Sony HDRXR150 won't connect to iMovie 8 PLEASE HELP
I'm about to throw in the towel and forget camcorders that will connect to my Intel macbk Pro ('08) iMovie. Been researching this for 3 weeks and was told directly by Apple tech that any using formats .mpeg,.hdv or .dv would connect immediately to iMovie upon connecting camcorder and from there I could make a playable DVD.
So I finally settled on the Sony HDRXR150 and brought it home today > took a few minutes of video ( on the "HDFH" setting > connected with the USB cable. (discovered No firewire connection on this camcorder - although I seemed to read one other poster said he connected with the firewire cable. I had read that to connect with iMovie you needed firewire connection) > chose the "internal" connection ( NO "HD" connection icon appeared) > the white mounting icon appeared on my desktop. That is as far as I could do anything.
PLEASE PLEASE help me. I like the camcorder but would be willing to get a different one (can take this back within 14 days) IF this one cannot be directly connected to iMovie.
now the real questions: 1) Of you who have this camcorder and can connect to iMovie 8,9, or the current one HOW did you do it ?????? 2) anyone else can help me determine whether I should return it and if so WHAT should I get for under $800 , is a hard drive, takes a decent video and connects directly to iMovie .
I've read so many comments in so many forums that I am totally confused and discouraged by the differing opinions

i went to that link and while it says compatible, when clicking the followup link, this camera is not listed:

how wold I know IF the camera contains both HD and SD (the latter that has to be erased first ? It's an HD amera so why would it have SD content also ?

My iPod Touch (4th generation) won't connect to my house wifi that it's always connected to. I tried forgetting the network, and putting the password in again, several times. I've tried restarting my iPod, turning the wifi on & off, and also turning the router off and back on but none of this has helped. After I forgot the network and typed the password back in it just kept saying 'loading' and eventually it stops loading but still doesn't connect. It also shows other peoples wifi's but I haven't tried to connect to theres to see if it works. It just started doing this yesterday at this other place I was at but i just figured it was their wifi because when I got home that night it worked just fine but today it started doing it again at my house and I don't know what to do. Please Help!
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indiacte a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I got this phone for christmas off of ebay. it came unlocked & im using straight talk. this morning the screen began glitching. i googled it and it seems to be a common problem with the iphone4. i did what others said to do & reset my phone. the only problem is that my computer back up did not work. i tried using icloud to back it up but my phone won't connect to any wifi. The only times I have been able to connect to wifi is when I have accidently dropped my phone. I was able to stay connected for a couple of hours. When I try to connect to wifi it says "unable to join the network (name of network)". Can someone please help me!

I assume you have rebooted the phone, as that is a basic step.
Go to Settings/General/Reset and tap Reset Network Settings. This may or may not fix it. -
My Hp deskjet won't connect to my wifi, please help!!
I recently bought an iPad so I bought the hp deskjet 3510 to be able to use AirPrint with the iPad. But the printer won't detect a wireless signal. It just keep blinknig the little blue wifi icon on it. I have the printer right next to my router, so there should be no problem. I don't have a desktop or laptop to use, just the iPad. I have googled a million times and it's getting me no where. Please, help!!!
This printer doesn't have a wireless setup wizard, so getting it on the network will be a bit of a chore unless you have a computer. You don't happen to have a computer and a USB cable do you?

I made a imovie and then deleted the video clips from my photo library! But now in imovie it won't let me save it or send it, but it lets me see the finished imovie? Please help!!
That one didn't work either. I don't understand why the clips looked fine in Final Cut Pro and look fine in Quicktime but are distorted in iMovie. I know this is an Apple Forum but for crying out loud, is there ANY editing software that I can get that will just play these things correctly while my Quad is in the shop? I even have all of the clips ready for dropping into a timeline (trimmed in QuickTime Pro) and all I need to do is render it into video and audio TS files and I'm good to go. Otherwise I lose a major client! This is crazy because I own Final Cut Studio but my software is back in the States (I'm in London right now)!
Apple makes great products, and I'm a very loyal customer but this particular problem is gonna sink my business!

No it doesn't. Sometimes it make a sound that it should when connecting but that is it. Never actually charges or syncs. And it is a brand new cord.

EUREKA, I found the solution to my problem in a Discussion initiated by gingertodd on July 27, 2011 entitled "Safari in Lion hijacked by malware." The solution was provided by Badunit who recommended force quitting Safari and then reopening it while holding down the Shift key. It worked instantly, and I subsequently was able to open Safari normally by just clicking on its icon in the Dock. THANK YOU BADUNIT!

When I try to add video to iMovie on iPod Touch, none of the videos on the Touch show up to be added. I've restarted the iPod twice, closed all the apps and then reopened iMovie. Please help!
Now You lost me (without using a computer?) - Most probably due to that I've not got an iPod Touch but mine is seven Years old - so it most probably work in a totally different way.

Are you still facing the same error ? If yes, are you getting this error everytime you are trying to export ?
Please try again and check.
This is basically a compilation error , where files are not converted into proper format correctly.

When I try to download my updates it keeps saying cannot connect to iTunes store please help I'm going mad!
a lot of people have posted about this and i have seen one weird thing fix this. people said they where going into date and time under settings and changing the date to some time in the future and then going to the itunes store and it would give them an error that there date and time was wrong. then all you need to do is go back and set the date and time right and go back to the itunes store and try again.
Im not sure why this did the trick but a bunch of people said that this helped them out..... Weird i know
