SONY ERICSSON DOESNT SUPPORT MAC

Its REALLY unbelievable. Since i was a child i used to buy all the time SE mobile phones.
BUT now it is the last time! I recently bought an iMAC and i tried to tranfer a MOVIE from my MAC to the phone with Media Sync software. (It is the MEdia GO but for the MAC)
It's impossible   There is no way to do this. I spent too many hours searching for solution online, reading forums and blogs and i realize that it's waste of time.
The software that SE develope for MAC is really bad. I really don't know why they are treating the customers like this. There are some customers (LIKE ME) that are not using iphone (YET) , and they want to do stuff with the MAC. I was using the MEDIA GO , in a PC before buying  the MAC. It was working properly. BUT in my MAC not   I know how to tranfer Music and Pictures and bla bla bla with Bluetooth. I am NOT talking about this. I am talking for the converter that is not working in the SE app for the MAC. And if you see the manual that it is supposed to help, is so stupid. No info , no help.
AND YES , my next mobile will be an iphone , because everything simple works. (And it is not my choice, it is SE choice!)
Alex

Hey There.
Thanks for the reply
The model is w995 and my mobile is working absolutely fine with the bleutooth and the MAC. BUT i am not dissapointed for this. I am dissapointed because of the poor software that SE developed for MAC users. And the worst is that is not working properly. When i was using the MEdia GO in a PC i didnt have any problem transfering movies and converting them from the PC to my mobile . Now , its impossible to do that. Because the software simple is not working.

  • Sony Ericsson z520a and Mac dialing

    Hello, all, looking for some insight. Just got in my Sony Ericsson z520a, replacing my old Siemens S56. I'm very happy with the Bluetooth performance of the z520a, including its compatibility with Salling Clicker, but I've noticed that the one function that I haven't been able to do with this new phone that never gave me a problem with the S56 is dialing from my Mac.
    I've tried using Address Book and I've tried using BuddyPop, and neither seems to work. In fact, the functionality within Address Book seems to be parallel with the main bluetooth connection (i.e. if I'm paired, then the Address Book bluetooth toggle doesn't want to turn on).

    There is no entry for the Z520 in the address book device command sets. The command sets file is this file:
    /Applications/Address\ Book.app/Contents/Resources/Telephony.bundle/Contents/Resources/ABDeviceCommand Sets.plist
    To edit in TextEdit from Terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal), triple click and copy, then paste in Terminal the following:
    open -a textedit /Applications/Address\ Book.app/Contents/Resources/Telephony.bundle/Contents/Resources/ABDeviceCommand Sets.plist
    type a return right after <array> and then copy and paste this text at the new blank line:

Start Address Book and click the Bluetooth icon if it isn't already blue, you may need to accept the incoming connection on your cell phone. • Did Sony Ericsson Mobiles support KSOAP??

    Did KSoap work in Sony Ericsson Mobiles which support web services API (JSR 172) ?
    I have developed a J2ME application which calls the .NET webservice and this application works fine in JSR 172 supported Nokia Mobiles. But i have tried it in sony ericsson mobiles and its not working...

    I can answer this question by myself and confirm that this hack is working. Simple to apply also.

  • ISync 3.0, Mac OS 10.5.2, Sony Ericsson w850i device not supported

    I have a MacBook Santa Rosa that came with Leopard. I want to use iSync 3.0 to synchronize my address book with my Sony Ericsson (SE) W850i. My phone is on the Leopard feature bragging list: http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/
    Yet, when I pair my phone to the MacBook via Bluetooth and try to add the device in iSync, it finds the phone and then I am told that "This device is not supported by iSync."
    So today I updated to 10.5.2. No change. The Feisar plug-in won't even download. It reminds me that my phone is supported in Leopard. So what gives?
    I have tried unpairing and re-pairing, deleting the connection from my phone, restarting my MacBook, turning Bluetooth on and off on both devices, and resetting the iSync History.

    Copied from another thread in which I replied, perhaps it may offer some insight;
    After setting up WinXP Pro under Parallels and installing/running Motorola's software, I was able to finally add contacts to the phone. But this wasn't easy. I first exported vCards from Apple's Address Book and imported the same into Outlook's Addresses. Motorola's software has a pretty straightforward interface, but isn't perfect. In order to "Save Changes", it was necessary to unplug and re-plug the phone to complete the process. During all this, the Motorola software unexpectedly quit a few times.
    But here's the kicker; after all this work, I thought to give iSync one more try... and it worked!!! I cannot explain how or why it suddenly recognized the phone, but imagine it has something to do with the fact the Motorola's software update is the key.

  • Support sony ericsson V610i

    i cannot connect with my V610i sony ericsson... when will it be possible?
    does anybody knows?
    i do get some strange numbers in isync when i try to connect, like ie-2f-52-de-4h
    Greetz,

    You're living in a dream world if you really expect that every possible device you could potentially buy should be supported out-of-the-box on a minority operating system, just because it cost more in the first place.
    Nobody forced you to buy a Mac. You could've bought a (much cheaper) Windows PC and had support for your phone out-of-the-box, if that's what you wanted.
    Or, you could easily have referred to Apple's list of iSync Compatible Devices, and chosen a phone on it.
    But you chose not to.
    And now you're unable to sync your phone because you're not willing to support the work of an independent developer who allows you to do what Sony Ericsson/Apple don't for a very low cost. I mean, do you work for free?

  • Does iSync Support the Sony-Ericsson Z750 ?

    Does anyone know the status of iSynch support for the new AT&T Z750? It is not listed as supported in the latest list.
    How do I get Apple to answer this Q ?

    The Sony Ericsson Z750 already works fine with iSync, and has done since its release in November 2007 via an iSync Plugin from here.
    It's looking increasingly unlikely that Apple will add support for this phone in the future - they're currently anything from 6 months to 4 years behind in adding support for 'new' phones, and are encouraging third-parties to fill the gap.

  • Sony Ericsson 902 mutlimedia manager on Mac OS Leopard

    Hi,
    How do I access ISYNC on my Mac OS Leopard to be able to use Multimedia Manager for new phone I bought, a Sony Ericsson 902.
    Thanks,

    Not directly.
    You can transfer (non-protected) iTunes tracks to your phone using EasyListening:
    http://www.divinerobot.com/
    From iPhoto you can either drag and drop if the phone is connected via USB, or export pictures and then send by Bluetooth using the Bluetooth File Exchange.
    There's also a program called FoneLink by novamedia for complete phone management, although it doesn't yet support the C902 (I would presume that is coming soon).

  • Sony Ericsson geo-tagging doesn't show up on Mac

    So I have a Sony Ericsson T715, which has triangulation geo-tagging for photos, I can see their location through the phone no problem.
    However, when I import them via the Bluetooth File Browser to my Mac and import them into iPhoto '09, their location does not show up
    Why is this? How should I import them so that this information stays? (Was a reason why I bought this phone.)
    I tried looking at the phone/importing through Image Capture, but it doesn't seem to work... keeps randomly opening iPhoto and showing nothing. In Image Capture it shows the photos, but I can't import them - just says it's importing, but does nothing in the end.

  • I am trying to install final cut pro 6 onto my mac but a message keeps coming up saying its doesnt support a powerpc, anyone have any tips please?

    I am trying to install final cut pro 6 onto my mac but a message keeps coming up saying its doesnt support a powerpc, anyone have any tips please?

    If you have an Intel Mac and have recently upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion; here is a post I made in another similar thread:
    I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
    Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta.  Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
    However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion).  While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
    Workarounds:
    1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
    2.  If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between Final Cut Pro or Lion/Mt. Lion;
    3.  Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the screen from your other Mac to view and work FCP in the Mac Mini environment);
    2.  Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCP (such as FCP X) and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly.  There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
    3.  Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:
                                  [click on image to enlarge]
    Full Snow Leopard installation instructions here:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1365439
    NOTE: STEP ONE of the instructions must currently be completed on a Snow Leopard or Lion Mac and the resulting modified Snow Leopard.cdr install file can then be moved over to your Mountain Lion Mac for completion of the remaining steps.
    NOTE 2:  Computer games with complex, 3D or fast motion graphics make not work well or at all in virtualization.

  • Mac os x and Sony Ericsson are they compatible

    I have a Cellphone Sony Ericsson W41S, I plugged to iMac 20" PPC and tried to sync it, no luck. How can they communicate with each other? Any solution?

    Apple has a compatibility list for phones that work together with isync:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html
    But there are quite some phones that are not on the list but work anyway. So i think your SE phone should be able to connect to your mac.
    But as you can see on the bottom of that site, SE phones can only connect via bluetooth to the mac. So if your phone has bluetooth built in, you should try this.

  • S there marathi language support in sony Ericsson 8

    s there marathi language support in sony Ericsson 8

    It doesn't appear that the X8 I have supports this language.
    However, if you mean the W8, it may support this, as the phone was developed with your region in mind.
    Regardless, I would check in-store before purchasing.

    Not sure what you want - you shoot the photo by doing a sweep and the camera makes a static JPEG that is long (panaromic) and you import it - on the camera and in iPhoto is is a panaromic photo
