Songs suddenly disappeared from the lists

I tried to sync my Ipod touch, but when I looked, all songs have disappeared, although the space remains used (the bar shows other as the type of information stored).
I tried reseting the device, but the situation is the same after it.
Has anyone suffered the same problem?

I've had the same problem on multiple occasions.

The only solution thats worked for me is to delete all data and then re-sync EVERYTHING. This is not an acceptable solution, and I can't seem to find anything else from apple.

Hey Paul,
If I understand correctly, it sounds like iTunes is not grouping the songs from a particular CD together. The cause could be something as minor as a misspelling or slight variations. For more information, see the following resource:

Bonjour Printers appeared, and poof! disappeared from the list

I am trying to set up our new PowerBook 12" to print through an airport base station to printers attached to our iMac G4 which is currently hardwired to the base station, both machines running 10.4.5. I had little luck yesterday, not seeing any of the printers in the printer browser and trying all the various LPD, IPP, Appletalk, etc. browsers/connections. Finally today turning sharing on and off on the G4 triggered something and the three (! we collect a new cheap printer every time we buy a system) printers briefly appeared in the browser list on the Powerbook..... for about three seconds they were listed correctly with the address as '@bonjour' and then POOF they were gone. Any help? Thanks,

PS Perhaps two other particulars will help. The network works well for any other kinds of sharing. - and - Before upgrading the iMac from 10.3.9 I did manage to print to a queue (I think it was a default queue) using this airport set-up.

OK, have you loaded the software from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page?
If so and that did not work, look on your CD under the utils/ccc folder for an L3_uninstaller and run it. Reboot and reload from the Support & Drivers link above.

Icon for i cloud suddenly disappeared from mail ? Not a problem but just concerned that the icon should disappear from the listing for the iCloud e mail account

I had previosly set up a number of IMAP e mail account in addiiton under my .mac and .me account which is my personal account.
On the mail home page it had the inbox listing thee accounts and further down the page its used to list the on line accounts set up under I cloud using the same name as the .mac or .me accounts, but also included the i cloud icon as does my ipad. Logged onto day and the i cloud icon had dissappeared? not sure why it is still functioning and I still have all my icloud accounts set up but the icon is no longer present.
Maybe just a bit anal but it bugs me to know why this icon has suddenly dissappeared?

Do you use these settings in Mail for your Gmail account (especially for the SMTP) ?
If you use IMAP and all your emails are still stored on the server you can delete your account in Mail and recreate it with the settings mentionned above.

Right click on the email in the left hand pane. Select Mark as Unread to return it to an unread state. Click Delete to move it to the trash or file it in a folder if you have any configured. You may need to click the show button on the upper left hand side of the window to see your folders. The + sign at the bottom of that pane allows you to add a new folder.

Are you using IPP or LPD? IPP usually gives better results, if activated at the printer. As for automatic driver selection, it normally doesn't work thru TCP/IP, only thru AppleTalk. So you have to scroll down and look for the specific model. If not there, make sure you don't have a "Lexmark Printer Drivers Update" pending to install on System Update. Or visit the Lexmark.com site and download the drivers file to install.

Hi Experts,
We are working on CRM 7.0 We are having an issue while trying to reschedule the calls in the Call list.
The rescheduled call disappears from the list and appears after some "X" time.
Say, if the user rescheduled the call for 30 minutes and saves, the call disappears immediately from the list. Users are not able to view the call for some time, even after the rescheduled time. Even log out and log in is also not helping.

Thank you for not only the tip but also especially the research showing that for anybody other that those using Wi-Fi for the first time the network wouldn't disappear. I wanted it to disappear for everyone so.....I finally solved it by resetting the Airport Extreme to the factory settings and starting over from scratch! It worked! Yay!!!!!
So, for everyone that has had this problem (and I've read many of the same complaints in different places on the Internet), you must go into Airport Utility and check the box stating that you want to reset it to the factory settings. Do not do it with a paper clip and the reset button on the box; I tried that first and it did not work. You must reset it via the Airport Utility. Then just start over and you will have the choice to NOT check the box to Enable Guests. If you want to enable guests, just be sure not to use your name or you're back to the same problem. Apple is so great with everything...wouldn't it have been so easy for them to just put this in the manual somewhere????? Thanks for all your help. Hope this helps others!

I am using an external drive for a time machine backup. It has disappeared from the desktop. How do I get it back again?

My time machine backup disc, which has been working ok for a couple of years has suddenly disappeared from the desktop. The time machine program tels me it is unavailable. I have checked that the drive is working by booting up in Windows. and Windows can see it and read it ok. What has gone wrong, and how can I fix it?
I have tried unplugging it and reconnecting, but it is still apparently not seen by the system.
I could use Windows to reformat it, and start again, but this would loose all my previous backups, and I've no guarantee that the system would notice it even then.
Has anyone any ideas?

I think it's formatted on FAT 32 system, but I'm not sure. It's been working for a couple of years so far without any problems, so I think it must be compatible with Mac. The problem is that all of a sudden, the Mac doesn't acknowledge that it is present.

Pages disappeared from the "pages window"

pages suddenly disappeared from the pages window.
whatever file i open or create and no matter how many pages i add, they do not appear in the "pages window". it is completely blank as if no file is opened. therefor i cannot edit, move or manage the pages within my files.
i have tried deleting preference files but that does not work. very frustrating.

Not being a Mac user, I don't know if both preference files you need to delete are in that same library folder. You have to remove InDesign SavedData and InDesign Defaults. You might want to have a look at this article: Adobe InDesign CS4 * Setting preferences

Time Capsule disappears from device list when wireless is toggled

When I toggle wireless on and off, either via profile or Airport > Wireless, sometimes my base station disappears from the list of devices in Airport Utility:
Has anyone else seen this? My Time Capsule reappears after I close and reopen Airport Utility.

I may not be understanding what you mean but unless you have the TC connected via ethernet it will disappear when you turn airport off, it would come back up when you turn it on but it may take a few minutes.

The Bold, Italic, Underline functions have disappeared from the screen as have the check boxes at the beginning of the intro line

The bold, italic, underline, color hi-lite and other boxes in that line suddenly disappeared from the screen and that section remains blank. However when writing a new message if I mouse over the area the boxes re-appear but without their previous alliterations. Also the system does not allow me to color hi-lite text and shows all the colors in a very fuzzy format when I mouse over where the hi-lite box used to be. Additionally the check box at the front of the email subject line has also disappeared but, again, if I mouse over & click it will perform a delete or other function. Need help!

According to your description, there are two text boxes at the bottom of the tablix and both of them are outside the tablix. When you export the report to excel, the upper text box could not be displayed.
Microsoft Excel places limitations on exported reports due to the capabilities of Excel and its file formats. The following limitations apply to text boxes and text:
Text box values that are expressions are not converted to Excel formulas.
Text boxes are rendered within one Excel cell.
The text effect "Overline" is not supported in Excel.
Excel adds a default padding of approximately 3.75 points to the left and right sides of cells. If a text box’s padding settings are less than 3.75 points and is just barely wide enough to accommodate the text, the text may wrap in Excel.
To troubleshoot the problem, please make sure that the text box meet the limitations. In addition, please validate that visibility of the text box is set to true, it’s better to set CanGrow property of text box to false.
If the problem remain unresolved, i would appreciate it if you could give us detailed information about the report, I would be appreciated it if you could provide sample data and screenshot of the report. It will help us move more quickly toward a solution.
