Songs " not available"

I have some music that is not available in the time section. The songs won't play on my ipod or on my computer. I have deleted them and reinstalled the cds (which have been purchased from a store) and I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. Does any one have any suggestions?

Sorry, I don't understand what this means.
1. Do you mean that you've imported the songs from the CD but under the time column, there is no time shown?
2. Do you have other songs (from other CDs) that do have time shown and do play?
3. Are the CDs (with the non-playing songs) copy protected or is there anything unusual about them?

Help after hard drive change - some songs not available

I had an external hard drive that started to act wonky and wouldn't mount. I was able to get to mount one last time and transfer the contents over to a new hard drive. Now every time I start iTunes there is a message about checking for gapless playback. I believe there are 82 tracks. It goes by rather fast so it is hard to read each and every title. The ones I have read upon checking I find that the songs have no content. They just don't exist. When you go to control I instead of the track showing the length it shows Not Available. Is there anyway to search my hard drive to find out which tracks are having a problem?

Uploaded songs not available on iOS devices.

I have songs in my iTunes library that have an uploaded status. However, they are not available on my iOS devices. iTunes Match is enabled on all devices. Any suggestions?

The most common cause of this issue is that the initial iTunes Match scan, match and upload process has not finished. Make sure it has finished.
If the process has finished, what exactly do you see when you look for these "missing" tracks on the iOS device?

Why are some songs not available in the U.S. iTunes Store?

There is a song called "The Moment I Knew" by Taylor Swift. I want to get it off of the U.S. iTunes Store, but it's only available as a ringtone, not a song. And the weirdest thing is that the song is available in other countries along with the Deluxe Edition of Red, but in the U.S., Taylor Swift usually releases the bonus tracks as singles. I need to know!!!

It is not currently available in the US Store. So, you won't be able to get it via iTunes. You can purchase the Red Deluxe CDs at Target, which has the song on them.

Songs not available on my phone

Need some help - i have about 900 songs in my 'starred' playlist which all appear on both my laptop and phone. However, about 300 of them won't play on my phone. They all play on my laptop and it has been synced and made available offline but these 300 or so just do not play on my phone. Any ideas?

I am having a very similar problem. With my premium account, i am not getting all songs "available offline". for example, very few of my NeedToBreathe songs are available offline. even though i have the artist and all albums set to "available offline", they still will not play for me on my iPhone 6. Some songs are availeble, while most are not.... when im paying to have them all available....

Why are some songs not available for ringtones?

I had a ringtone on my old RAZR phone and loved it. I would like to make it my ringtone on my Iphone. The song is available in Itunes and I saw another post that said some songs even though they don't have a "bell" in the ringtone column can still be made into ringtones. I have the CD, but I downloaded the song anyway and it tells me that song is no longer available for ringtones. How do I go about asking Apple/Itunes to make it available again?

Original songs not available?

I am trying to download a song from AC/DC and Garth Brooks. Thunderstruck and the Thunder rolls. When I type in AC/DC in the search it gives me some band called ac/db and all the songs are there but not sang by the original band. I also cannot find thunder rolls when I type in Garth Brooks. I can't even find Garth Brooks. Did someone hack itunes and remove orginal songs.

Perhaps the bands do not permit their music to be sold on itunes.
I don't remember AC/DC ever being on itunes store, in fact, I believe they have boycotted itunes. You can look this up on the internet.
I imagine it's the same for Garth Brooks.

Is it possible to sync songs not available to iCloud?

I have songs which iTunes says are not able to upload to iCloud via iTunes Match. I can't sync it to my IOS devices through iTunes anymore if I'm using ITM. So, I either have to disable ITM and go back to direct library sync but lose the advantage of ITM. Is there anyway to sync part of a library or playlist and still use ITunes Match?

Your iOS devices do not need to be "linked" to your previous iTunes Store account. They can still play the media. It is only computers that need to be "authorized," and as long as your Mac is authorized you can sync and play that protected media on an unlimited number of devices.
But, as you say, if it simply isn't working then you've got a couple of courses of action. One is to sign into that original account on the iTunes Store and upgrade the protected files to DRM-free files, via the iTunes Plus link under the Quick Links section on the left side of the page. Two, is to burn those protected files to an audio CD and re-import them as AAC or MP3 files. Either course of action will allow the files to then be compatible with iTuens Match.

Songs not available in Can., are in US.

Anybody know why this problems exists? Enlighten me as to why I can't find certain songs in Canada that I can in the United States Itunes store.

Often, the owner of the rights to licence the song (for sale) is not the performing artist. It could be the record company or "an organistaion", or ... well, didn't Michael Jackson own the rights to the Beatles catalogue? Look at how long has it taken to get the Beatles catalogue in the iTunes Store (even if you're not a fan)?
I once read an artist's blog, who stated that two of his band's early albums would never come out on CD because the copyright holder wanted too much money to licence the rights! So in other words, they'd rather have no money, than "not as much as they want".
Truth be told, the copyright owner is probably holding out in the hope of increasing demand and value due to rarity. That may have worked "in the old days" when getting the physical disc was the only (practical) way of getting the music. But in today's market, that simply doesn't work and I fear that the rights holder of these particular albums has missed the boat. And would you believe it, both albums were released (far too late, I reckon) on one CD earlier in the year. Even more unbelieveable is that the band's MySpace page makes no mention of the CD!

Song Not Available in the US Store /// What??

All I want to do is buy
" The Black Pearl" by Klaus Baadelt ... the 2003 Pirates of the Caribbean.
One single time, I was able to play the "sample" portion. But henceforth I have been unable to either purchase it nor hear the sample segment. I getthe eror that it is no longer available in the US store.
Note, yesterday I purchased tracks from the recent Pirates movie with no problem at all.

Well, it's good to know that it isn't just me. Note, I got another email from the iTunes people, perhaps a bolierplate, dunno ... the email went something like this:

Itunes purchased songs not available on my PC.

I purchased some music from Itunes and downloaded it to my comp.....the album and songs show in my itunes library, but it won't play them and gives me the message the"original file can't be found". It also does not show the icloud icon beside the songs. When I go to my purchases in itunes it does not give the option to re down load the songs. The crazy thing is that the songs are on my iphone. Help please! How do I get the songs back on my PC?

Delete them from the iTunes library on your computer and redownload them by opening the iTunes Store > Purchased (in the Quick Links section on the right) > sign in > Music

ITunes Match songs not available on iTunes startup

I am having a problem with iTunes and iTunes Match. When I startup iTunes on a computer that only has the iTunes Match library, all of the songs that are in the cloud are unavailable for me. They are all greyed out (see image below).
I did find a workaround where I turn off Itunes Match and then re-enable it. But that is annoying.
Anyone have any advice?

No, my issue is that all songs are greyed out once I restart iTunes, whether I closed it by mistake or restarted this never fails. I can deactivate iTunes Match and reactivate but that doesn't always work. When matching IS working all the icons are normal and all files are either matched or uploaded.
The cloud icon by the Music library ends up with diagonal repeating lines moving from left to right indicating a continuous loading. I have let the app sit there "loading" for 2 days thinking maybe something is just congested on Apple's end.
Considering what I've read on the forums as well as the fact the it works FINE on the Mac leads me to believe that Apple screwed up the PC end when updating to the most recent revision.

My computer died. Is there a way to download Soundcloud songs (not available on iTunes) directly to my iPod Touch?

Unfortunately, I don't know when I can get the computer fixed, but I want to be able to listen to certain music without having to stream it from the app (long plane rides in the next week). Is there any way to download them directly to the iPod without using a computer at all?
