[Sonos] unable to play one particular album - "True" by Avicii through Sonos

New member here - with a problem. Apologies for starting like this!
An odd one this, but there is one (newish) album that I can't play on Sonos through Spotify; Avicii's "True".
The Sonos app says "Cannot play [song] .... Lost connection to Spotify"
I can play the album through Spotify on PC, mobile, iPad etc. Just not through Sonos.....
I can play everything else through Spotify on Sonos.
I know I'm not alone in this problem from this Sonos forum thread:

Are you searching for the tracks when this happens or are they in a playlist?
If you are searching for them and they won't play, on your desktop client try following the TRUE playlist and then see if you can play that playlist via Sonos.

So i've found the answer to this by clicking on every menu and setting in the itunes store. It turns out some purchases in the cloud can be hidden probably as the result of an interrupted transfer/sync/backup or a network outage. To unhide purchases 'greyed out ' items , go to the Itunes store (on the PC) click on your account name and select view account. (you'll be prompted for your itunes password) once you are in scroll down to the purchase history section. there should be an option for hidden purchases. click through and click on unhide purchases, redownloadble purchases. any hidden purchases will then show up. click on unhide to reactivate and download. This may only work for purchases in the cloud.

If just one song on an album is doing that, that suggests the track is damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Can't play one particular long video

I can't seem to play one particular video on my iPod. When I press the center button, the screen turns all black, ready to play the video, but then it just freezes for a few seconds and goes back to the movie menu.
This video is approximately 1 hour long and I encoded it with SUPER (from eRightSoft). I've had no problems with the other videos I've encoded with Super.
Could someone please help me out?

make sure its mp4 format. does it play in itunes? try to reconvert it from the original file it you still have it.

ITunes 6.0.4 won't play one particular song

I downloaded a song from iTunes and it play when I launch it from the Source "Purchased", but when I try to launch it from the Source "Library", the same song won't play.
So far, it only affects one particular song.
Any suggestions?

Here is another fly in the ointment.
When I take the one purchased song and put it into another playlist, the song plays fine. I just can't play it when I have the Library as the source.
Kinda strange..............
I threw out all of the old Library files just to make sure there wasn't any confusion.
Hmmmmmmmmm....

Can't buy one particular album - Help!

ITunes Music Store customer service has sent me a boilerplate email that clearly didn't result from even reading my plea, so in my frustration, I am asking for advice and help from the discussion board community...
Please help me test this problem and prove conclusively that it is an iTMS problem...
I cannot purchase one specific album, "The Disney Songbook" by Jim Brickman. Clicking the "Buy Album" button results in a 5002 error,
Cannot purchase "Unknown". An unknown error occurred (5002).
There was an error in the Music Store. Please try again later.
This happens with iTunes 5 and 6, on multiple computers (all Macs) and multiple accounts. I can buy other albums and tracks, but not this one album.
Help me! You don't need to buy the album to see this issue -- IF YOU HAVE NEVER CHECKED THE "Don't warn me about buying tracks again" box when buying something. If you have never checked that box, and get a warning before buying anything, please help me by going to the album (link provided below), clicking once on "Buy Album." If you get the error, please post a confirmation to this thread. If it says instead "Are you sure you want to purchase this album" instead, please click 'Cancel' and post your results, as well.

I'm glad to know I'm not the one going crazy. I tried to download the exact same album about 5 days ago. I sent Apple an email explaining the situation. I STILL (five days later) have not received a response. I've tried downloading it from 3 different computers, all with the same 5002 error.
I just dowloaded iTunes 6.01... hoping that it would fix the problem. Not to be.
I understand that I could download the songs one at a time, but then I'm paying more that the 9.99 value of the album.
WHERE is Apple's customer service. Just finding the email address was a nightmare in itself.

How to play one specific album at a time from the Artist tab.

In regards to 5th gen iPod Touches: I'm wondering if I can play just one album at a time (not all the songs by an artist) via the Artist tab. The only way I have found to do this is Artist>Click on a song in the album I want to listen to (At this point, ALL songs from the artist will be selected for playing)>Click on the album's song listing on the top right>click on another song in the album. This is very inconvenient and was not at all like this on my older iPod Touch. Any help would be great!

No, the "!" in front of the songs in iTunes indicate that iTunes has lost the link for the files on your hard drive. I would suggest you try to play some of the songs in iTunes. You should get the error about iTunes not being able to find the file, then a message about wanting to locate the file. Say yes about locating the file & see if you can find them on your Mac's hard drive.

I want to play one gapless album and have the Ipod turn off. When I download my audiobooks as a compilation does that automate going from one gapless album to the next?

I created a gapless album by joining the tracks on a disc in a multiple disc audiobook. I want my classic Ipod to turn off after it finishes an album but it continues on to the next disc (album) in the audiobook automatically. When it finishes the multiple discs contained in the compilation of one album it continues to the next audiobook. This is great when listening to the audiobook in a car while driving, but not when I use the Ipod to put me to sleep at night. Why does it do this?

Did you put the library on the external drive, or just the media folder. See this migrate iTunes library post for the way this ought to be done and recovery tips for when it is no longer possible.

IMessage problems. (Unable to iMessage one particular person..?)

Hello, I am new to the apple community and didn't know where to post this. However this question is regarding my iPhone 4S which i recently purchased. Basically me and a specific friend (which has asked for any of her details to not be given out) are having problems iMessaging (She has iPhone 4 whic she purchased a day before me. We have no problem iMessaging anyone else with an iPhone however to each other it does not work. On her phone the bubbles are still green despite the fact that we both have wifi on and iMessage on yet on mine it will be blue and say delivered but she doesnt recieve anything? However what I have noticed is that on her phone she has no other options such as the 'Send Read Receipts', 'Sent as SMS' or the 'Receive at' which from what ive tested with on my other iPhone friends do have so at first i thought that would be the problem but it can't be because like I said she has no difficulty messaging anyone else with an iPhone. (Same with FaceTime which i figured wouldnt work because they work the same way..I think?) I've tried everything and somehow it still doesnt work? Someone please help as its really starting to bug me because it keeps making me think that there is a fault in my phone. Thanks Kind Regards.

Hi randers4, thankyou for your reply but thing is she does have it on because she iMessages a friend daily and it works for them and same with me just not each other. When I have it on also it will say its delivered but she will not receive anything but her SMS still come through. If i didnt have wifi on it would fall back on SMS but seen as i do it says delivered yet she still doesnt receive it. And we have both updated to iOS 5.1. So we can't figure out who the one with the problem is. She says it is mine however I have a feeling it is hers but I don't know hence why I came here. Thanks Kind Regards.

ITunes is playing one song on some albums and stops

I am using iTunes 8, but this problem is persisting since last Christmas. I click on an album to play, in particular a Christmas album, and it plays one song and then it stops. All of the settings are such that it should play the entire album the whole way through.
Also, I have a Christmas playlist. When I shuffle it, it suddenly gets stuck on one album and shuffles that indefinitely, ignoring the other albums and music.
Can someone please help? This doesn't seem to affect other non-Christmas music.

Make sure that all tracks have a checkmark in front of them. Also...when using Shuffle, make sure the tracks are not set to Skip When Shuffling (under Get Info).

How to split the particle analysis report in order to extract one particular information(for eg. orientation)??)

hi .. i need to extract the orientation and centroid information from the particle analysis report (image processing is done in NI Vision and then converted to labview vi) for further processing. However once processing is done in Vision ,after converting to labview vi the particle analysis report comes as 1D array of size 1 and thus am unable to extract one particular information from the report. Unable to Play On-Line Games

I've been having trouble playing online games on my new Imac. For example I play one particular game on candystand.com called Bullpen Blast. First when I try going to the site of the particular game it asks me to download a particular software (Abode Media Player). I did it. After doing this the game still does not load. I've been experiencing this with other online games. I do understand that many games do not work on Apple Computers but I thought online games are suppose to work.

If you want to try to make it work with Safari, there are a few things that may help.
You can reset Safari, which is a command under the Safari menu.
For odd issues, it sometimes helps to remove the Safari user preference file to let a fresh one be created. It is located here; drag it to your Desktop.
<user home folder>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Online games probably use Flash, so you can try going to Adobe.com and downloading/installing the latest Flash.
