Songs not played the whole way through

On several of my song on my ipod, it will start to play the song just fine. After a while, the song will stop, the time left in the song will be 1 second and I have a really hard time to get it to start playing it again. I have tried lot of different methods from restarting the ipod to restoring the ipod. Does anyone else have this problem or am i the only one?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • A number of songs I downloaded from the iTunes store are not playing the whole way through.

Some of the songs are only playing for a couple of seconds, them others I have purhased around the same time are playing the whole way through. Is there any way to fix this?

    Hey maddielou2,
Thanks for the question. The following article outlines a resolution to your issue:
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    - Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    - Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    - Download your previously purchased song from this list.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • TS1362 Song wont play the whole way through?

I downloaded new music today from iTunes, and some songs only get a few seconds in and cut to the next song. It seems like the download wasnt totally completed? Most songs are fine, but a few only play the first few seconds

Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

  • HT1725 What do I do if the download says it is complete, but the song does not play the whole way through?

I downloaded an album from the itunes store, which completed fine, but when I play it, some songs play through fully and some go silent about 15 seconds before they should end. How do I fix this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • Why are my videos not playing the right way up

Why are my videos not playing the right way up

I took four video clips while on a trip this week.  Two are oriented the right way (playing wide on the device and imported correctly).  The other two are Tall and not oriented right.  Orientation is 90 degrees to the right.  I don't know why this is happening on occasions.  Even some pictures I took did the same **** thing.  It's weird.  And I can't figure it out.  The camera is held the way I want the pictures and videos to be recorded and played but something internal is turning these videos and pictures 90 degrees clockwise.

Do this happen with tracks at random or only a certain subset of tracks?

    Hello there,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Have you tried resetting her Nano? To do this, toggle the hold switch on and off, then press and hold both the Sleep/Wake buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
Otherwise, I would recommend restoring her Nano via iTunes and starting from scratch.

  • Some of my songs on my iTunes are stopping towards the end and going to the next song. It won't play those specific songs the entire way through.

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and transfered my entire library to my new laptop. Itunes was working fine until I started to notice that certain songs won't play the entire way through. It'll stop at like 1:43 or another random time and skip right to the next song. I know I definitely bought some of these songs off of iTunes, and I really don't want to repurchase them. I don' understand why this would even be happening because they played fine on my old computer! Is there any way I can get them to play all the way through again!?

  • Songs not playing in entirty

I have experieced this for quite some time, and it's really annoying.  Some songs will play about half way through then some other random song will start playing.  The album art, name, etc still show the original song, but it's not that song that's playing.  I've deleted all my music from my phone and tried to redownload from itunes match but no luck.  It's not even the same song that plays each time so it's not a corrupt music file in the cloud.  It's intermittent too, some songs play all the way through, while other's don't.  Also the same song plays fine in iTunes on my Windoze PC, but both my iPad and iPhone play part way through then someother song comes on.
    Here's what I have tried.
Turned off iMatch then deleted all the songs on my iPhone/iPad.  Turned iMatch back on and re-download song, issue still occured.  I had problems on my iPhone 4 getting iMatch to redownload and show my files so I also found these instructions, which seemed to work to get iMatch to re-download my music again.  However after doing this and re-downloading the song, it still was cut off.
    1. connect iPhone, open iExplorer
    2. navigated to iPhone\Media\iTunes_Control\iTunes
    3. copied these 3 files to my desktop:
              MediaLibrary.sqllitedb
              MediaLibrary.sqllitedb-shm
              MediaLibrary.sqllitedb-wal
    4. deleted the same 3 files from my iPhone
    5. performed a hard reboot on my iPhone (home button + sleep/wake button, hold until you see the apple logo)
The reboot forced iOS to recreate the 3 MediaLibrary files. After this, I was able to turn iTunes Match on and my entire library showed up on the iPhone. I am able to redownload tracks as needed now.
This seems like an issue with iMatch, but if there's a file I can delete on my iPhone/iPad and have it correct the issue that would be great!

I just noticed it's not random what song is played when the original song is cut off.  It's the next song in the playlist it seems.  But then when it goes to the next track it still can get a bit confused.

  • Is there a way to make an audio clip not cover the whole project? I want to add audio clip or song and let it start at a certain point in the project. I'm working with iMovie on IPad!

Is there a way to make an audio clip not cover the whole project in iMovie? I want to add audio clip or song and let it start at a certain point in the project. Whenever I add audio or song it covers the whole project. I'm working with iMovie on IPad!

Thank you for your reply Karsten but unfortunately this didn't help me so far. Or maybe I'm missing something?
First the link is a tutorial for iMovie on a Mac. I'm using iMovie on iPad so the steps are inapplicable.
Second it is only possible for me to manipulate the end part of the sound clip to whichever duration I want. But I can't do the same with the 'beginning' of the sound clip.
I simply want to place some photos in the beginning of my video with no sound in the background then after like 2 secs I want to start the music clip. For some reason that is not possible! Cause every time I drop the music clip unto my project timeline it automatically place it self along with the first frame in the project! And consequently the photos and music are forced to start together.
    Hope I'm making sense...

  • Apple TV will not play the entire song

I use Apple TV to play music because of the sound system hooked to my HD television. However, I have discovered that Apple TV will not play the entire song if it is long. For example, "Tales From Topographic Oceans" by Yes is one album of six 20+-minute songs. When each track gets about half way through, the system switches to the next track. I cannot find anything in Settings to fix this, either in iTunes on Apple TV. Help?

the newer appletv dont have their own strorage
so they can only access the shared lib of the computer
some computers are set to power saving levels where they will turn off if not used by a real user for X mins
if that happens the shared lib will no longer be avaible to the atv in which case it will not be able to keep playing
