Songs under my AppleID are linked to two different passwords

I have a new laptop that I have installed iTunes 10 on.  My music library has been imported to iTunes.  There are several songs that I purchased that: 1) won't sync with my iPod and 2) when I try to play in iTunes give me the message "this computer has not been authorized to play this song.". When I try to authorize, via the pop-up window, it will not accept my current AppleID password.  If I type in an older password, it accepts it,w but tells me that I already have 5 computers authorized.  Currently, per my AppleID and the iTunes store, I only show 1 authorized computer.
If I attempt to login to the iTunes store with my current AppleID and the older password, I receive the 'invalid login' message.  What can be done to deauthorize the computers that are lined to the older password so that I can authorize these purchased songs to sync?
John

I attempted to "Deauthorize All" but it looks like I've already done that in the past 12 months.  I still have the problem of having several purchased songs linked to my AppleID but to a different password.  When I try to play the songs in iTunes it tells me that it cannot play because the computer is not authorized.  I attempt to authorize with my current password and it returns as invalid.  When I use a previous password it tells me that I already have 5 computers authorized.
Anyo furtner suggestions on how to deauthorize the computers linked to the other password (same AppleID)?

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, or you don't have a backup, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

Hello, I want to perform a simple task.I have two Adobe ID accounts linked to two different email addresses. One account i do not want to use anymore but it is linked to my main email account. the account i do not want anymore is still in its free stage and i have not purchased anything with it. My other Adobe ID account is linked to an email i rarely use and don't particularly want to use. i have tried changing the linked email account to my regular one i use. But it obviously does not allow me because of it already being linked to my other non used obsolete Adobe ID account. Is there any solution to this?? Please help.

  • HT1918 is it possible to have two different password within one iTunes account?  one to log in with and a different one to use when making a purchase?

Is is possible to have two different passwords within itunes? one to log in with and a different one to make purchases with?

The system is not setup to provide that kind of sservice.  If making certain purchases it does ask for an answer to one of your security questions, so that provides a little more security for some purchases, just not all.

  • I'm tring to install two Daqcard700's in same computer running Win2000 and Nidaq6.9.2 and the cards are not given two different device numbers by the NIDAQ device configuration wizard.

One Daqcard 700 and one daqcard 16x-50e in same machine work fine but two Daqcard 700's are not assigned two diferrent device numbers by the device configuration wizard.

I have this same problem with the previously described observations.  I tried two Daqcard-700s in three different laptops, two with Windows XP and One with Windows 2000.  Tried all suggestions in Knowledgebase and Forum I could find with no luck.  Single cards work ok.  Removed and reinstalled drivers in Device Manager.  Tried the Windows 2000 patch for this problem.  Changed the PCMCIA adapters on the laptop to Generic Cardbus  Controller from one suggestion.  Running Labview 6.1 with Ni-Daq 6.9.3 and Max 3.1. Tried also Max 2.1.

  • I want to share iBooks with another family members iPad without purchasing twice. Devices are synced to two different computers.please advise.....

I want to share iBooks between mine and another family members iPad without purchasing the books twice. Is this possible?

If you have the same AppleID then just download on the second iPad by going to Purchases in the Bookstore.
If you are not using the same ID then you have to purchase again.

  • Are there still two different InfoViews?

Through BOE XI R2 there were two InfoViews: the "standard" InfoView and an SAP InfoView. Is that still the case? If it is, what is the URL for the SAP InfoView? We're currently using http://servername/InfoViewApp in an SAP BW environment.

I assume we talking about XI 3.1 here.
SAP authentication is configured ? SAP roles are imported ?
You do see the SAP specific prompting UI ?

  • Ipad 2 email address has been linked to two different ipads

OK so I had my first ipad 2, set it up yada yada... somehow it gets lost and sold. So I get a new one. I set the new one up with the same email account and everything. My mom then recieves a facetime call or whatever from an ipad with my email yet i was in the movie theatre!  Is it possible for the people who now have my 1st ipad to accidentally call my mom? I guess my question is can I delete my info from the 1st ipad without having it in hand? Will the wipe out method work eventhough the account belongs to 2 ipads now? I am SOOO very confused! Can someone help?

Simply disable all incoming methods of iMessages other then your phone number.
Settings > Messages > Send and Receive at > You may be reached at > Unselect your email addresses.
Now when your friends send you an iMessage they can only send it to your phone number.

  • I have to enter two different passwords to log in

I'm using OS X 10.9.5 on an iMac (late 2012) after restoring from a Time Machine backup because I didn't like Yosemite's aesthetic. It might also be worth mentioning that I use FileVault 2.
Anyway, I changed my root password from (let's call them) "p1" to "p2" recently, as in a week or two ago. For the past few days—I confess I don't remember exactly when it started—I've had to go through two separate startup screens to log into my computer. On the first startup screen, I am asked to enter p1. It should be noted that this is the only occasion where I have to remember p1. Then, there is a second login screen. On this one, I have to enter p2.
Can anyone tell me why I have to go through two login screens to use my iMac? Or, for that matter, why I'm still being required to remember p1, despite having changed my master password to p2 well over a week ago?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I can confirm that seduc is correct and that this is an issue cause by FileVault 2. I just finished decrypting my HDD, and I am now presented with only one login screen that—more importantly—asks for p2.
After restarting it, I am now re-encrypting my HDD and will update once it finishes.
EDIT: I did not have a chance to try out seduc's advice, as I had already hit the "Turn Off Filevault" button by the time I saw it, but I'm not quite sure that it would have been sufficient anyway, since I would have had to (or so I assume) disable a user as well; namely, my "old" account that still required p1.
Is it perhaps the case that the disk is encrypted according to the password that has been set? There were and are no other users on my computer; much less any users that would be using p1. So I'm wondering if p1 was the 'code' on which HDD encryption was based? Hopefully I'm making at least a little sense here.

  • Encrypt/decrypt same file with two different passwords

    Hi everyone:
I'm quite new to Java and cryptography in general and have a theoretical question. Is the following scenario possible and how would it be implemented:
Two users with two passwords (say, a regular user and a superuser) encrypt, decrypt, read from and write to the same file. The secret key for encryption and decryption should be based on their passwords (generated from their passwords), i.e. not stored anywhere on the system.
I've been racking my brains but can't think of a way. Am I missing an obvious solution?
    Can it be done?
    Thanks,
    Michael

I don't think you can avoid having more than just a password hash stored on the system. Using a combination of my approach and Jeff's approach I can implement this as long as you allow a password protected key store to be stored on each system. A given user's key store would contain his RSA private key and associated public key together with the admin user's RSA certificate (thought the admin user's public key could be stored in the program since it does not have to be kept private). The admin user's key store would contain only his RSA private and public keys.
Assume that the data file is to be create by a standard non-admin user. His code performs the following actions -
    1) Generates a random symmetric algorithm key. Say a 128 bit AES key.
    2) He write a digest of this to the output file.
    3) He writes the random key encrypted with his public key to the file.
    4) He writes his public key (or certificate) to the file.
    5) He writes the random key encrypted with the admin users public key to the file.
    6) He encrypts the data using the random key writes the result to the file.
This user can then update the file by
    1) reading from the file the digest of the random key.
    2) reading the random key encrypted with his public key.
    3) Decrypting this encrypted random key using his private key extracted from his keystore.
    4) Check the digest of this key to make sure he has the correct random key.
    5) skipping his certificate and the random key encrypted using the admin user's public key.
    5) Decrypting the data using the random key.
    6) Update the data.
    7) Re-encrypt the file as described in the first part using a new random key.
    The admin user can
    1) read from the file the digest of the random key.
    2) skip the random key encrypted using the user's public key.
    3) reading the user's public key from the file (for use later if the file needs to be updated).
    4) read the random key encrypted using the admin's public key.
    5) decrypting the random key using the admin's private key obtained from his key store.
    6) check the digest of the random key to make sure it is correct.
    7) decrypt the the data.
The admin can edit the data since he can re-encrypt the data in a similar manner to the way it was created in the first place.

  • BW linked to two ECC source systems

    Hi,
We are planning to create a sceneraio in whih our BW quality (client 350) will be linked to two different ECC clients (550 & 590).
Earlirer 350 was linked to 550 only.
Now the question is while transporting request from BW development (client 310) to BW Quality (350), will it ask the source system??
For which source sytem request will be transported, 550 or 590???
    Pls. clear the concept.
    Thanks in advance
    Shilpi Gupta

    Hi Shilpi,
It seems you are bit confused about the connection and the transport.Let me try to add some more points.
Your source system is ECCDEV (540) and the target source system is ECCQUALOTY (590) . Your BW Quality is 350.
BW quality is connected with two source system (590 and 550).
All your BW objects are source system independent other than Transfer rules. So whenver you transport any objects from BW development to Quality (like InfoObjects,InfoSource,InfoCube ,ODS,update rules etc) there is no problem with the source system connection. It just appears in your BW Quality .But your transfer rules is dependent on the source system. So when you transport the transfer rules, you need to make sure that which source system (Qty) should carry that changes i.e.transfer rule mappings.
So you need to maintain this settings in the above mentioned transaction code, even if you use only one source system.
Then only your transport changes will appear in your quality transfer rules.Even though your quality BW system is assigned to two source system ,only one system will carry that transfer rule mappings.Hence this mapping is required for any case.
You can change the mapping anytime (from 590 to 540) using this tcode to get the transfer rule mappings for the other system.
    Thanks.

  • Need suggestion for ISE distributed deployment model in two different data centers along with public certificate for HTTPS

    Hi Experts,
I am bit confused about ISE distributed deployment model .
I have two data centers one is DC & other one is as a DR I have  requirement of guest access service implementation using CWA and get public certificate for HTTPS to avoid certificate error on client devices :
how do i deploy ISE persona for HA in this two data centers
After reading cisco doc , understood that we can have two PAN ( Primary in DC  & Secondary in DR ) like wise for MnT (Monitoring will be as same as PAN ) however I can have 5 PSN running in secondary i.e. in DR ISE however I have confusion about HA for PSN .. since we have all PSN in secondary , it would not work for HA if it fails
Can anybody suggest me the best deployment solution for this scenario ?
Another doubt about public certificate :
Public Certificate: The ISE domain must be a registered or part of a registered domain name on the Internet. for that I need Domain name being used from customer .
Please do correct me if I am wrong about certificate understanding :
since Guest will be the outside users , we can not use certificate from internal CA , we need to get the certificate from service provider and install the same in both the ISE servers
Can anybody explain the procedure to opt the public certificate for HTTPS from service provider ? And how do i install it in both the ISE servers ?

Hi there. Let me try answering your questions:
PSN HA: The PSNs are not configured as "primary" or "secondary" inside your ISE deployment. They are just PSN nodes as far as ISE is concerned. Instead, inside your NADs (In your case WLCs) you can specify which PSN is primary, which one is secondary, etc. You can accomplish this by:
    1. Defining all PSN nodes as AAA radius servers inside the WLC
    2. Then under the SSID > AAA Servers Tab, you can list the AAA servers in the order that you prefer. As a result, the WLC will always use the first server listed until that server fails/gets reloaded, etc.
    3. As a result, you can have one WLC or SSID prefer PSN server A (located in primary DC) while a second WLC or SSID prefer PSN server B (located in backup DC)
Last but not the least, you could also place PSNs behind a load balancer and that way the traffic would be equally distributed between multiple PSNs. However, the PSN nodes must be Layer 2 adjacent, which is probably not the case if they are located in two different Data Centers
Certificates: Yes, you would want to get a public certificate to service the guest portal. Getting a public/well known certificate would ensure that most devices out there would trust the CA that signed your ISE certificate. For instance, VeriSign, GoDaddy, Entrust are some of the ones out there that would work just fine. On the other hand, if you use a certificate that was signed by your internal CA, then things would be fine for your internal endpoints that trust your internal CA but for any outsiders (Guests, contractors, etc) that do not trust and do not know who your internal CA is would get a certificate error when being redirected to the ISE guest portal. This in general is only a "cosmetic" issue and if the users click "continue" and add your CA as a trusted authority, the guest page would load and the session would work. However, most users out there would not feel safe to proceed and you will most likely get a lot of calls to your helpdesk :)
    I hope this helps!

  • Paradox? Two different apple ID, same e-mail.

    Hi all,
just to add my experience with multiple apple IDs. Recently i've noticed that i'm unable to receive iCal shared calendar from other icloud users, no matter if they are using a full iCloud account or an apple ID based on a third party provider. So i started investigating and here is my situation. I've two apple IDs:
one is with login (names are just for example), "paradox" and have for primary e-mail "[email protected]" the second have login "[email protected]" and since this one was created for icloud have "[email protected]" as primary e-mail.
So that means that... when i sign up with "paradox" from my iOS devices, i can receive iMessages and all the rest, both on my phone number AND at "[email protected]". BUT... "[email protected]" is also ANOTHER DIFFERENT apple ID at the same time. So... when somebody send me an iMessage or a calendar event, what will do the apple server? Will it try to deliver the content to both the apple ID? I tryied also to change the primary e-mail of "paradox" to an alias created on the "[email protected]" icloud account, but using alias is not allowed.
For absurd, if i try to manage my apple ID "paradox" from the apple ID account page, it propose me to change my ID to an e-mail address and of course it propose me "[email protected]" (which is the second account...) but since that is impossible to do, if i click on the button, nothing happens. I have no error in return, no nothing. Of course i don't want to create a gmail account just for handling this mess, but i think that this kind of intricated situation should be handled with some option like merging or whatever... I have an appointment with the online support anyway to show them this... paradox.

I've done some test with the technician and what we figured out is that i can receive calendar events only on the e-mail address i registered when i've created my mac.com account. After the introduction of mobileme and the ability to sign up also with a me.com domain i though that both e-mails, despite you were using me.com or mac.com were the same. But they are not. If you originally signed as mac.com for that account, there you can receive calendar event, otherwise they will arrive as attachment if you use another domain introduced later. Well that's my case which i bet it will not the case for somebody else. It's like me.com is just an alias for my mac.com original address account.
As i told before there is another thing that make me think that behind all, icloud is a mess: the fact that i've two apple IDs and they have different options for the security page. One has three question (my first old iTunes one)
but the one i created when i subscribed .Mac has just one question.
So: are they running two different "versions" for handling the apple IDs accounts? isn't an account supposed to be upgraded when you add more security options? I find all this absurd!
