Transfer Purchases
Open iTunes and sign in, authorize computer, plug in iDevice.

Have tried to follow the transfer instructions but it does not seem to work.
Everytime I choose to restore a backup when I set up / activate the new iphone, it fails after some 10-12 seconds with the message that it could not restore because an error occurred.
It says nothing else about what the error is and I have to start the set up / activation all over.
So how so I solve this?
Other 'answers' says how to transfer, but it does not work for me and the answers I have found does not address this issue.Search the error code in the support search and you should find something that will walk you through it, but without an error code it's a little hard to know what you're talking about

Several of my authorized pc laptops and desktops have completely died over the years, and have no way to deauthorize iTunes on them. Now I am unable to synch purchases on my Iphone to new computer with iTunes because I already have 5 computers authorized. What can be done?
Deauthorise all to reset to zero, then authorize again.
Following quote from Apple Support:
If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

I purchased a song a few days ago and downloaded the whole song and the song will not play all the way through it only plays 23 seconds. How do I fix this problem?
Thanks for this post. It corrected my similar issue. Note that you need to exit from/re-enter iTunes after deleting the song from your Purchased list.

When I tried downloading the new 4.2.8 software on my iphone, it froze the phone and itunes on my computer, how do I fix this???? I have tried resetting the phone and exiting itunes, and now my phone screen keeps telling me to connect to itunes( which it already is) and itunes says "waiting for iphone"!

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

I have tried to restore my old iPhone 3, but when i tried the itunes logo and a pic of a USB cable have come up on my phone and now i cant do anything with my phone.Any ideas how i can fix this? I have an iPhone and when I got it, I had a Toshiba laptop. Now I have a MacBook Pro, but when I try to wi-fi sync my iphone and new computer, it doesn't work because on my iphone it is still trying to sync with my old computer. How I can fix this?
Move the content from the old computer to the new computer.
Sync the iPhone via cable to the new computer and enable Wi-Fi syncing.
It should now be possible to sync via Wi-Fi to the new computer. -
I try and buy in app purchases but it won't let me and gives me the above error message: "iTunes password and account is not synced with the email address"! How can I fix this?
Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

There's probably nothing you can to do fix this, since you purchased the movie yourself and there's no way to send it as a gift now other than re-purchasing it. You can, however, contact the iTunes Store, explain the mistake, and ask if there's anything they can do for you:

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this did not work, and to rule out a software issue, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

If still no luck, this might be a hardware problem and the phone has to be checked by an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple:
