Songs playing automatically

Hello every one this is another huge issue which i got now my songs are playing automatically when i swipe right and then move up down my apps suddenly a song starts playing automatically it happens only when i pause the song.

See i tried this one more time and it happened once again. Do as i say i am having latest version of developer preview. Pause a song then go to home swipe right then as fast as you can swipe up down device will lag for a second and then your paused song will start playing automatically this is a serious issue what if someone kept his phone silent busy somewhere there is no music aloud and suddenly out starts playing.

Other than starting play from the songs list - As far as I know, unless you create a playlist for all of the music that you want to play without stopping, there is no way to play songs continuously in the Music App on the iPad.
If you start play with a song in the songs list, then I believe all of the songs will play one after the other. If you mean though, starting with one album or artist and then moving on the the next album or artist, you have to create a playlist for that.

Song Plays Automatically Upon Opening, Why?

Help...
Recently, upon opening certain cues, they automatically play once all of the instruments are loaded. Other sessions created around the same time do not do this.
I open a cue, it loads, and it plays on its own, automatically. On loud cues, early in the morning, no coffee yet, this is a bit startling...
Is this a preference somewhere that I am unaware of?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I also had this while ago, it happens because i saved the song while it played. when i saved it again the "after-load-player" was gone.

Hi Dr. Ron,
By your question, I am wondering if you are playing your music from the iTunes app rather than the Music app?
In the Music App, you can go to any of the options at the bottom and click on a song to play and it will then continue to play the songs in that category. You can also select "Shuffle" to shuffle them.
As for your Photos, did you have them backed up anywhere?

As long as you don't mind doing a little post publish editing of your .js files, it's fairly easy to do. You will find them in this path on your iDisk, using the Go menu in Finder:
Go/iDisk/MyiDisk/Sites/iWeb/Nameofsitefolder/Page_filesFolder/Page.js
Open the .js files for that particular page on your iDisk with any text editor (I like Taco, and it's free) and make the following changes to the script code that controls your movie: (you will find the movie code near the top of the page in the .js file)
Change autoplay="false" to autoplay="true"
Change loop="false" to loop="true"
Changing controller value="true" to controller value="false" will remove the controller from the page entirely. Make these changes in both sets of tags, (object and embed).
Make the changes and just "Save". Clear your browser cache and you should see the changes take effect immediately. Bear in mind you will have to make this modification each time you republish your site. You can also save this modified .js file and replace the republished file with it, as long as no other changes were made to the page in iWeb.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

Stopping songs from automatically stopping after one play

Hey guys,
After doubleclicking a song on the playlist, the song plays but then instead of playing another song stops showing the apple logo. This happens no matter if the songs are played in libary, playlists or party shuffle or if songs are highlighted. How can we rectify this so each song plays after one another?

hmmmm. are all the little checkboxes to the left of your tracknames unchecked? (that can produce the symptoms you're reporting.)
to check all (or uncheck all) your songs, hold down Ctrl and click on one of the boxes.

How can I stop all tracks on an album playing automatically?

I use my iPod Classic to play backing tracks in my band. I have all our songs in one Album and want to be able to trigger tracks one at a time. But as one track ends the next one starts automatically. I want to be able to trigger the next track myself, when we're ready for it. I know I could choose 'Song' from the menu but I have a lot of my own albums on the iPod and it would take ages to find the single song I want. Is there are an easy way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? Thank you.

A further alternative is to set each of your own songs (in your iTunes Library) to Skip When Shuffling. Since you already have these songs in one album, you shouldn't need to create a Playlist for the album, but you can if you wish.
Sync the changed songs to your iPod. If you use Sync to manage your iPod, then a simple Sync should effect the changed songs on the iPod as well.
Now, on the iPod, select Settings/Shuffle>Songs. Do not use the Shuffle Songs on the Main Menu, this trick doesn't work if you do. You have to set shuffle on the Settings menu.
Now, on the Albums menu, navigate to your album and select the first song. When it ends, the iPod will stop (because every other song in your album is set to skip when shuffling.
At your leisure, you select the next song that you want and start it playing. When it ends, the same thing happens, the iPod stops.
If you created a Playlist (in step 1.) then at step 4, navigate to that Playlist and start your first song playing. Again, when it ends, the iPod will stop since every other song in the Playlist is set to skip when shuffling.

When adding a file to library in iTunes 8 it is not played automatically

Before iTunes 8, double-clicking on an mp3 file, would add it to the iTunes Library and play it automatically. However in iTunes 8, when a file is added to the library, it is not played automatically and we have to find it in the list and play it.
Is there a way to make iTunes 8 to play the file as soon as it is added or is this a bug?

According to MacWorld the following terminal commands should restore that behaviour for you:

All tracks playing automatically

I have sync'ed my iPhone with iTunes. One of the Playlists has several Tracks. When the first Track is fully played the iPhone stops. I have to press again Play button for the second Track. How do I make all the Tracks played automatically in serial?

Look at the songs in iTunes on your computer (list view). Does each song have a check mark in the box to the left of the song's name.? Unchecked songs have to be clicked on individually to play them, checked songs will play one after the other.
To check or uncheck all boxes on a PC with one click, hold down the Control (ctrl) key and click on one of the checkboxes with the mouse. You can use this in a library, a playlist or in search results.

Open your web browser's preferences and set it not to automatically open safe files. If you're using Safari, this option is in the General tab.

Itunes songs play softer

Hi Everybody,
I've been having a small amount of trouble with my Itunes. It has been bugging me for a while so i thought i would check in here and see if anyone had any advice about it.
I have noticed that whenever i edit the song info on itunes, after it has changed, the song automatically drops in volume. For example, if i go into "get info" and delete the album name, after this the song plays softer and is quieter than it originally was.
I've been checking online for info but it's mostly about sound check and equalizer settings etc. I have tried these but it didn't change it.
Any ideas?

That phenomenon has been there for at least the last seven years of iTunes releases.
I have assumed it is a consequence of the initial analysis done by SoundCheck. In any case, iTunes does not in any way modify the file volume itself, only its own playback. So you can be assured the file is not getting messed up.

Autoplaying many slideshows with one song playing

Hi, I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help me. I'm using iDVD 4 and making a DVD w/ many slideshows (b/c I'm limited to 99 images per show). I would like to allow them to all play automatically and have 1 song play for all... is this even possible?
I appreciate any help you can offer.

Not with iDVD 4.
Have you considered creating the slideshow as a movie in iMovie. Then you can use more than 99 slides in one show.

Only parts of my songs from itunes match are downloading onto my phone. The full song plays fine on computer but not on iphone

I recently purchased Itunes match to download some of the songs from my library onto my phone. Everything downloaded fine. At least I thought, until I tried to listen to my music on my phone. I found that some of the songs that were downloaded from the itunes match are not fully there. The full song plays fine on my computer, however on my phone it will only play a part of the song and then immediately cut off and skip to the next song, while the display still says the other song should be playing. I tried turning off the itunes match and just re-synching the music from my computer itunes library to my phone but still encounerted the same problem. Is there an easier way of fixing this, or do I have to basically restore my whole phone?

Did you let the scan in iTunes finish before you enabled the service on the iPhone? If not you need to. Disable iTM on the iPhone, then launch the Music app and let the content clear out. Once the scan is complete in iTunes re-enable iTM on the iPhone.

As it goes now, one clicks on the song in the new playlist where the arrow is and then chooses 'Play Song Next.' So, it plays next, but then the song after that is back in the old playlist. I want to use iTunes smoothly without the extra clicks I've had to do in order to get the playlist to continue. This is music for background while I play the violin at restaurants, and extra clicks and hassle is quite unappreciated, especailly since it worked fine in the previous iTunes.

At the top of the playlist where it shows the playlist title and the number of songs, there are two icons. Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there).
