Songs I deleted are suddenly back again.

A long time ago (I mean three or four years ago) I deleted a lot of songs from my parent's computer when I moved out. I did more than just remove them from the Itunes library: I had gone into the users menu, under music, and carefully deleted each specific folder or song.
Now, after several years I have come to find that the music is mysteriously back again. The only major thing I have done is update their computer to Snow Leopard.
Why is the music back? I would like to know before I spend more time deleting music that will inevitably raise from the dead.

I'm having the same problem. It seems like rebooting the phone can help to some degree. But I have a lot of albums where it shows duplicates for every song. If I delete the whole album and redownload it, it seems to work. But deleting one of the two songs leaves just one bogus copy behind, which isn't actually on the device.
I would try first rebooting your phone. Then if the 'dead' tracks are still there, delete the albums and see if it prompts you to download them again.
I must say, iTunes Match has been a buggy mess for me from the start. I hoped iOS 8 would fix it. Being able to delete albums helps, but I feel like I spend more time trying to manage my music than listening to it. Once my year is up, I think I'll just go back to syncing a playlist, old-school though that may be.

Garbled (skipping) songs on iPod and iTunes back again after upgrade

I orginally posted about this back in September. Some of my songs all of a sudden became garbled or were skipping on both my iPod and in iTunes. The CD's don't skip. At that time a new version on iTunes was available and some iPod genious in this forum asked me to upgrade. Once I upgraded to the latest version it fixed the problem. All my songs went back to normal. BUT SINCE THEN, a new version on iTunes came out again. When I upgarded, the garbled songs and skipping came back. I'm figuring that this is an iTunes problem since upgrading to new versions made the problem go away and come back.
Has anyone found a solution to this? Can someone help me?

I'm having problems with mine as well. Mine studders through songs every so often. I haven't found an answer to that yet.

Deleted and added back again

I removed from my contacts someone to check if that someone was blocking me(because that person was offline for few days), and then i added person back. Everything is the same as it was before deleting( i can see picture and info and chat history), but i cant see the last time that person logged in. Does it mean that someone will receive friend request from me and Was this person blocking me

Are you saying it's not getting any email from AFTER 1/20/14, or are you saying you're only seeing mail FROM 1/20/14 to now?

I have an android phone. If I read a message on my phone, it still shows up on my desktop.
One of the problems with deleting messages is that I when I delete messages from the main Inbox (the Inbox that includes all incoming messages from all accounts), some of those messages stay in the Inbox for the individual account as unread. A typical scenario is that after reading all of my new email and deleting messages, I notice that Mail shows that I still have unread mail. So I go to the Inbox for an individual email account, and there are a bunch messages that I deleted (sometimes half, sometimes all of what I deleted) that are in the Inbox of the individual account and show as unread. Then when I go back to the main Inbox, and all of the messages that I deleted are suddenly back in the that Inbox. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to which messages get stuck. Sometimes the messages go away on their own. Sometimes they won't ever go away. I delete them from the main Inbox; they come back. I delete them from the individual account Inbox; they come back. I go to the Trash, delete them before they've gone back the the Inboxes, and they come back. The only way I can get rid of these zombie messages is to access the account through a browser and delete those messages online.
Another problem I have, is that Mail is constantly asking me to re-enter the password for one of my email accounts. Fortunately, it's an account I use less frequently, but it's a real problem when I Mail asks me to re-setup up an account every time I open Mail.
The problem has doubled or tripled the time it takes for me to keep track of my email. I'm going through reviews and looking for a replacement for Mail. I will be the first time I've used something besides Mail since I used Eudora (during the time when it was the best program available and you had to buy it).

The songs I bought are not in the file of the songs I bought.

I bought more or less 80 songs but now in the file where are the songs I bought there are only 18 songs (the latest I bought) and the songs I bought before these I can't download them. The first problem I had was that there were all the songs in the iTunes that I bought but there were twice, so I deleted one of the both, and now these songs I deleted are not in the file of the songs I bought. How can I repair that? I'm really nervous.

Sign out of the iTunes Store, Sign in again. You should be able to download your past purchases from iTunes Store > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer. Alternatively look in the recycle bin for the files that have been deleted, then drag & drop these into ..\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes.

Perhaps the copyright holders chose to remove them. What album were you after?

Why is it that after I delete my e-mails the next time I log on they are all back? Sometimes as many as the last fourty or fifty show up again.

This has only occurred since the last update. I delete my e-mails. The next time I log on all the e-mails I had deleted the last time are all back in the inbox. I then have to delete them all a second time before they are gone for good. This is very annoying since it can often be as many as fifty or sixty e-mails at a time. How can I fix this?

Are you talking about the Inbox?
deleted emails can reappear where a folder may have some corruption. This is usually due to keeping too many emails in the Inbox and not compacting on a regular basis.
Make a copy of any emails in that folder which you do not want to lose; perhaps store them in Local Folders.
then delete the emails.
then compact the folder. - right click on folder and select 'Compact'.
If you lost any emails due to compacting, then do not worry because you saved a copy of the ones you wanted to keep in Local folders, so you can move them back.
Select the 'Deleted' folder, right click on folder and choose to 'Empty Deleted'.
then right click on Deleted folder and select 'Compact'.
Emails should now be deleted.
Note: the Inbox should be used as an Inbox and not a general storage.

When I recorded a vocal track 3 hours ago, it recorded perfectly. The syncing was perfectly in time with the rest of the song. I just came back to start working on it again, and it's completely off beat. What gives?

Also, I'd forgotten about this problem until just now, when I extend a loop (for instance, to play 2x instead of just one) it plays a phantom 3rd time. What I mean by this, is there's no track to tell garage band to play it a 3rd time, but it does anyway. If I copy paste the loop, it doesn't do it. I've got no idea what to do with this one. I'd really appreciate a quick response as I'm in the middle of a recording project :/

this may happen, if you accidentally turn on Auto Quantize for the track in the track editor, also "follow tempo and pitch" may cause it. Have you checked the settings?
As to your strange loop: is it a software instrument loop or a real instrument loop you are talking about?
If it is a software instrument loop you can look at it in the track editor and delete any extra beats that are revealed by looping. That sometimes happens if there are long notes at the end of the loop.

I'm finding that songs that I have imported to Itunes are suddenly showing with "Exclamation" marks and Itunes tells me that the original file cannot be found. When I tell it to locate the file, it can't do it.

Maybe you rename it. Somehow the path to the songs have changed if not deleted.
In Finder go to "Macintosh/Users/username/music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music" that's where all your songs located so if those songs are not there you get an exclamation mark. You can delete those entries in iTunes and re-import again.

My ipod all ready had songs on from somewhere (i can not get them back) but i syced my ipod to a different computer and all the songs were deleted ! how do i get them back ? its urgent !

i had 300 odd songs on. i do not have the songs on my laptop. i wanted to add the songs without getting rid of the currnet ones.
without knowing , i just synced my ipod as usuall and my old songs were deleted. is there anyway in the world i could get those songs back ?!

The iPod is not a storage device, all songs should reside on a computer and you can only sync to one machine. However, if these songs were purchased from iTunes you can reload them (see link). If not, and you have no backup, then they are gone.

When I sync with itunes, the photos sections says I am syncing with my iphone, so I assume that anything I physically delete from my iphone should not be showing up again. Right?

Is that really how sync works?
If you read this, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236 and this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314 they don't actually make how sync works very clear. I had thought that syncing my device to itunes would allow I tunes to copy what was currently on my phone so that I could restore that information when needed ie if your phone dies and you need to do a clean install of the iOS system, you always have what is currently on your phone saved in Itunes.

What you seem to be saying is that iTunes saves every contact, message, photo etc and when you click sync, it reuploads things that you deleted? This seems like it should work the opposite. Make a mirror image of my iPhone on my computer, not make a mirror image of my computer onto my iPhone. You delete things for a reason.

I have tow itunes libraries. Music from one library has merged with the other and I can not delete the songs. They keep coming back.

I have two ipod touch libraries under my account. One for my daughter and one for me. I bought my daughter an Iphone and then opened her ipod touch libraryon the computer (Windows Vista). I plugged in her iphone so that she can have the stuff from her ipod touch on her new phone. Somehow her library has partially merged with my library. My ipod touch now has some of HER games and music on it. I went into my library and deleted these games and songs, but they keep coming back. How do I get rid of these once and for all. If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
