Songs wont go onto my ipod

whenever i put my ipod on the computer 2 download the songs onto it, the songs never go onto it! a message popped up and it said somthin about my itunes mixing with the itunes library and i clicked do not ask me again! PLZ heip me get songs onto my ipod!!!!!!!♥♥♥♥♥

You really need to post the EXACT error message before anyone can tell what might be happening.
Also, please post what type of iPod you have & what version of iTunes you are currently using. The more SPECIFIC information you post, the better chance you have that someone can help.

Song Wonts Load Onto ipod

PLEASE HELP! I have a lot of new songs, and they wont load onto my ipod. I have the new version of itunes, lots of memory space, and it said i had to restore my ipod, so i clicked restore. It took the songs off my ipod, but not off of itunes. It says i have a "corrupted ipod", or something like that. Yeah, the songs play fine on itunes, but they wont load onto my ipod. Songs wont copy onto ipod

i have a 2nd generation 4 GB ipod nano, i recently added more songs to the playlist and am now upto 616 songs, but not all the new songs will copy onto my ipod. for example there are 3 songs by The Clash on the playlist but only one ever transfers to my ipod, i have restarted my ipod and this didnt help... what is wrong?

Is there anything different about those that do and do not sync? Such as when you optained them, the formate if they are age rated

I can't copy purchased songs from iTunes onto my iPod on my new computer.

I have an HP Pavilion zd7000 notebook computer. It's used. It was given to me by a family member. I put my iPod software onto it. I can purchase songs from iTunes, and I can connect my iPod and play the music. However, when I tried to put a purchased song from iTunes onto my iPod, I was told that I wasn't allowed. Is there some sort of security thing I don't know about?

Are you sure your computer is authorized for this? This is probably your issue.
If you go to the "Advanced" tab on the top in iTunes, is there a "Deauthorize computer..." button or an "Authorize computer..." button? If there's an "authorize computer" link, then that is your issue. Authorize your computer, and you should be able to transfer iTMS purchased songs from iTunes to iPod.

Not only this but I can't drag from Itunes and place anywhere on my desktop or onto an external drive. Apple, why are you screwing around with basic functions!? I'm a dj and I need to be able to manage my music files without you ruining my life! FIX THIS!

I bought two songs off itunes and they wont sync onto my ipod touch but they did sync onto my ipod classic. I have tried all troubleshooting ideas to get the songs to sync on my ipod toch but nothing works. :(

The songs need to be in the playlist(s) that go onto the ipod touch.
Plug the ipod touch into the computer and go to the music section of it from the devices menu. From here make sure that the playlist(s) that go on to this ipod are the ones that have the new songs.
Once this is done, click sync/apply.

Downloaded songs wont go onto ipod

I have downloaded some songs from itunes and they are in my library but when I have completely updated my ipod some songs, generally downloaded ones, dont go onto my ipod.
I have the settings so that all songs are downloaded automatically.

Thanks for the suggestion. Of the six iPods I own, I don't recall ever having to update the iPod's software just to sync to iTunes. iTunes 5 must be a little fussier than the previous versions

Why my songs wont appear in my ipod classic after dragging them in from my macbook?

I have a very old ipod classic. After i connect it to my macbook (bought in april 2013), it detects. iTunes detects too. I dragged some songs and dropped into my ipod but after that it did not appear in the ipod. Kindly advise.

It sounds like you are trying to manually manage the content on your iPod. I would suggest reading over the attached article to confirm all of your sync settings and steps are correct.

After following the steps above, you can add individual songs, videos, and playlists from iTunes to your device. To add content to your device:
Select your device.
Click "On this Device."
Then choose "Add to" in the upper right corner.
While viewing the media in your iTunes library, if you drag a song, video, TV show, or Movie a sidebar will appear on the right. You can drag content onto the device. You can also create and modify playlists directly on the device.
You must import songs into iTunes before you can add them to your device. You can drag media files onto the iPod or iPad in iTunes to add them to the device without adding them to the iTunes library.
When manually managing content, you can add content from multiple libraries to your iPod or iPad. Even when manually managing music, some content may be available from only one library at time. This includes all content on iPhone and video content on iPod and iPad.

I just updated my Ipod touch to the newest software and now I can not get any of my songs to sync onto my Ipod. All of my songs were wiped from my Ipod but are still in my library and playlists on my computer, but when I click sync none of it works

So I updated my Ipod touch to the newest software on my pc laptop which is windows 7. The software update wiped all of my songs and apps off of my Ipod. This is not that big of a deal because the songs and apps are still in my library and apps folder in itunes on my computer. The problem is, when I go to sync all my songs and apps back onto my ipod the tracks and apps are not syncing. It's almost as if the computer thinks all the songs are still already on the ipod but they are not. What do I do here?

My songs wont update to my ipod?

When I try to update songs onto my ipod, it gives me some message like "Attempting to copy to the disk has failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.", yet i have no disk in my drives.
I have tried restoring my ipod, but that hasn't helped. I have taken the shuffle out and put it back, as have I moved the cord to vaarious ports. Nothing to far has worked, so I'm asuming that it has to do with the message.
Also, when the songs are done being updated, if they make it that far before the message pops up, a little gray dot is between the song number and the title on itunes. Im concerned that these dots should not be here.
Is there anything I can do?

Yes.
How you delete content from your iPod depends on how it is set up to receive content from your iTunes library whether that be via automatic syncing or manual management.
For automatic syncing, you must reconfigure your settings so that the album/tracks/content you wish to remove is no longer configured to sync to your iPod. For example, if the Sync only checked songs and videos option is enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab, make sure all the tracks for this album do NOT have a tick mark next to them in your iPod. Then resync your iPod with iTunes.
If that isn't the case, you'll want to look at the iPod's Music configuration tab. You can access this tab by selecting your iPod under Devices. This should bring you to the Summary tab over to the right. Look for the Music tab along the top and select it. Here you can configure how and what music syncs to your device. If you make any changes to this tab, be sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to sync the updated changes to your device.
Otherwise, if you manually manage your iPod's contents, you must manually remove content from it. You can do this by plugging your iPod in and clicking the small black triangle next to your iPod from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will open up a submenu of content that is indented underneath the name of your device, so go ahead and click on Music (or whatever content you are wanting to remove). Locate the track or tracks/content you wish to delete. Highlight them and hit the Delete key or choose Edit -> Delete.

Getting New Songs to Download Onto My iPod from iTunes

Ok, my computer crashed and I had to download iTunes onto my new one. On my old computer, whenever I added new cds into my iTunes library, all I had to do was plug my iPod into the computer and they would automatically download onto my iPod. On my new computer they aren't and I'm not sure how to get them on there. Any suggestions?

I plug in my iPod and nothing happens when it normally would update automatically. My friend told me to try pressing the "sync" button under the file menu but that doesnt do anything either. It says "Updating iPod. Do not diconnect" at the top, but it doesnt update anything. I had all my syuff set up on another computer that crashed. I installed iTunes on my new computer and nothing has been the same since. I was able to put all the music off my iPod into the iTunes library thanks to someone on this board. But any new cds or songs I buy won't transfer from the library onto the iPod. Its very frustrating. Basically, I plug in my iPod and NOTHING happens. Thats the problem.
