Songs play for a minute then go silent :/

I downloaded a few songs on itunes on my iPhone this week... They play for about a minute then go silent. They continue to play but do not have any sound. How can I download the songs again for free? So that they actually work this time? Thankyou!

Any ideas? I'm stuck on this one :/

  • Several purchased songs only play for a minute then cut out what do i do?, several purchased songs only play for a minute then cut out what do i do?

Several purchasedsongs only play for a minute then cut off what is wrong?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • Song Plays for 9 Seconds then stops

One of my songs on my iPod Nano 2nd generation 4GB pink plays for 9 seconds then stops. It plays perfectly in iTunes. My iTunes software and iPod software are up to date. I tried restoring it but no luck. The song file isn't corrupted because it plays on my sisters MP3 player and in iTunes and in Windows Media Player. I've tried Apple suggestions too. If nothing helps I'm going to go the store I bought it at because I have an extended warranty, to see if they can help me.

Does the song play all the way through on the computer? If so, reload this song (or all of the songs if you don't know how to do manual) onto the iPod. If the song doesn't work on the computer, e-mail Apple for a replacement download.

  • Song plays for 13 seconds, then stops. Please Help!

This has never been an issue until now, and it is only this one song. I downloaded the song "U and Dat" by E-40, along with "Me and U" by Cassie, "Tell Me When To Go" by E-40, "It's Going Down" by Yung Joc, "Over My Head (Cable Car)" by The Fray, and "Bossy" by Kelis (please note that I am not having this issue with these songs) about 30 minutes ago and I put it on my iPod. Shortly after, I connected my iPod to my iHome to listen to the song, and it only played for 13 secongs, and then went on to the next song on my list. So naturally, I tried it again and it did the same thing. After that, I listened to the next song all the way through with no issues. So, figuring something might be wrong with my iHome, I connected my iPod to my iDog, and got the same results. So I connected my iPod to my compter to see if I had the same issue when I played it on iTunes, and it played all the way through. So now, I am clueless on what the problem could be and getting madder by the second, so if anyone knows how to fix this problem or has had this problem before, I'd really like some feedback. Thanks!

  • When using iPod in my iPhone it plays for a minute then goes to pause, how do I stop this?

When I play iPod music on my phone it will play for a few seconds, even minutes & then will sort of crackle/hesitate and the player goes to pause.
I hit the play again & the same happens.
I have tried a soft reset, any idea what else I can do?

    Chea,
8-3 isn't, strictly speaking, a number, so Numbers guesses it's a Date when the default format of Automatic is in force. You can override the guess by formatting the cell to something other than Automatic.
It may seem perverse to you, but formatting the cell as Number prior to enterint the string 8-3 causes it to be presented as Text. This will solve your problem, I suppose, since it will not longer be a Date/Time object.
On the other hand, if you were tring to express an operation involving two numeric values and the subtraction operator, then you could write: =8-3. The resulting display would then be 5.

  • Each song plays for one minute and then nano shuts down, what to do?

What to do about nano shutting down after one minute of play?

    Hello cs1870,
I would be concerned too if my iPod was shutting off after one minute.  I found an article with some steps you can take to address issues like this:
    Constantly restarting
Try putting the iPod into disk mode and restoring:
Reset the device (press the Sleep and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the display turns black—about eight seconds).
When the display turns black, hold down the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk mode.
While the device is in disk mode, connect it to iTunes and try to restore.
Sync to iTunes and try to restore the iPod

  • After downloading about 100 songs, some are only playing for a minute then switching songs. Any suggestions? only playing 1 minute then switching songs.

After downloading songs, some aren't playing all the way through. Any suggestions?  Thank-you

If they get cut off while playing in iTunes, you probably got a corrupted download.  Fortunately, you can re-download any previous song purchase from the iTunes Store at any time, as many times as you need.
Try this with one of the songs with the problem, to make sure re-downloading fixes the problem.
Go to the main iTunes Store screen in iTunes.  Over on the right, find and click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS.  On the Purchased screen, click on Music, and find the purchased song with the problem in the list below.  To the right of the song name, it probably says "Downloaded."  Since iTunes think you have already downloaded the song to you'll computer, you'll need to delete it first.
Select your main iTunes Music library in the sidebar, under LIBRARY.  Find that song and select it.  Hit the Delete key; confirm you want to delete it AND that you want to move the song file to the Trash.
Now, go back to the Purchased screen and find that song again.  It should now have a button with a cloud symbol where is said "Downloaded" before.  Click that button to download the song again.  Hopefully, it will play completely.  If that fixes the problem, you can do the same thing for the other songs with this problem.

  • Songs play for 2 seconds, then iTunes crashes

After updating to 7.7, iTunes suddenly doesn't like any of the songs in my music library. I can play a song for only two seconds before iTunes crashes. I CAN play song samples from the ITunes store just fine. Any ideas?

Since downloading the video from iTunes Music store my songs downloaded from Nusic Store will no longer play either. It prompts my to enter my password (which I have checked and changed) but they still will not play

  • The audiobook I downloaded will only play for 20 minutes then quits. Never had this happen before. How do I fix?

Downloaded an audiobook onto my iPod Touch and listened to the first 20 minutes of it. Then it just stopped playing. No matter how I tried to get back to where it left off, it would only begin from the start. I tried putting the same audiobook onto another device and it does the same thing. So, then I tried to listen to the story through iTunes on my desk top---- same thing. How can I fix this?

It sounds like the file you downloaded has been corrupted in some way, although you should check using Get Info > Options tab that it doesn't just have a truncated stop time. Use the report a problem link in your account history and explain the circumstances. Someone from the store should help you get the issue resolved with a fresh download.

  • I have songs on iTunes that seem to have corrupted files with time.  The songs play for a while then suddenly stop mid-song and iTunes goes to the next song.  On my iPod the playback pauses for a few seconds then picks up again.

Some of these songs were purchased via iTunes.  I would like to download them again but the Download buttons are grayed out when I bring up the purchased songs listing.  Any help appreciated.  Is there any way to quickly get a file integrity check done?

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them (if they are still in your country's store) via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. Or delete them and copy them back (File > Add To Library) from your backup of your downloads/library.

  • I bought an album on iTunes, and one of the songs plays for 7 seconds, then it stops playing. I even tried to play it in Windows Media Player and it didn't work there either. How do I make it work or get my money back?

  • I have rented a movie on atv and it starts playing for 5 minutes then has been loading for over 12 hours, changed from hd to sd my internet speed seems ok, but running out of time to watch it. Any suggestions?

I have rented a movie from itunes on my atv last night about 8pm.  started watching shortly thereafter, it stopped and said loading...it is still loading, now almost out of time to watch.  I read some suggestions about changing hd to sd in settings, and I did.  I admit I am so ignorant about all of this, but if anyone can offer something else, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, vic365

I also had terrible issues with 2 Wire Gateway and my mid-2010 MacBook Pro.  We changed to WPA2 and that seems to have fixed the problem.  The AT&T tech support person, Phillipines, was extremely helpful.  She went through network settings with me.  One interesting step was going into my DNS tab (Network Preferences and then Advanced Button) and replacing my entries with these:
    68.94.156.1
    68.94.157.1
It's been several days and I've only seen a few random packet drops.  Still charging along at full signal strength.

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please try to remove all program rules for firefox in your firewall and let it detect the program again: [[Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox]]
