my MBP, or what? Is my iCloud still in the picture, even though I have deleted my account? If so, how do I disable it completely?
Second question. On a different, older MBP (not mine, and probably running on old software), I burned a Maxell DVD-R containing just under 4GB of music. However, when I insert the disc in my MBP (running on 10.6.8), the disc reads as blank. I tried restarting with the disc in, as well as ejecting and inserting it several times, but nothing is doing the trick. I'm not sure if it's the brand, my MBP's optical drive, or the fact that it was burned on a computer that is running on earlier software than mine. I've read around on the internet with no luck. I have received two pop-ups, one that says it's blank and another that says it is not readable by my computer. Why?
I've been a long time user of Apple, and rarely have any complaints, but my iPhone is really quite screwed up. The DVD-R issue is not a big deal, but I rely on my iPhone extremely (as most do), and not being able to manage it through iTunes is such a pain. I really hope someone can help!

Wow. I never got back to this, I apologize. Today I started searching around online again randomly for a solution on Apple support. The message I am getting is "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone. Go to the Summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings." I've tried many different things both on my computer and my iPhone such as reseting networks, changing the cellular data options, restarting my modem and restarting the wifi on my computer. None of it seems to work. Even if anything were to work temporarily until iTunes 11, I would love that, but I can't seem to find a temporary fix.

  • My 2nd gen IPOD touch will no longer sync with itunes.

My 2nd gen IPOD touch will no longer sync with itunes.  it tells me it cannot read the contents of the ipod then it says the ipod software server cannot be contacted.  Any suggestions?

    Update Server
    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem
    Then try restoring again.

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.
    $19.99 - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

  • My first gen ipod mini does no longer sync with itunes 11.0. It says "cannot write or read". Ist this the end?

My first gen ipod mini (that I use in my car) does no longer sync with itunes 11.0. It basically says "cannot write or read". Is this the "end of life" of that ipod?

You mean you can't get to the Summary pane?
If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

My iPod Touch Gen 5 will no longer synch with iTunes on my computer.  Only change since this happened is update to iPod to OS 8.1.1  iPod synch remains stuck in "Step 8 of 8"

On your computer go to the control panel (hover in the lower right corner) then programs, add/remove programs
Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Service, Apple Application Support then go to apple.com and redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.
You won't lose any content, you're not deleting that, just the programs that access them.
What is thought to happen is that sometimes a new version of itunes doesn't update the drivers in those other two programs. The only way to update the drivers is to force it by uninstalling the programs which allows itunes to write the correct ones.
My iPad and iPod did exactly the same thing and this is how I fixed it.

  • No longer syncing with itunes

My Iphone 5 will no longer sync with itunes. Itunes sees my phone and will show the music and apps on the phone, but when I sync it, it stops on Backing Up and wont go any further. The last time it synced I was trying to load some mp3 files on the phone by coping them to the Add Automaticly folder. The mp3s show up, but they are greyed out and I can not play them. Any help would be awesome, I have updated my phone to 702 and using the current itunes as well.

  • Ipod 30gb no longer syncing with itunes 8.0.1.11

I have a 30gb ipod video that is no longer syncing with itunes (8.0.1.11).
I had about 10gb of music on my iPod previously, when I hooked it up to iTunes to add more music to it, it deleted everything on my iPod and only synced about 500mb of new music. I've tried restoring my iPod as well as restarting my computer & iTunes and have had no luck adding any music to it.
I've scoured the iTune site for help as well as googled my issues and nothing has popped up.

It was a precursor to my G4 HD going south. Had to rebuild from scratch and it's fine.
