Songs don't show up on my iPad after applying them from iTunes. Help?
I plug my iPad 2 into the computer and iTunes automatically comes up. When I go to apply a new playlist from iTunes to my iPad, it looks like it finishes loading and then it shows that I should have 181 songs on my iPad but i only see that I 31 songs. What should I do? or What is going on? I haven't changed any settings on either my iPad nor my computer.

Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Some songs don't show up on the playlist after syncing
All of the songs on the playlist show up on my iPhone. But they just aren't in the playlists. It seems like it's the older songs I had before I transfered everything onto my new computer that are getting left off. All the songs are checked and play fine on the computer.
This isn't foolproof but there are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name (as mentioned above) in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances but the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous in place of a title. Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Compilations are stored in a separate folder in iTunes so the songs don't appear inside the normal Artist>Album folder which may be why this happens. -

I have an 80GB iPod classic. I have all my songs in iTunes, and I have manually synced them to my iPod. When I view my iPod through iTunes, I can see all the songs and play them. However, when I look on my iPod directly, some songs don't show up when I browse by Artist, Song, etc.
The only way to play them on my iPod is to add them to a Playlist, and then they are accessible. However, if I want to listen to Eminem, for instance, I want to just browse to it in the Artist area.
The songs do have all of the appropriate info, and I have tried Restore and still nothing. These songs used to show up on my old, original iPod, so I am for a complete loss. Ipod on Xbox 360, some songs don't show up
I recently bought an Xbox 360, I have been using my Ipod to listen to music but some songs don't show up in Xbox playlist, particularly the music I have bought and downloaded from Itunes music store, Is it some kind of protected format, what can I do to fix it, any help would be great, thanks

I have songs on my iPhone 6 that I can't remove and when I plug into iTunes and go to "Summary" and "On This Device" the songs don't show up but they are on my phone. How do I remove them? Not even sure how they got on actually since I have a iTouch and keep all my music there. HELP!!
Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete. -
Songs don't show up in artist menu, but show up in playlists
Well recently I've had a problem where songs I've added (from a program that takes songs off internet radio) do not show up when I go to the Artists menu and click on an artist. However, they do show up in my Recently Added playlist. Can anyone give me some help on this? Thanks if you can.

Once you add a second album name for that artist even for a single song, ALL the rest of the songs should now show up under that artist, even those without album names. -
Some of my songs are listed twice on my iPod itself. However, when I plug the iPod into my computer, the songs don't show up twice in iTunes when I click on device/music. How do I get rid of the duplicate songs on my iPod?

Are you syncing your songs right off of itunes itself? because it should be syncing over to the ipod however it is listed in itunes. -
I purchased iCould recently, but all my songs don't show up. I updated iTunes Match and turned it on, but they're not there.
I still cannot see all the music; some I downloaded and some I purchased. For example, I downloaded two CDs by The Band Perry; one is on iTunes and one isn't. I purchased iTunes Match before I changed computers so I could transfer it all to my new machine without have to load CDs again. I also purchased some songs that are no longer there.
I looked at the article you referenced and have completed all the recommended steps. I have authorized this computer and updated iTunes match. Is there any way to recover the music I downloaded, as well as purchases I made? (I purchased Viva la Vida by Coldplay and it's not on my iTunes. There may be others, but I haven't noticed any others specifically.)

When copying songs to my itunes some of the songs don't show up in the library. I can see that they are being downloaded/copied to my itunes, but I cannot locate them in my library?
Do you have a Recently Added playlist? Can you see them there?

iTunes Match will not show on phone or ipad I have switched on iTunes Match on , On both units. PC is saying albums are in the cloud ?

Thank you for asking your question! It sounds like iTunes Match playlists are not syncing correctly to your iPad, even though you have already toggled iTunes Match off then on again. I would next turn iTunes Match back off, then close all the apps on the iPad:

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App stores, and restart the phone then try turning on iTunes Match again to test the issue:

I purchased the remainder of shows (I already of 5 of them) for a TV series now it says they can't be played on my ipod, and I purchased them from Itunes? I don't understand why they won't work? I tried the conversion but it's greyed out and not chooseable. But again purchased from itunes so they should work according to the above article. Can anyone help me?

I know you already solved this but for future reference, there is also another setting to only keep songs downloaded to your device visible in music.
Go to Settings --> Music --> Show All Music and make sure it is turned off -

If they were added from your computer, you need to Sync and uncheck them and then sync again...
