Sony HBH-IS800 Headphones Loses Connection...

Just got a pair of Sony HBH-IS800s and while they pair just fine with my MBP but lose connection after pausing music. I can play a song fine immediately after pairing but if I stop or pause music and it sits for a minute it will lose connection. I tried going into sounds settings and setting the headphones as the "output" but it just defaults back to "built in" eventually. These headphones work great with my iPhone 4 so it's got to be something with the headphones and the MBP. Specs are 2.8ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 4gb running in 10.6.4.

I'm using IS800 with iphone 4 ios 5.0.1. It's a nice compact stereo headset. Only downside is you can't control volume from the headset, but you can control volume from the phone. And the sound is not too loud. It works very fine with my iphone... no voice break up.... no sound break up... other party can clearly listen to me also...

MacBook Pro loses connection with Bluetooth Headphones

Hi,
Every time I turn off my bluetooth headphones and then turn them back on, my mid-2009 MBP loses connection with them and forces me to re-pair them. It comes up with an error where the only option is "Stop using headphones" - does anyone know a solution to this?
My headphone are Sony DR-BT101.

What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either.

Yes it's in pairing mode, it worked fine with the 3GS but doesn't seem to work with the 4s, my 4s can't find any other bluetooth device, I think the problem ls with apple?

IPhone 3G S and Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800

I just started evaluating the Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 headset. It looks promising with its ultra-compact size and decent sound quality.
However, I am having a major issue with the headset. It does not have volume control built in, meaning volume must be controlled on the iPhone. However, using the volume switch on the side of the iPhone does not work when it is paired with the HBH-IS800 (or any other BT headset, for that matter). It seems to contradict with Apple's following KB article.

I bought Sony Ericsson's HBH-IS800 headset and I just can't believe this. Why is'nt there a volume control in iPhone for headset devices? I've been so impressed with iPhone that this though never even occurred to me. Just thinking that iPhone would play at FULL VOLUME and not let me choose a volume level was not something that entered my mind before buying this headset. Apple usually means quality and excellent user experience but this scenario is a failure. If I use the volume controls on the iPhone then naturally the output volume to the bluetooth device should be adjusted accordingly. Is'nt that what anyone would expect? I've been disappointed for the first time since I decided to buy iPhone. I really hope this is fixed in iPhone OS 3.2.

Strange, volume control, fast forward, rewind are controlled by AVRCP, why does it say here that AVRCP is supported by the latest iPhone OS for 3G, 3GS and iPod Touch 2G : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
This means that it should work ! Is there a toggle or something in settings ? Can you check ?

Best USB cable to charge HBH-IS800?

Which of the Sony Ericsson USB data cables will charge the HBH-IS800, from an Apple MacBook with no SE software installed?
I tried one - I forget the model number as I sent it back but it was probably the DCU-65 (though might have been a knock-off) - and it didn't work: the headphones recognised being plugged in, but would not charge. I read on another forum that you have to use a PC and it only works with drivers but this seems extremely unlikely.
As the AC adapter is bulky and I have no other SE devices I would like to travel with just a USB cable - any advice?

Unfortunately the pins are different when it comes to the USB cable this does mean you are unable to charge the headset with a USB cable this can only be done with the AC adapter.

Quality sound good but not perfect, but its is clear frequencies seem that the clips are (too high frequencies).

I just bought the SE HBH-DS220. It sounds really good when connected to itunes as well as to my W910i. I cannot hear any noticable difference between this and when I have a wired connection to the computer or phone. If you turn the volume to max on the clip it even plays a bit louder through the headphones, which is just a plus in my book as they don't distort the sound at all.

Hi, My name is Bhargav and I recently bought the wireless headset mentioned above (HBH IS800). I have a small problem with the headset. Whenever a call comes in, I dont hear the ringtone or the song I assigned as a ringtone. Instead, the default sony ericsson tune rings in the headphones. At the same time, the phone is ringing in the actually specified ringtone I selected. Can you please help me with this?

I'm using a similar Bluetooth headset (HBH-DS205) with my W995 and have exactly the same issue.Having played around with all the Bluetooth and call settings in the phone, it still does the same. Perhaps that's the way it is, or perhaps somebody else has a workaround.

i have SE HBH-IS800 before i buy Nokia C7. When i connect the earphone with C7 by bluetooth, the earphone works , either in max volume or none. How can i set y C7 to solve this problem?

HBH-IS800 - Volume Too Low?

I just got the HBH-IS800 Bluetooth earphones, which are a godsend for wireless stereo music.
But, the volume on them is much lower than the stock Apple earphones.
My iPhone 4 sets the volume to 100% on default, which was the first thing that made me suspicious.
So, is it the phone or the phones, and is it fixable?
I don't always like full-volume, but sometimes.. it's needed.

I would not know why not, but I have neither the 920 (use a 620) nor the MDR 1R headset (use SOny earbuds or a set of MDR V700 cans which sound just fine to me

BTN200 loses connection to laptop if not used for a period of time.

Is there a way to turn off or increase the inactivity time out on this headset... seems it is too short of time... i keep having to power on the devices... it is fully charged as i received the item on Friday, charged it on Sunday and using it today for the first time so battery cannot be dead... please help it is annoying to keep having to hit power button to connect.
Actually, working more with the device what happens is if i move away from my laptop, the connection gets lost and then the power goes off after a while in which case i have to hit the power button for few seconds to reconnect the headphones... so my question is there a way to increase the power off timing?
well i ran some timing and the headphones will lose connection after 7mn if not within range of laptop, then shut down after 5mn... but if headphones is always near the laptop it will never lose connection so it's all good.

Windows 7 Pro Client loses connectivity to internal Win2k8 web server

1. affected workstation are Optiplex 380 running Win 7 pro sp1 with broadcom NICs.
2. Internal users use a internal webserver for customer invoicing application. Users lose connectivity to this internal web server, all other networking works, network shares, internet, etc. If I try to ping the webserver IP I get no reply. XP
machines are not affected. Not a DHCP issue as there are plenty of IPs.
3. I have tried different internal NICs (3com) but still had issue. I have upgraded BIOS, nic drivers. etc.
4. I rebuilt one of the machines using Windows XP pro sp3 and have had no issue with that workstation.
the problem started a few months or so ago. I have not been able to determine the source. I tried running wireshark but nothing stuck out. I have changed the session settings on the IIS server from 15 minutes to 6 hours but did not make a difference.
5. Today when client lost connectivity to the server I tried pinging from the server back to the client and the connection was restored. This issue really has me confused as I cannot find anything in the logs that sticks out.
