Songs disapeared from music on phone

My phone wont sync songs from my computer and today almost all my songs stops appearing as being ready to play-I dont use match-not sure what happened byt appears all my music went into the cloud-I still cannot sync anything either

For iTunes purchased music you might be able to re-download it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes. For music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) then unless you had subscribed to iTunes Match and uploaded it to it from your computer then no, it won't be stored anywhere

N95 8GB - Over 900 songs disappeared from Music Pl...

Last night all my songs disappeared from Music Player. They still show up in Menu/Tools/File mgr./E:/Sound Clips/Digital Sounds but I can't get them back into Music Player.
I've tried Refresh and still nothing, "Refresh Complete, 0 Songs Added". I've even tried re-booting the device and still nothing.
How do I get this sorted?

Thanks, I find that works ok but it only seems to be a temporary fix. I've done that in the past as well but I find that those files seem to come back and need to be deleted again.

Importing song ratings from Music Match.

I am new to iTunes.
I am trying to switch from Music Match to iTunes in preparation for buying my 1st iPod (Nano). It seems that my song ratings from MMJB do not transfer into iTunes. Should these ratings transfer and I am just doing something wrong?
If not, any suggestions on how to best accomplish this task? I am thinking grouping songs by rating in MMJB, either in playlists or by moving each rating to a different folder on disk; then importing into iTunes songs of each rating separately. Hopefully in iTunes there is a way to rate a group of songs all together, rather than having to mark each one individually.

The playlist idea is probably the best one. Export your playlists (5 of them, one for each rating), import them, select all the playlist contents in iTunes, right click the selection, set the rating to whatever.

Song starts from begginning after phone call

Hi there, I have 2 annoying problems with my built-in music app. The first: I can't manage on turning the music on using only the button on my headphones. I should say that I'm not using the sony headphones. Is this can probably be the reason for that? Or can I use any headphones with a mic? I should also say that it happens only when I'm not using the player for a long period of time. Is this the reason? The second: After trying to turn-on the music using the button on my headphones I hear a little 'beep' that probably indicates that the operation wasn't successful. If I turn on the player manualy, I often have to face a situation that the track I'm listening to starts from the begginnig in case of making a random phon-call as I listen to the music.Do you have any idea why does it happend? Could you help pls? Thank you!

Thats what hapens with it, if not I'd suggest a re-install of belle using Nokia Suite, before you do that a Battery out reset may be worth doing, hold power button untill you feel 3 vibrations.
Thanks for the tips, but it didn't work. I do not have Car Mode and I re-installed Bell/reset factory settings a couple of times (for different reasons, this is not my only problem with Belle). This behavior started immediately after "upgrading" (if we can call it an upgrade) to Belle - I have not seen this when using Anna.
During hours of re-installing and testing, I found other instances when the music player starts by itself: whenever I press or long-press the Menu Key, and when I press the Power Key. Unbelievable!
Some good news: running Skype prevents the system to automatically open the music player. Apparently Skype takes over the audio and does not let the OS behave irresponsibly. If you could only install Skype for Belle... (ha, ha - you have to hack it, it is not available at Nokia store; see my Skype posts).
It is unfortunate that users should waste so much time trying to debug basic functionality. Many of us would be happy to just go back to the previous version (if Nokia provided it) and not be forced to use an untested one.

All my songs disapeared from ipod while updating, HELP??

i was updating my ipod and had it connected to the computer when i accidentaly pulled the cable away from the computer and now all the songs i had previously in my ipod disaperaed and i dont know how to get them back?? (when this happened the ipod was saying that dont take it loose/undone it from the computer) would someone be so kind and help me with this problem?? i would really appreciate it a lot. thanks.

Why would you repurchase songs simply because they will not sync? Sorry, that's beyond illogical, it's simply not smart.

How can I transfer music from one Windows Phone to...

I have a Nokia Lumia 1020. I dropped it and cracked the screen so I was sent a replacement device. I was able to transfer everything from my old phone to the new one, except for the hundreds of songs I have downloaded over the last several months. When I try to transfer the files through my computer, I get an error about some kind of digital license rights.
What do I do?

if you purchased them through xbox music, or nokia music, go back to that product and try to redownload from that application on your new device.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use this to put everything back.

I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network. For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network. All my songs and pictures are not transferring from my old phone !!!!!!

I had the iphone 4S and yesterday I went and got the iphone 5. I am trying to transfer everything using my icloud. All my apps,notes,txt msgs,contacts... everything like that was added onto my new phone. My pictures & music however, are still all adding, it has been loading since last night, this morning I noticed that it has stopped loading on this one song, and this one picture ( I have ALOT of pictures & music) so when I go into my photo app is says " downloading 2,027 of 2,984 " and it hasnt changed for hours!!! Same with my music I go into itunes and it says I have 26 songs left to download and they are not loading, they all say " waiting..." below them!!!
What should I do ? ..or will it EVENTUALLY load. I must have enough space on this new phone because I did on my old one....and I have deleted quite a few apps that were added from my old phone to my new one.

Local songs on your iPhone will not be uploaded to iCloud, you will need to transfer that song into your iTunes Library on your computer and upload it to the iCloud from there. When you subscribe to iTunes Match from an iOS device, your local tracks will not be matched or uploaded to iCloud. You will need to sign in with your Apple ID from a computer in order to match and upload your local music library.

I cannot get my music from ON THIS PHONE to my music library. There is a dotted circle next to most of the songs, but I cannot do anything to or with them. How do I get this music to my library? The songs show in iTunes under ON THIS iPHONE, but they are not coming up on my iPhone or library.

Songs Lost From Phone When Syncing

I recently purchased 18 songs directly from my iPhone. I tried to transfer these songs to my computer but they were no longer on my phone. They just disappeared.
I've checked the FAQ's for lost songs and tried all the suggestions, but nothing has solved my problem.
I have also received and paid the bill for all the missing songs.

Here is what happened:
My computer refused to let me buy the Beatle Boxed set for reason unknown as i usualy do not have any problem paying for anything on itunes, i supposed it was related to the heavy traffic apple was experiencing at this time of year. A few hours later while having my iPad at hand i decided to try again, this time successfully, the songs (200+) downloaded alright. I was able to play any of them the following day. Then i decided to transfer them back to the computer using the transfer my purchase menu.
I realised almost immediately something was wrong as iTunes reported only 105 songs being transfered. Afterwards the iPad synched which resulted in the files being deleted from the device. I checked both the library and harddrive, the files are really missing there is nothing.
I checked the tranfer purchase several times to no avail. So far the song are considered MIA...
As far as i know the song disapeared after the billing, since there was a day between the time i bought it on the iPad and the time i transfered them on the computer.
I contacted iTunes i hope to be able to download again the whole thing.

In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.
