Songs on my itunes dont even show up on my phone

I went to search for a song on my iphone 6+ the other day, it doesnt even show up on my song list! Yet on my Mac Mini I open up my Itunes, its there and it plays right away! What is wrong?

So i fixed it by converting each song to a AAC File or whatever. Made a dulicate song but it works, just right click on the song and hit convert to aACC File. For one album I had to right click view in apple store and hit download on the songs that were skipping.

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)
Should solve your problem :~)

Have you ever been able to sync your iPod shuffle to iTunes on your computer, or has something recently occurred? Are you working with a Mac or a PC? Without knowing what has been recommended to you, I'm going to start here with the basics troubleshooting for this issue.

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

Sorry! Figured it out. Just took awhile to load.

I downloaded ios7 after being asked to restore. But now my phone wont connect to the activation server and is asking to restore again but I cant because itunes does not show any of my phone information

I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.

My ipod had recently somehow got rid of all my songs the first time i didnt kno how but by the 2nd time i had all my songs on there and i just plugged it into my computer last night to charge, there was songs on it before i plugged it in but in the morning when i check on it there was no songs left at all.
I have zero songs, and about 7gb of free space left? wth is wrong with my ipod?

Itunes match has removed my playlists from itunes and my iphone. Not only that, many of the songs 'matched' on itunes do not show up on my iphone. Seriously annoyed, wish I'd never paid for it

iTunes Match does not have the ability to remove local files.
The service operates by comparing the selected iTunes Library with the iTunes Store content and 'matching' or 'uploading' - it is very straightforward a 'match' provides equivalent access to iTunes Store content as a recognised 'purchase'; upload simply copies a 256k AAC variant into the cloud. There are no elements of this activity that can erase the local library content.
Would suggest you explore possible alternative causes of file loss. Given the pattern described of selective deletion, leaving many Songs intact - would suggest making at least 2 secure offline Song file backups and starting the library again from a fresh install of iTunes once a thorough sweep of the system has been completed for virus. It is also worth assessing the physical security of the system - who has access & with what privileges.
To access Songs from the cloud, you would have to manually delete the Song from the library or open an empty library - so even when accessing content, iTunes Match provides no local deletion capability.

You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Learn how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
