Songs didn't load properly into itunes; each song is an album

I moved several albums of songs into itunes, but some of the albums didn't load properly, with each individual song going into itunes as an album itself. I went into the info for each song and found that the album name is correct, and the same for each song, yet they don't load under one album. Is there some way to get each song into its album besides just changing the album name? Is there some other setting in those songs that needs to be changed?

If you right click on them and select Get Info and go to the Info tab are they shows part of a complilation/different tracks of one album?

In iTunes 11 uncheck the preferences setting in in the iTunes Preferences panel "Advanced > Copy Files to iTunes Media folder when adding to Library"

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Loading Movie into Itunes?

Ok, so I understand that I may have to convert the movies once I have them on Itunes in order for them to play on my 80GB Classic but the problem I'm having is actually getting the movie on to Itunes. I have the movie in my computer but have no idea how to load it into Itunes...where do I go, what do I do? Please Help.

I have video footage taken on a digital camera which I would like to put on my ipod. It's currently in 'My Pictures' section of my laptop. Would it already be in MPEG4 format or do i have to do something to convert it so I can put it on my ipod. This is footage I have taken myself so no issues with copyright.

  • How do I get multiple disc music CD's to load properly into my iCloud?

Here is the scenario:   I have several "Greatest Hits" CD's in my personal library that I am attempting to load into iTunes/iCloud.  These CD's comprise two discs.   I loaded these originally on my old PC.....before I signed up for my "cloud".   Yesterday I noticed on my iPad that only one of the CD's is showing up.  So, I loaded the second one  via my new MacBook Pro.   It already had the first CD showing which matched the iPad.  The result,  the Pro now only has the second CD, and the iPad only has the first CD.   I of course want both on both devices.  I checked another "set" by another artist, and found the same scenario.  How can I get ALL of the songs to show up on all of my devices from both CD's?  BTW, I turned off ITunes Match on both devices and restarted it on both devices....the results are after I did that.

Thanks for the help, but I do have the latest version installed. 11.0.4.   The computer I am working on is brand new, and I verified the version just to be sure.   So, the fix apparently did not resolve the problem.   I guess I will just have to wait....

  • Cannot load music into iTunes

I am having a problem loading some of my music into iTunes. I choose the folder (or even just the file) and have it load. It shows the bar analyzing files and it goes through all of the files, but then nothing happens and the music is not loaded or only a couple songs off the album are loaded. I have had thees same albums loaded on iTunes before and nothing has changed with my system or the file format since then. I had to delete them off of iTunes and try to re-add them because I did something with the id tags that messed up the info. The file format is mp3 and the files are perfectly normal (I can play them on other media players). Anyone know what is up?

  • Loading CDs into itunes

Does anyone have a problem loading, meaning that a CD just stalls and stalls.... and stalls.... then it won't eject and I have to restart to get it out?
I also have a problem sometimes with a CD that churns and churns and then I have the last song on the CD actually IN itunes but it's durations (in minutes) is triple digits???

I'm having a similar problem. With a number of regular store bought music CDs that I have tried to play with and rip into iTunes, the CD has "stalled", I guess - basically the program freezes, and then the only way that I can stop iTunes is by Force Quitting. The specific behavior of the CD drive is that it will speed up and apparently scan the CD for approximately 3 seconds and then slow down (maybe stop) for about 2 seconds, and repeat this in cycles apparently endlessly unless I Force Quit or shut down. When I use Force Quit, it indicates that iTunes is not responding. A few times that it's done this I've let it go for 10 or 12 minutes and it just continues to stall with no change. I've tried pressing the computer eject button and holding it, pausing, skipping tracks, and using a "Skip Doctor" CD repair tool to fix the CDs that I've had the problem with - nothing has worked. 2 or 3 I've hit all kinds of buttons trying to get a response, and I've come back to the computer 5 or 10 minutes later and the CD has finally paused or ejected. What has me so perplexed about this issue is that (a) I take very good care of my CDs for the most part, and (b) this is a brand new MacBook Pro, which I've also taken good care of. My mother's '98 Pontiac minivan was playing these CDs fine last summer. They played fine in my Dell that I got in 2000. I recall that these places on the CDs that it's stalling at are places where I've heard the CD skip in the past, but I've never had this problem with the CD stalling and causing the device that's playing it to become unresponsive. I can't think of anything that I've done to the CD drive or any other part of the computer that would have caused this. Please let me know what you think I might try to resolve this. Thanks.

  • Loading music into itunes

I DO NOT want iTunes to make any decisions for me!! I have all my music organized in 1 folder (ie, each folder within this represents 1 album) and I want to import these into iTunes as is (ie, each folder/album named as I have named it), without iTunes looking up and changing any information. Please, how do I do this?

    Ungulate,
Double-check that both of the mentioned options are not checked.
Find a folder of new song files that you want to add to iTunes, and make sure that you know its location.
Use the iTunes command File > Add Folder to Library, and when the dialog comes up, point it to the folder containing the songs.
You should end up with an iTunes library entry for each song, and the song files themselves sitting exactly where they started.
Pls try this and report back.
The only exception where this will not work is if your files start in WMA format, in which case iTunes will automatically convert them and put them converted versions where it pleases.  But if you are starting with MP3s, this procedure will work.

  • Just got a nano. Wanted to take all my music from my computer that I had even before I had Itunes not all were bought from itunes.  I loaded them into itunes and all of them won't transfer to nano only the ones that I brought from itunes. why not all?

I just purchased a Nano.  I have a ton of music that I on my computer from before I had a nano and had a mp3 player.  I never had a problem transferring that music before.  So I didn't purchase them from Itunes.  Now that I have a Nano I want to put all those songs on my nano.  I also have a iphone that I did buy some songs so those will transfer on my nano.  All of my music shows up in itunes but won't transfer to my nano. grrrr.  Any thoughts?

To confirm, al songs are already in your iTunes library of current computer, and they all play using iTunes (on the computer)?
And you are saying all the songs you purchased from the iTunes Store can be synced to the nano without any problems?  But NONE of the other songs (that are NOT from the iTunes Store) can be synced to the nano, or SOME of them?

  • Help Loading CDs into Itunes 11

I recently upgraded Itunes to 11 and lost a portion of my library.  I am reloading the CDs and have hit a snag.  I can only load 1 CD then it will not load any more.  I have closed and reopened Itunes without luck.  I reboot and I can get 1 CD in but that is it.  I can see the CD on My Computer and play it through there but can't get Itunes to download after one.
    Any hints?
    Thanks

  • Trouble loading movies into iTunes

I recently aquired several movies as files on my computer (I assure you this is legal) However, when I try to load these movies onto iTunes, namely V for Vendetta and Advent Children, it simply refuses to do so. These movies are in the same format as several other files I have sucessfully uploaded, and there is room on it for them.
    How can I fix this

I had the same problem and now I use iVI to import my video into iTunes. You just drag your videos onto it and it converts them and puts them into iTunes for you. It's worked great. Hope it helps.

  • Music won't transfer properly into iTunes

    Hi,
everytime I import my music into iTunes some information is missing like album name, album cover, title number, interprets ....
My music is shown with every information in windows and windows media player, but when I try to import it into iTunes those are missing, even after reinstalling iTunes, reediting my music and reimporting.
Sorry for my english, I'm not a native speaker.

Try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists choose no and it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7
