Songs I have on iPhone now no longer appear with iTunes Match

I had some albums on both my Mac and my iPhone. Now with Match, the album doesn't appear on my iPhone—even though I manually had uploaded it.
Match also doesn't load up all my music: I have a mere 2,400 songs—and the last 100 songs have been a nightmare. Over 24 hours, and it still hasn't completed uploading them, even though I have high-speed internet.
Furthermore, how come playlists now appear on my iPhone—but there are no tunes in the playlist?
The IDEA of Match is great—but it's not being executed right.
Apple—HELP! Fix these problems—which should never have appeared in the first place.

I have the same problem.  I have over 1500 songs that I added from my CD collections, and another 1000 songs that are downloaded.  The majority of songs have not "matched" - over 1500 show as "waiting" and now I cannot access most of the music from my iphone.  I am so sorry I ever added iCloud!
I tried updating the itunes software last night and the songs all reappeared in the lists under the device.  But then when I left home they no longer appeared on my iphone.  What is wrong with iCloud and how did Apple release this with ths many problems? This service is terrible.

My iPhone 4 no longer appears in iTunes. But it does charge. Tried most tips please help someone!

    Hi there,
No I didn't. Someone suggested in another thread that my iPod was registering as a disk instead of a device, so if I removed my iPod as a disk on Disk Utility then it would reload etc. and show up in iTunes. Which it didn't, and instead just cleared all my music (16,000 songs).
    So frustrating.
Hope if you have the same problem you are able to find a better solution!

update : so after reading numerous posts, I tried unchecking entire playlist and just tried one of my playlists. That sync seemed to work, so I rechecked entire playlist and did the sync. It worked. Then I went in to my "walk to work" playlist and added some songs to see if it would sync now, and it did!!! so happy now. will see what happens tomorrow.

  • IPhone 4S no longer syncs with iTunes

I upgraded all devices to iOS 6 last week (iPhones, iPads,...). I have about 2300 songs on iTunes. I did not accept iTunes Match and deactivated sync to iCloud. When I plug my iPhone on my computer the bottom bar shows about 15 GB of songs and syncs gets going. When it finishes, the 15GB of songs bar goes back to close to zero and I am only left with a few songs and my playlists (about 30 of them) have not transfered to my iPhone. So I am left with a few songs and no playlists on my phone.
    Any thoughts?

Usually re-starting the router and both iPhone and Mac helps. However, I am having this issue now as well ( as of last few days) and cannnot see the iPhone from iTunes...
if you get any luck - please let me know!

  • HT1386 my iPhone will no longer sync with iTunes.  running a pc with win 8/64bit

why won't my iPhone sync with iTunes?  i'm running latest version of iTunes on a PC OS Win 8/64bit?

It's ridiculous how difficult this is.  I've reinstalled iTunes, played with the settings, and it just doesn't work.
It will happily sync my computer library (which has nothing in it) with my phone library (589 songs) thereby (presumably) wiping out the 589 songs.
But I can't get it to sync the other way and copy the iPhone library to the computer.
It also puts new CDs on the computer but not on the phone, where I want them.
Is there anyone at Apple that cares about this abject stupidity in the software?

  • How do I get album art to appear with iTunes Matched song?

I purchased an album from iTunes yesterday. I was already subscribed to iTunes match. One song from the album that I purchased has no album
art associated with it. How do I get the album art to show up? It doesn't appear on both my iPhone or iPad.
    Any suggestions?

First, you have to embbed picture into mp3 file with idtag editors (tagalicious, musicbrainz picard, mp3tag, id3tag editor...).
Then you'll have to install at least Itunes 10.5.1(42), even if you're not using Itunes at all.
Albumarts will now appear in every folder from the finder.
I closed my topic because I solved it :

  • Is there any way to have playlists of podcasts on a device with itunes Match?

I use a playlist to organize my podcasts on my iPhone. This enables me to listen to all unplayed episodes without having to keep choosing a new one. However, when I turn iTunes Match on on the phone, the playlist disappears from the phone. The podcasts from the playlist still come over. Additionally, once iTunes Match is on, I also cannot add podcasts to any plylist - new or existing. Does anyone have anyideas on how to resolve this? Or is it something Apple needs to fix in the next iteration of iOS?

You could try using the Custom Geometry extension and see how that works for you. ''I have been having problems with it on WinXP since Firefox 4.0 was released last year, maybe it will work better for you on Windows7.''
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/custom-geometry/
In Options for that extension setup additional Custom Geometry options ''(height, width, left, & top)'' with different offsets, and when you open an additional window use the drop-marker on the CG toolbar button to select the offset you want for that new window.
That drop-marker menu hasn't been working properly on my PC, but I use still use CG when running multiple Profiles - each with a different offset, so that I have access at the edge of the current window to "grab" another Profile when I want.

  • IPhone 3G (PAYG) now no longer appears in iTunes after attempt at upgrade

I did the correct procedure for upgrading to 3 (latest OS, latest iTunes) and it downloaded okay but then stalled on the back up stage. The G5 invited me to unplug and plug iPhone back in but that did not work. I have since tried repeated unplugging and plugging of the phone, switching off and on of the phone and the computer (including a safe boot). I have replaced the iTunes application and its prefs. I have tried different USB sockets and I am wearying and wondering if the thing is broken. I expected server access problems and slow processing but this I did not expect. I can't restore the iPhone. I have even tried launching the new software from within Users/Me/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates/iPhone1,23.0_7A341Restore.ipsw. Totally baffled, the iPhone will not even go into charging mode, though it appears to work otherwise. Help!

  • My iPhone 4s no longer syncs with iTunes over Wi-Fi

Just noticed that when I start iTunes, it no longer sees my iPhone. Recently upgraded to IOS 6. I even went to settings on the iPhone and tryied to sync manually (over Wi-fi) and it said "trying to connect to <computer name>" but it never did.
Any ideas? I connected it with a USB and it synced just fine. I have iCloud backup disabled. I unchecked the re-checked the Sync over wi-fi check box but it still doesn't see my iPhone.
    Thanks

  • My iPhone 4 no longer syncs with iTunes 11 - "your iPhone disconnected"

Since I upgraded, I really struggle to sync my iPhone on my iMac running Mountain Lion (fully up to date) by USB.
It keeps saying that the iPhone disconnected.
I have tried different cables and I have restarted iTunes and the iPhone. It works once or twice after a reboot.
Anything else I can try please?
    Thanks.

One thing that could cause this error message is corrupted data on the iphone or computer. Close itunes and disconnect the iphone.
Now open isync in the applications folder.
Once isync is open, open the isync preferences.
Click the button to reset sync history.
Once sync history is reset, quit isync and open itunes.
Open the itunes preferences and go to the syncing tab.
Check the box to disable automatic syncing for all ipods and iphones.
Connect the iphone and go to the info tab.
Go to the bottom of the info tab and check the box to replace all contact data on the iphone with what is in the computer.
Now click apply on the bottom right corner of itunes. If this does not work, open address book and create a new group.
Add 5 - 10 contacts to that group.
Now go into itunes with the iphone connected and set the iphone to only sync to that particular group.
if the iphone syncs ok, add some more contacts and sync again.
If the iphone does not sync, remove some of the contacts and sync again.
Keep going through this process until you narrow down which contacts are causing the problem. Hope this helps.

  • Iphone 4s no longer appears on itunes

After uninstalling and reinstalling itunes several times in the past week my iphone still does not show up. I connected my ipod 4 and it shows up.  I know when I first got it, it showed up but now it doesn't at all. Also, I keep having to go to different outlets in my house to recharge it.  I am wondering if it's the phone itself.  Any ideas?  I've only had this phone for about two months.  Thanks.

Thanks but I wasn't asking if WiFi is working but rather if you have tried synching with WiFi. We are trying to narrow down if it is a problem with the connection or iPhone.
First start by restarting the iPhone. Simultaneously press and hold the Home and Power buttons. Release the buttons after you see the Apple logo but not before.. This will take 10-15 seconds so be patient. After the iPhone starts, try synching again.
If that doesn't work, try the troubleshooting steps here, especially the WiFi section to see if that works: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1296

  • My iphone 4 no longer syncs with itunes after restoring it from a backup (it was fine before)?? Can anyone help?

Hi, just to clarify - I have iOS 7.1.2 on my IPhone (as thats the latest it will support)... My iMac has iTunes 11.4. This combination of device and software has been working fine until a few weeks ago when I had to restore my Computer and Phone from a recent backup. I'm not sure if it was just coincidence, but the next time I plugged my iPhone in to sync the "sync" button on the lower right of the screen has refused to be "clickable" and now, no matter what I try, I cannot find a way of syncing my iPhone It's been four weeks now and I'm worried about the new contacts etc getting lost should anything happen. Please can someone guide me through some options? Thanks.
