Songs on my Itunes aren't going on my Ipod.

Okay so, I've recently had the problem with the whole "iTunes lost all my library; only purchased songs are showing" https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4952008 well, I've found a solution I think (read in that link to see the whole thing+solution.) and now, songs I put on Itunes, NOT PURCHASED, won't go on my Itunes. I've done everything I can think of...HELP PLEASE.

I mean, won't go on my ipod >:o sorry lol.

  • Imported songs and some songs bought through itunes aren't playing on my ipod?

Hey I just updated both my ipod and Itunes, and while syncing new music to my ipod touch (5th gen,) it seems half my music had gone haywire. Some of it is stuff I've bought from bandcamp, downloaded from Itunes, or uploaded from CDs. They all worked fine till I tried syncing new music. Any idea on what's going on? Is it the update? I don't think I did anything that would prevent these files from working. All imported music files are AAC or mp3 and have worked in the past.
As an added note, while looking at the music files through itunes as the ipod was supposed to be downloading them, they usually get a little loading circle, but the entire song was greyed out even though they were selected to load.
Also while trying to play pre-existing music in my ipod, it will skip and jump through songs till it lands on one that works. All the songs it skipped through will have an icon saying they are playing next to them when they are obviously not. Corrupted files? They play just fine on my computer though.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync or delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If necessary

  • How do I convert AIFF song files in iTunes to ACC files to fit iPod?

How do I convert AIFF song files in iTunes to ACC files to fit iPod? My AIFF files are appartently bigger per song than ACC files. How do I convert an AIFF song or playlist in iTunes to ACC files so they take up less room. Right now I can only fit 50 songs as opposed to 500 songs. The songs are already in iTunes as AIFF files. Most of the songs I inport are original songs from CD's that are already AIFF files. How do I convert them when going into my iPod?

Thank you so much! I now know how to convert AIFF audio files to ACC files, and I can keep the original AIFF file! One other concern though -- how do I tell which is the bigger AIFF file and which is the new smaller ACC file? iTunes doesn't have an obvious place/window that tells me the audio file size. Is there a way to tell the two apart. It looks like it creates an identical file name, not even a "copy" extension or anything -- so it's impossible to tell them apart. Is there another secret here?

  • Question I have a dilemma . I added a lot of songs in my iTunes now when I synced my ipod this message appear "Elma's ipod cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items in the iTunes library (additiona

I addesd a lot of songs in my itunes, now when I synced my ipod this message appear "elma's ipod cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items in the itunes library (additional 382m is required). Then I uncheck a lot of song and synced my ipod again same message appeared. Do I need to buy a new ipod with more memories? Somebody told me to check apply after I unchecked some of the songs but I cannot find the word APPLY. please help I'm not a very technical person.

The Sync button becomes the Apply button, if you change the iPod's settings in iTunes.  If you are only unchecking songs in the iTunes music library, you click on the Sync button.
When you select the iPod in iTunes, you see the iPod's Summary screen on the main part of the iTunes window.  There is a checkbox there for Sync only checked songs.  Did you check that checkbox?  If you want iTunes to ignore the songs you unchecked when syncing your iPod, that setting needs to be enabled.  If you change that setting, you'll see the the Sync botton has changed to Apply.  Click Apply.
That method of unchecking songs works, but it may become annoying over time, as you need to uncheck more and more songs.  If you want advice on some other more convenient ways to make it work, you can post back.

  • Why aren't some of my songs in my Itunes playlist not syncing to my ipod?

There is no exclamation mark, they all play in itunes, they are all mp3 format, there is room on my ipod, and they are not from different accounts, so what's going on?

No, they're not going onto my ipod at all. In the end i had enough and downloaded different versions from other sites and they worked but i still want to know what is going on because if it happens again with more songs it will be difficult to re-do all of them.

I keep looking up songs/albums I want to buy on my iPod Touch, but I can never add them to a wish list because I can't find the right button to push. • I moved songs within my iTunes media folder and now my iPod can't find them

Hello.  I have a few albums in my iTunes library that organize the artists by such folders as Artist feat. So-and-So.  This makes it difficult to scroll through artists on my iPod and in my car.  So I moved those songs that are in those folders to their corresponding album folder under the original artists' names.  Now when I try to sync my iPod it tells me that those songs cannot be found.  I completely restored my iPod and tried again after unchecking the following, but it still couldn't find the songs.
Convert higher bit rate songs to X kbps AAC
    Keep iTunes Media folder organized
Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library
Luckily I do still have the original CDs and can delete the albums then restore them, but I find this particular feature to be pretty ridiculous.
Can anyone help?  Thanks in advance!

The Macintosh has something called "file aliases" which allow you to move files from their original locations and applications that reference those files will still know how to find them. Windows does not have anything like that. It works off of full path / file names. So, when you moved your music folder and all your music in Windows Explorer, iTunes is still pointing to the old location.

  • Not all my songs in my itunes library are synced to my ipod

Why not all my songs in itunes library are synced to my ipod classic?

Have you set iTunes to Sync all the music to your iPod?
If you have set it up as step 1, did you also select Sync only ticked songs and videos on the Summary pane?
If you chose step 2, are the songs mising form the iPod ticked in your Library? If not, that's why they are not on your iPod.
Alternatively, where are you looking for the songs on your iPod? For example, If you cannot find the artist on the artist menu, have you looked under the album title or the song's title?

  • Why all the songs on my iTunes library do not synchronize onto iPod?

There are about 200 songs on my iTunes library, but when I synchronize with my iPod, less than half of them end up on the portable device.
    What's wrong?

  • Songs in Itunes aren't flowing over to ipod correctly

I have many songs that are categorized correctly under their artist's names in itunes and are consistant in their naming but after syncing with my ipod, the songs can only be found under "songs" on the ipod and are not categorized under the artist's name. The songs are all uniform and spelled accordingly with upper and lower case letters under the artist's name in itunes. Not sure why they are not generating the same under the respect artist on my ipod. Please help, Thanks.

That's a very helpful, quick and good response. Thanks. I tried it and it works as a fix to the problem. So that's something!
It is however somewhat annoying to have to give fake album names to all songs currently without album titles (about 2000 tracks). This did not occur before having updated the ipod with the latest updater, or on my old iPod.
So thanks for your help and I'll do that for now, but if Apple are reading and looking at things to change in the next software version it would be good to revert to how things used to be!

  • Select Songs Purchased From iTunes Aren't Authorized ???

I just got my computer fixed and completely cleared of all spyware and such so when I got my computer back and went to play some songs it says it wasn't "Authorized" while I'll click on a different song and it is "Authorized". I have bought all of this music from iTunes and this is the only computer I use iTunes with, so why are some songs not "Authorized"? I also went to update my iPod and it took several of these I guess unauthorized songs off my iPod when they used to be authorized, it said they couldn't be copied to my iPod when they were already there.. Any help on why iTunes suddenly hates me?

ok i did this prior to coming on here with a question, and now it still says i need to authorize my computer when it says only 1 computer is authorized and that is the one it wants me to authorize.

  • IBook repaired, songs bought through iTunes will not transfer back to iPod

i found the way to get my songs from my iPod to my computer, but now all of the songs i bought through iTunes will not go back to my iPod. error message is "some of the songs, including "so-and-so" (actually it's Alice Cooper's Feed my Frankenstein :)HA!) were not moved to the iPod because you are not authorized to play them on this computer." the problem is, this is the same computer, it's just been wiped by Apple and i reinstalled everything. i see in one of these forums that you can apparently double click on the song to get it to transfer back, but i have about 3000 songs, so it's hard to tell what i bought from iTunes from what i had already. can anyone help me do this in one foul swoop? THANKS!

thanks. will try that when i get home.

P.S. when docked is it normal to have the read out say "do not disconnect" constantly? I can't access any menus when it's docked as well.
** I know enough to be dangerous but not enough to figure this thing out!!! * thanks all!!
