Songs half downloaded no help given !

Over a week ago I spent nearly a hundred quid (pounds for the non english) on itunes put synced my ipod and found that all the songs got half way through and then skipped to the next track. The strange thing is that all the songs show their full lenght but don't go past halfway??
Anyway I reported a problem through itunes which was a bizzare experience when I had to individually report every song on about 10 albums !!! After this ridiculous process I got one repose about one single album which sent me the tracks to re-download. Guess what the same thing happened again?? Since then I've heard nothing back. I've sent multiple emails submitting all the reference numbers etc and still nothing.
I have downloaded hundreds of albums over the years and I've never had a problem like this or any other problems come to think of it so this "support" process is new to me. Where do I go from here about getting my money back or getting the tracks sorted all the emails said they would be responded to in 48hrs well its now over a week !!!
any ideas?
cheers

If you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases (see iTunes in the cloud availability) then delete the current copies and download again, otherwise, or if that doesn't help, use the report a problem links in your account history to report a problem.

Since all of your music came from your computer in the first place, then it should still be there and should be included in your backup copy of your computer.
" it told me when i pluged hers in 2 ipods could not use the same account"
This is not true.  You have misunderstood.
You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one one library.

I think this is a more general problem Apple are having at the moment. I have just written in another thread:
"I am having this problem too. There have been quite a few other threads about it. It applies to single tracks too. They appear to download OK, and show as the right file size and length, but stop playing well before the end and iTunes moves on to the next track. Redownloading them helps sometimes but not always.
I have only had this problem for the last week or so. The longer the track the more likely there is to be a problem (perhaps obviously)."
I think it is the tracks themselves rather than iTunes. If you export the problematic track to the Desktop and try playing it with Quicktime it stops in just the same place.

  • HT1725 I downloaded an album from itunes and only half of the songs have downloaded. The rest of the songs keep trying to download and then come up with an error saying they cannot download at this time. I'm not sure what the issue is.

I downloaded an album from itunes and only half of the songs have downloaded. The rest keep trying to download, but I keep getting a message that says, "Song cannot be downloaded at this time. Do you want to retry or be done." Each time I retry, the same thing happens. They will not download. I have restarted my phone and the same problem remains.

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over a number of days.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting it from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

According to iTunes, my song is downloaded, but when I play it it's cut off in the middle.  I cannot download it again.  Help!

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

  • I can not get to the site to get songs purchased & downloaded.Haven't been on iTunes in quite awhile and ended up redownloading iTunes still no help finding my songs.

I can not locate my songs that I downloaded. I even redownloaded the iTunes site and still it did not take me to the site to find my songs. Please, someone help!

So what sync settings do you currently have enabled from under the iPod's Summary and Music tabs?  Any error messages when you try to sync?
To be sure, reset sync warnings. To do this, right->click the iPod under Devices and choose Reset Warnings. Then resync your iPod.

Hello.  I am receiving "error codes" when trying to dowload songs.  It charges me but the songs never download and I have restarted itunes and it does not automatically start downloading as instructed online.  Help?

I don't know exactly what they said b/c they are nolonger on my screen.  It said something to the effect of "incomplete dowload, there was an eror during the dowload of *Song*".
The songs purchased were showing in my purchased list with an "exclamation point" by them, which I believe indicates the download was incomplete.  I restarted iTunes and the songs are no longer on my "Purchased list".
I was still charged after restarting iTunes

  • Some of my songs from I tunes are only half downloaded

some of my songs from I tunes are only half downloaded how can I fix this?

    Hello there, Dinadi67.
It certainly is disconcerting to not have the ability to play the songs you want from your library. The situation your describing is usually when iTunes is not able to find the file for the grayed out song.  I recommend reviewing the following Knowledge Base articles to locate your music files on your computer:
iTunes: Finding lost media and downloads

Where are my iTunes files located?
