Have you made sure songs and music are configured to sync to your device?

I can't see the songs in my iTunes. These songs were synced from my iPod classic before the i tunes updates.
I would suggest as this is not Apple software you are using, you might want to look here.

So I updated my Ipod touch to the newest software on my pc laptop which is windows 7. The software update wiped all of my songs and apps off of my Ipod. This is not that big of a deal because the songs and apps are still in my library and apps folder in itunes on my computer. The problem is, when I go to sync all my songs and apps back onto my ipod the tracks and apps are not syncing. It's almost as if the computer thinks all the songs are still already on the ipod but they are not. What do I do here?
- Try resetting the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next, restore from backup. -
Can I transfer the contents of one pod to another. The songs were imported from CD's; they were not purchased at the itunes store. Basically I am asking if I can transfer to a new ipod.
Thanks. Not all the songs on my old ipod are on my computer at home. But I'll transfer what I can from my home computer; and then bring the new ipod into work and transfer the rest of the music. So simple I should have thought of it!

I want to import songs frm my Ipod to my itunes library. Songs were ripped from CDs to the ipod not purchased from itunes store...how can this be done?
You would have to let itunes rip the songs from the cd's, or you would have to copy the music from the computer which ripped cd's.
iTunes does not support transferring music from the ipod unless it was purchased from the store. -
How do I get old purchused songs that were deleated from my account and my liberary?
How do I get old purchused songs that were deleated from my account and my liberary?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
You buy one and only one download. It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music. -
The e-mail address that I used to add songs to my ipod in iTunes no longer exists. Most of the 2,600 songs were downloaded from CD's. Is there a way to access the itunes account?
Only downloads from iTunes will be tied to that iTunes account, unless you subscribed to iTunes Match and uploaded the other songs from your computer to it. If you can't remember the account's password then you could try seeing if you can get reset via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
If that doesn't work then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
When you've got access to the account you can update the primary email address on it to be one that you still have access to : http://appleid.apple.com
If you don't have the music that wasn't downloaded from iTunes on a backup then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from your iPod : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 -
??deleting songs from video ipod??
im new to ipod and i already messed up...i didnt know when i connected my ipod to the computer it automatically started getting songs on it...now i went ahead and let it because i thought it was okay but now i have like none of my songs...so how do i DELETE ALL SONGS ON IT WITHOUT THE AC CORD to do a restore??(it didnt come with one)
Welcome to Apple Discussions!
You don't need the AC Adapter to restore a 5G iPod as it didn't come with one.
You can just uncheck the songs you don't want on your iPod (in iTunes). Then connect your iPod to your computer. When it appears in iTunes go to edit-->preferences. Click the iPod tab, and then the music tab under that. Check Only Update Checked Songs and click OK. All unchecked songs in your iTunes library will be deleted from your iPod.
Here are a a few other options...

I have Itunes on my PC with close to 1000 songs. The songs were also on my Ipod. I connected my Ipad2 and blew away all of my music. Can the music be retrieved and if so how can i do it? tks
Sure it can, transfer the songs from your backup that you maintained on an external drive,DVDs,cloud storage solution.
You didn't have a backup?
If you purchased them from iTunes, plug in your iPod-once it mounts in iTunes right click on the iPod icon and select transfer purchases.
If they were not purchased from iTunes-google is your friend.
PS.
If files are important to you-always have multiple copies on separate media. -

I just got my computer (Windows XP) fixed and my songs were gone on my ipod
I just got my computer (Windows XP) fixed and my songs were gone on my ipod. I had about 100 songs on my ITUNES and now i have none, and when i plugged my ipod in all the songs were gone too. This might sound complicated, but please answer if you can!
So, did you connect the iPod to an empty iTunes library?
If so, the chances are you allowed it to sync with this empty iTunes and so deleted the songs from your iPod.
If you did and you have no back up of the songs anyplace else, then they're gone. -
I synced (updated) my iphone to itunes and some songs were deleted from my iphone playlist on my phone. On the computer, a circle is next to the song and the title faded out. What the heck is that all about and how do I get my songs back onto my phone playlist? Never happened before. My software is up to date?

i have about 800 more songs on my nano than itunes, due to a crash. How can I get the songs onto itunes from the ipod, or at least get the new music ive gotten since the crash onto my ipod without deleting all the other songs when it syncs?

If you have failed to bakup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -
Is there a way to transfer music FROM my iPod TO my computer / online music library? I have almost songs on my iPod but less than 500 on my computer / iTunes / online library.

When I upgraded the software on my ipod touch4, many podcasts were deleted from itunes. Of course, when I synced the ipod, they were deleted from the ipod as well. Apparently the current version of itunes will not let me go back to these earlier episodes (just a few months), in a podcast that I have been subscribed to, and re-download them. Is there a way to do that? and, how can I prevent this from happening again?
Hey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!
