Songs lost with Vista . . .HELP!!
Okay, so I reluctantly and stupidly "upgraded" to Vista. After 3 hours on the phone with Gateway support I got iTunes, and many other programs, working. However, iTunes now only contains songs that I had on my computer before loading iTunes. Everything I have ripped or bought since installing iTunes is gone. I got some pop up somewhere along the way saying that I didn't have permission to load something, but that's it. I am missing hundreds, maybe thousands, of songs!! They have to be SOMEWHERE!
Any help would be VERY much appreciated! I can't be the only one to whom this has happened. God, I wish I would have bought a Mac! Thanks in advance to anyone with ideas!!

I have a computer with Vista and a Zire72. I don't have the disk that came with it, and have tried to download the software from the website. Cannot transfer videos from iPhone 4s to PC with Vista--HELP!!
Have valuable videos of my Dad (his health is declining rapidly) on my iPhone 4s. I want to download them to my PC, which uses Vista. This has been incredibly difficult. I used the most updated version of QuickTime, with no luck. The videos will transfer, but I cannot open them. Would purchasing QuickTime Pro help, or is this a waste of money? I have so many videos on my phone that I can't back it up. Need to transfer them ASAP.

I know how important these are to you and will do my best to help. The first question I have is how are you importing these videos? Any error messages received when attempting to play these videos? Video importing does require Quicktime 7.6.2 or later. Below, I have listed the article on how to import your photos. When I subscribed to iTunes Match I lost all my songs. I did a back up of my ITunes Library to iCloud but I can't find the songs! Can someone help me?
I guess the iTunes store is not recognizing your computer. Did you de-authorise your computer after you uploaded to iTunes Match. Did you register your new computer with a different User ID? Do you have Genius turned on (which needs to be on as it works in conjunction with iTunes Match. Did you authorise your new computer?
You paid for ITunes match & uploaded your songs using a different computer. So there are obviously one or more steps which need to be taken to download your media from the iCloud. Either someone else with more expertise than I can help you, for example, Limnos Limnos ; or King_Penguin King_Penguin or Chris_CA https://discussions.apple.com/people/Chris%20CA would probably be able to help you better than I.

Help iTunes not working with vista
okay so I'm having a bit of an issue with vista..just got a new laptop (dell inspiron 1520), and I went to transfer my files using a USB stick and also a cd, but iTunes on my new comp doesn't recognize the songs...anyone have ideas?

Okay so i went out and I bought a yamaha 630BL reciever, a digital coaxial s/pdif, and a 3.5mm phono plug to fit perfectly to my XFI Extreme Music
-The audio plays fine and reports as a PCM stream when I play it normally, but I can't get dolby digital or DTS to enable for some reason eventhough I bought the DDL & DTS Connect Pack for $4.72
When I click dolby digital li've in DDL it jumps back up to off and has this [The operation was unsuccessful. Please try again or reinstall the application].

I also have a question on 5. and Vista 64
-When I game I normally use headphones in game mode or 2. with my headphones, the reason for this is if I set it on 5. I get sounds coming out of all of the wrong channels.
Now when I watch movies or listen to music I switch to 5. sound in entertainment mode, but to make this work properly I have to open CMSS-3D. I then change it from xpand to stereo and put the slider at even center for 50%. If I use the default xpand mode the audio is way off coming out of all of the wrong channels.
How do I make 5. render properly on vistaWe ended up getting iTunes cleanly uninstalled and were able to re-install without issue. All is now mostly well.

As it should have been transferred to your computer when you synced, you can contact itunes support and ask for an exception.

I have tried unistalling the current version I had which was 10.6.3, defragging and running a security scan. Now, the highest version I can get is 10.4.1. for some reason I cannot dowload itunes 10.5 or higher as it gives me the same message which is what I need to connect and update my iphone. It's also possible that newer iPhone updates want an OS higher than Tiger. Post the specs of your computer and we can see if an OS upgrade is possible. There are a large number of G4 variants with different capabilities, so giving us something more than just "G4" will get you help faster. -

I purchased a song on iTunes and it shows up in the song list with an exclamation point on the side of it. It says the song could not be found. I have done a search and can't find it but iTunes won't let me download or buy it again. Help!!

HELP! I subscribed to imatch on my mac so that I could access the songs anywhere with my iphone. However since I live in a rural community I would like to make playlists that always stay on my phone in case I don't have service. Not sure how.
I have the same issue. While I am sure your solution would work, my playlist has over 6,000 songs and hiting every song to download it is not very practical. Is there another way?
I am looking to have a subset of my music physically on my phone so that I can play it without internet access, but have access to the entire library when I do have internet access. -

I am not a techie, but looked at online forums and have tried f10 at startup with no change to the screen other than it stops after the first four lines and does not try the floppy drive. I also pulled out the round battery, waited and then reintstalled. Same problem.
Also, computer emits a single, repeating beep after startup.

I saw your post and wanted to comment. I'm not an expert on these types of situations but did some digging around and found the following at Tips4PC.com.... read below
"There are two types of computer black screens that can appear in Windows. One where the computer will not boot up but you have a beep sequence sounding to let you know what the problem could be, and the other has nothing at all. No beeps, no cursor, no logo screen, and no choice to boot to safe mode or access the bios.
If your computer will not boot up and you get a beep sequence, I am not saying it is good news, however it is a step in the right direction towards solving this problem. This is a message from your computer that can be understood by looking up your bios (the brand) beep code. For example you may have an Award Bios, Ami Bios, Phoenix BIOS, Compaq, Dell, or Acer Bios. This list goes on and on. You can search for Bios beep codes in Google. Here is an example of results in Google search"

Also I went into the Troubleshooting Guide for the A6000 and found the following information. You need to use F11 for recovery. See below
Starting System Recovery from system startup

Turn off the computer. If necessary, press and hold the On button until the computer
turns off.

Remove the HP Personal Media Drive if your computer includes one. Disconnect all
peripheral devices from the computer except the monitor, the keyboard, and the
mouse.

Press the On button to turn on the computer.

During the startup, do the following to enter the Recovery Manager program:
When the blue screen with the HP Invent logo appears, press the F11 key on the
keyboard. (You have only a few seconds to press the F11 key before the normal
startup process continues.)

The computer starts the Recovery Manager program; wait for the onscreen instructions
to display, and then follow those instructions.

Complete the computer startup, finish the registration process, and wait until you see
the desktop. Then, turn off the computer, reconnect all peripheral devices, and turn on
the computer.

How did you get your songs onto your iPod Touch?
If purchase directly from iTunes you can download them again.
If your iPod is synced to iTunes on a Windows PC, then, sync your iPod to that computer.
If this is your first Mac, are you migrating from a Windows PC?

JohnYou are getting this message because you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC. You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher. After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using this ID on your PC.
