Sony Ericsson "K550i" Help needed.

I have a Sony Ericsson K550i phone. I tried to update the software from the sony ericsson site. As i followed the steps in downloading the update manager... it lead me to a k550i software update download page. which can be found in this link. ( http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/k550i?cc=gb&lc=en ). But when i download the manager, it only showed the information for K550 and i got the same picture and thought that i can be useful and updated the phone software to k550. but alas! the phone stopped working. Now i am seeking for a "k550i" software update. How can i find it? Is it possible to get the software update for "K550i"? Are there any alternatives ? Please help me.

i downloaded and tried the phone repair. but it said phone repair failed. i downloaded the 2.10.7.15 version which is said to be a update service pro. it asks for username and password. i registered but sony ericssion validation hasnt come yet in my email giving me the password. if this program works then please can i get any one username and password from your side friend? if this is possible to repair my K550i, it would be a great help from your side staying in different parts of the world.

Unable to transfer pictures to Sony Ericsson K550i

I can transfer photographs FROM my phone, it shows up as Drive H, but when I try and put pictures ON the phone I get an error messages saying something like No Device Detected.
Any suggestions on a solution?

I guess you are connecting phone in File Transfer mode. If you are able to browse phone folder then you should be able to put pictures as well.
Sometimes windows displays USB drives but those are not usable. Try restarting windows.

I have searched through the threads to see if I can find a previous answer to the problem I have but I couldn't find anything that quite matched all the facts, so here goes.
A Nokia N85 that is on O2 WILL received Pics but WILL NOT receive vids from a Sony Ericsson (cant remember model no, but can get it if its important though) that is on Orange. The N85 user receives a text message saying "You've been sent a media message from +447966XXXXXX that your mobile doesn't support. View it at O2.co.uk by typing in your mobile number and pin XXXXX".
However the N85 that is on O2 is able to SEND both pics and vids to the Sony Ericsson that is on Orange and they are are able to be viewed perfectly.
O2 have been contacted and the message settings have been sent to the N85 several times, the message centre number has also been checked. On contacting O2 for a second time was told that O2 doesn't support the N85 and Nokia should be contacted. Upon contacting Nokia twice, first time was told it was that Nokia N85 can't/won't receive video files over 100kb but when questioned further the operator then went on to say that Nokia and Sony Ericsson operated different formats. This I could totally accept apart from the fact that the Sony Ericsson WILL receive both pics and vids from the N85. The second time Nokia were contacted was told that Sony Ericsson or Orange needed to be contacted.
So.... before hours are spent on the phone to either Sony Ericsson or Orange, I thought I would ask if anyone had any pointers as to where the problem might lie? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Disk2Phone application is installed at my PC even I have tried changing my PC as well.
Sony PC Suite version is also updated [ 1.6.0 ]
I installed these SW suits on different PCs and tried connecting it but still no success.
I don't know why this Media Manager appears in Orange color.

No Configurable Services when pairing my sony ericsson to my imac

I just got a new 24" iMac, I also have a MacBook. My Sony Ericsson K550i is paired perfectly with my Macbook, and it has a few services like sending files back and forth, and remote control. but when I try to pair it with my iMac it pairs but it says that there are to services on the device. I cleared it and tried it again and the same thing happened. I then cleared it on my macbook and tried that again and it works fine. So something is wrong with the connection between my imac and phone. I though maybe it was the bluetooth, but when I connect my bluetooth mouse to it, it works fine. I'm tried messing with preferences but nothing seems to work. I'd like for it to work because i have BluePhoneElite 2 on my mac and I'd really like to be able to use it. If you have any ideas that would be great. Thanks for the help.

You mentioned preferences but if you didn't catch this one...
Try deleting this file. com.apple.BluetoothFileExchange.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.
See if that helps.
Are the MacBook and iMac both running Leopard 10.5.6?

Please somebody help me....
I'm beginner to mobile application development and i'm using J2me for MIDlet development(For Sony Ericsson P800).
I'm trying to develop an application which has a high end User interface ... i.e., it has all types of components like buttons, textboxes, Choice Group and etc.,
My development env contain the following tools,
- Sun ONE studio Mobile Edition
- Sony Ericsson P800 j2me SDK
- J2me wireless toolkit 2.1
the problem is .... i was not able to do that with the exsisting classes .... Do i have to add any optional package to my project????
please help me with ur valuable suggestions ..... Waiting for ur reply

Help! My Sony Ericsson T715A can no longer connect to my PC (Windows 7) in phone mode...

Sony Ericsson T715A: I can no longer connect in to my PC (Windows 7) in phone mode; so I can no longer sync contax, calendar, tasks etc. with MS Office Outlook. Also cannot back up phone, or
update software. Can only drag files out into Explorer folders. When I connect the phone, it has to be on. Instead of going right to phone/PC mode, I get a message on it saying "Phone functions are
not available in File Manager mode. Continue?" I say yes, whereupon the phone seems to restart, & then the Microsoft Autoplay folder comes up, or else I can find it in "devices and printers." R-
click the icon, "properties" Identifies it only as a generic Microsoft device. I tried running the computer troubleshooter on it, which came up w/nothing.
    After some period of time I will notice that the phone either rings and I can answer it, or it has stopped recharging, and the icon has disappeared from the PC.
    I had the 2007 version of PC Suite and PC Companion, and when I tried to install it on my 2010 PC w/ Windows 7 it said not compatible. I downloaded an update for that software from the SE site, but it didn't help. Then I ran the compatibility wizard in Windows 7 for PC Suite. Still no luck. I got a tip from an SE forum to uninstall all that software and download a certain package and start fresh. I am about to try that.
    Here is my question:
ALL T HIS TIME I have still been using the OLD SIM card from my SE ZZ710i in the newer phone. I figured it works; why not preserve the newer one from wear & tear as long as poss.
Now, it has been a while since I synched or backed up my phone. I hate to lose everything on it/the SIM card. If I install a whole new version of SE PC Suite, is it going to somehow overwrite or not work at all with my
old SIM card? Must I insert the NEW SIM 1st, & sacrifice whatever data is on the old one, before trying the new desktop software and updateing the phone?
As for updating the phone, which I realize wipes out data, it might be necessary.. I noticed in some Event log or other that some SE-related working file called EMMA was deleted recently, I don't know why. Anyone know anything about that?

To answer your answer:
a. I WAS using a NEW USB cord when I posed the question.
b. I've now downloaded the update service. I can try updating the phone from its File manager state. I'm just afraid whatever data is on it will get wiped, no?

If your old device is not compatible with the wizard, then you need to find out if the old device can export the data you desire so that the BB can import it:

If you are already using a compatible desktop PIM with your old device, then the RIM software can import from the PIM and bypass the old device completely:

I suggest that you try to run a software reinstall using SUS.

Need modem string for sony ericsson S710a

After spending an hour-plus with an Apple Care specialist we think the reason the iBook isn't communicating with the S710a is that I possibly don't have the correct modem script selected. Cingular told me Ericsson Infrared should be fine. Sony said they couldn't find the information. CAN ANYONE HELP ME AND TELL ME WHAT THE MODEM SCRIPT IS THAT I SHOULD SELECT? At this point I can't get the computer to dial any number in address book at all.

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 which I got it 3 years ago. I lost the headset and I am looking for it online.
But I do not see any genuine products online. Where can I get it?
Even the outlets doesnt have it as the brand has been changed to SONY from Sony Ericsson.
The headset model is MH710. I really like that headset. I have got many other headsets after loosing this but those are not satisfying like MH710. I really miss it. Please help me wherecan I get the original headset.

That's a very nice effect. I guess you could do that kind of thing using a 3d library like Papervision3D or Alternativa with a tweening library like Tweener. TweenLite or gTween.
