Sonnox plug-ins for Pro Tools / Audio restoration
Is anyone using the Sonnox plug-ins for Pro Tools for audio restoration? If so, what is your opinion?
Welcome to the world of Logic !
I would recommend the M-Tron Pro and VSE both from G force for strings , flutes , etc. http://www.gforcesoftware.com/index.php
And Maybe some very simple less polished sounding sample libraries for bass and drums which you could load right into the esx-24 sampler in logic ,but I can't recommend any since A: thats not my style so I don't know the names of some I've heard and B: Sample libraries are a very personal choice.
I would recommend that if it looks flashy it's probably not going to produce than salt of the earth sound your after though .

How can I add my software in Adobe's Third-party plug-ins for Adobe Premiere Pro ?
Hi,
Our company have a software called Moyea Importer for Adobe Premiere.
Moyea Importer for Adobe Premiere is a recommended FLV, MPG, RMVB, HD video import plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro. This plug-in enables users to import FLV videos with various codec like AVC/H.264, AAC, Screen Video, Nellymoser, MP3, PCM, and Sorenson H.263. Besides FLV video, the plug-in allows AVCHD import and HD video import in MTS, M2TS, TP, TS, and MKV formats.
Moyea Importer for Adobe Premiere do not convert your video so it keeps video quality for you. The plug-in automatically detects the Adobe Premiere versions on your machine and you can choose the versions to install the plug-in. It currently supports Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0/1.5/2.0/CS3/CS4 and Elements 3.0/4.0/7.0/8.0.
I notice in Third-party plug-ins for Adobe Premiere Pro this part, Adobe didn't get any such plug-ins. They only have two file support plug-ins and Moyea Importer can fill the blank.
Now I want to submit this software on Adobe's site but I don't know where to submit or who I should to contact. Any suggestions? I really need your help and I am sure it is really good software.Any suggestion? Admin of this board? Who can help me

Final Cut Pro similar plug-ins for iMovie?
I'd like some more functions for my current movie editing software (iMoive '09), are there any plug-ins for imovie that have FCP features? Features like multicam, screen on screen, split screen , green screen, after effects, hd camera support, etc....
I would just buy FCPX (maybe in the future, but not now) but I don't want to pay $300 + tax for an app with physical disk and packaging that I end up not liking, and I also don't have a credit card for the Mac App Store version. I would try torrenting it but I've heard some rumors of it crashing the whole computer, phising and what not. I'd rather take my chances with iMovie plug-ins than a pirated copy of FCPX.
I wish there was a cheaper version like how Autodesk does their whole express and pro versions (Sketchbook Express/Pro, AutoCad Express/Pro), I am aware that at one point there was a FCP Express that's now discontinued....burningottsel wrote:

I appreciate that you don't have a credit card to use on the Mac App Store, but iMovie '11 is available for the paltry sum of US$14.99 - this latest version has some of the effects you are seeking, such as Picture in Picture, Side by Side and Green Screen. iMovie '09 may also have some of these features (I can't recall, as I've been using iMovie '11 for some time now).
Both iMovie '09 and '11 support HD cameras and a range of formats. If a format is not supported, it is relatively easy to convert clips to a suitable editing format for iMovie.
In Australia, cards (such as Visa) are available for a nominal value from the local supermarket. These can be safely used for internet purchases, given their specific value. So, you purchase a card for pretty much the exact value you require, make your purchase then destroy the card. I guess a similar thing is available in the US and other countries. That may be a good option for you if you wish to purchase apps from the Mac App Store.

Hi all.
I've just bought the following gear for a small home recording setup: MacBook Pro 2.44mhz, LE9, TC Electronic Impact Twin, SE Electronic 2200A Mic, M-audio midi keyboard.
The music I'm doing is minimalistic folk or something like it.
Currently i'm using the plug-ins that comes with LE9, but my question is: what would be great plug-ins for my style of music? I'm going to use it mainly for Keys, strings, flutes, drums and bass. I would really like plug-ins that sounds organic, is there something like that out there? And what about free plug-ins, where do I find these?
I'm going to link to my music so that you guys can get a sense of the style, the music on myspace is recorded in a traditional fashion though.

From Wes and Harry:
October 28, 2011
If you missed our mail last month you should check it out as it got a lot of people talking. Today we have a follow-up.
Our web site has relaunched* and while the overall look of the site is similar there is a dramatic difference in how we are distributing our plug-ins.
Starting today Pro Import AE, Pro Import FCP and Pro Export FCP (both versions, for FCP7 and FCPX) are available at no charge. You read this right. Free.
We are unable to provide support at the same level as we have over the years, but we didn't want these plug-ins to go away while they remain useful. So if you can make use of these plug-ins in your projects, enjoy!
Thank you to all of our users, working with you for the last 10 1/2 years was a truly wonderful experience.
- Wes and HarryI don't have anything to add to my original reply - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1433512. Which bit didn't you understand? And no, you don't need a folder for kaleidoscopes - you just put it in the filters folder as I originally told you.
And here's a kaleidoscoped sunflower

While I personally still don't have any need for Translucator
(I must
admit the name made me laugh badly) so I didn't test it, I
think
Background Remover is quite capable. I was unable to achive
good results
using it only on a couple of test images out of quite a large
set, but I
must admit I wasn't able to do any better with hand masking
using brush,
so I can't blame the plugin. Taking into account very basic
bitmap masking
capabilities of FW, I think it's a great addon, and
considering the price
for most competitors, it's clearly the best.
That's the end of our scientists report ;-)

Missing extensions/plug-ins for Safari.
So, I recently had a virus/malware scare and to take care of it (which I did) I got rid of all extensions/plug ins for Safari.
I've currently only got Adobe Flash Player, and nothing else which is really hindering me. I've looked all over but I can't find out what the plug-ins or extensions I need are.
The most recent issue was something about Audio Midi when I couldn't play an audio thing online while looking for guitar chords stuff.
After that gave it a shot by asking Apple, but the closest Apple store is too far to be worth driving to and I can't afford $50 or however much it is to get the info/links/whatever I need. There's no need to install Safari extensions if you don't wan to, however, there might want to check out the extensions gallery. You may find something useful.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Safari Extensions ...
To avoid malware, open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
Make sure: Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed. -
so a few have suggested a couple free plug ins for the garbage point masks, and i do apreciate it, this question is in regards to free plugins in general.. how safe are they and the sites there found on? what are the chances ill ruin my new mac by putting them on my system, sorry to ask so much but im just trying to learn as i go,
thanks in advance
Brucey BizzitMany of the posters here author them -- some without cost and some sold.
Are the sites safe? From what?
Never heard of a plug in for FCP ruining a computer. If they don't work or cause issues, just trash them

Microsoft HD Photo Plug-ins for Photoshop are Released
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hd_Photo
"HD Photo has been announced by Microsoft and the Joint Photographic Experts Group to be under consideration for a JPEG standard, tentatively titled JPEG XR.
"The HD Photo bitstream specification claims that "HD Photo offers image quality comparable to JPEG-2000 with computational and memory performance more closely comparable to JPEG", that it "delivers a lossy compressed image of better perceptive quality than JPEG at less than half the file size", and that "lossless compressed images are typically 2.5 times smaller than the original uncompressed data".

"HD Photo plug-ins for Adobe® Photoshop® CS2 and CS3 have been officially released for both Windows and OSX. They're available now from the Microsoft Download Center. [Links on this webpage]
"The Windows version is supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista, and works with Photoshop CS2 and CS3. While not officially supported, it will also work with limited features with older versions of Photoshop and with Photoshop Elements. The included README file has details.
For PSE6, I installed it to
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\Plug-Ins\HD Photo Plugin for Adobe Photoshop\
It works properly, as far as I can tell, for both Opening and Saving.
File size and processing speed seem consistent with the claims for the format. On Sun, 3 Feb 2008 15:38:40 -0800, [email protected] wrote in

Regular JPEG is capable of high definition (size) images.
The "HD" in "HD Photo" is a reference to the fact that the bit depth can
greatly exceed the 8-bit limitation of regular JPEG. That's primarily
of value in high-quality photo editing, and for archiving originals.

DVD player upconversion is no better than the upconversion built-in to
any decent HD TV; i.e., it's mostly just marketing hype.

Please post your recommendations for plug-ins for FInal Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro and Motion).
film leaders clips can be downloaded online if you dig around a bit ... Peter Wiggins has a nice Motion Template clock he offers for free (which is a bargain by anyones reckoning)
easy enough to create your own film leader style countdown with a few back to back text generators separated by clock wipe transitions
color bars can already found in your fcp video generators bin
color bars and a film leader style countdown can also be auto generated during output (print to video and edit to tape)
distort faces and license plate like they do on tv? ... ok i give up, what do you mean? if you mean you want to disguise them (Mosaic, Blur etc) then you can have a bash with my Region Blur plugin

Can anyone recommend plug-ins for vocals?
Can anyone recommend plug-ins for vocals? I'm looking for an average "radio" sound. How can I get that?
Thanks
Anya
imac 20 inch 2 gig Ram Mac OS X (10.4.7) apogee + miroslav + looking for great midi controlerwell
Let's start again:
I use imac and ensemble by apogee as my audio
interface with and rode ntk microphone. that should
give me a preatty decent sound, but it comes out
kinda hollow and unnatural.
Hi AnyaS,
It seems like the room you are in might be adding it's "sound" and making your vocal sound like it is going through a tunnel,or "hollow" sounding.
Where are you doing your vocal recording? When you sing,do you hear your voice come back at you funny, like from a wall,or like you hear a faint "echo" or repeat in the room?
I could help you,but without actually listening what you are talking about it is almost impossible to know what problems you might be encountering, and also if you can point to a reference CD or artist that you are trying to sound like,I can't really give you concise advise as to what to do to get you there.Do you have any way of showing us some of the sound you are getting so we can listen to it? That can help a lot more than describing in words what you are not liking about your voacl sound.Again a lot of this is subjective use of language,so when you say "hollow sound" it could mean something else to me.
And as to the radio quality - I mean sound more round
and defined - someting that I could send to radio
and/or AR.
Well,I think you are putting the cart ahead of the horse here...try to get your sound "there" to where you like it first, before trying to be judged by "radio and A&R" people.
I am not sure how I can improve:
- better/additional hardware or
- better mastering/playing with software (I have IK
studio bundle - that I have only utilized so far as
sound source).
I am willing to spend additional $1000 if needed but
rather not.
I think you do not need to throw money at the problem...that never usually works. It is better to understand what sound you want to get first, and then try to get there.
I'll listen to what you have posted, but if you can have a link to a vocal without ANY processing,i.e. as you record it in your usual place, that would help more than a full mix of your music.I can tell easier what to do if your vocal is by itself.
you can listen to working draft here:
www.broadjam.com/aannaa
sorry I don't know how to create a link here.
Thank you for your help.

Looking for good "Lower Third" plug ins for Final Cut
Does anybody have any sources for good "Lower Third" plug-ins for Final Cut Studio?
Why deny yourself the joy and pleasure to create your own,
It is far easier and faster than it may sound. Use a combination of applications like Motion, FCP, AE, Photoshop etc.
Use the tools don't make them use you. Manuals, the forums and a few selected tutorials can help you if you feel not confident with any of the software mentioned, but if you are passioned enough there's nothing more rewarding that learning while nurturing your creativity.
Just thought you may want to consider that as an option,

How do I get administrative priveleges to install optional plug-ins for cs5
how do I get administrative priveleges to install optional plug-ins for cs5 and or how to install these optional plugins thanks
To add to Mylenium's reply, here's how to do it on Windows and this is what microsoft website says:
Why do I have to be an administrator to install a program?
Only administrators can make changes that will affect everyone who uses the computer, such as installing software and hardware and changing security settings.
If the program you are trying to install or run says you must have administrator rights, but you are already an administrator on the computer, right-click the installation icon for the program, and then click Run as administrator. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If the program installs but does not run, right-click the program icon, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program as an administrator check box, and then try to run the program. -
