  • Ipod Classic 80gb won´t work with apple universal dock and remote

I own 2 ipods a 5th generation 60gb and an ipod classic 60gb. I've just bought an apple universal dock with remote and the original apple component and composite AV cables. I connected the universal dock to my TV via the composite cable, with my ipod 5th gen I can watch videos on the TV and control the ipod with the apple remote but when I connect my ipod classic to the universal dock it will charge but I can´t get any video out or control the ipod with the remote. It's as if the ipod classic doesn't recognize the universal dock and it keeps showing the connect the video accessory screen, even when i tried using the apple component AV cable. I dont think the problem is with the universal dock because it works fine with my Ipod video 60gb, but with my Ipod Classic 80gb the remote control and video out won't work at all, i can´t even control the playback of audio playlists. Does anyone know why that is happenning? Please help me!

I have the Classic 80gb also...same probem. I retuned the Apple Universal Dock and purchased one that was half the price. Pluged it in and it works perfectly! So my advice would be to save some money and get products that work.

  • Headphone won't work with X-Fi Fatal1y I/O dr

<SPAN>I have a new Creative X-Fi Fatalty, and I can't get my <I><SPAN>headphones</I> to work when they are plugged into the <EM>headphone jack on the Fatalty's I/O front bay dri've</EM>. I'm playing music files using Windows Media player. Also, I tried other media players with the same results. The headphones work great when they are plugged into the X-Fi sound card port at the rear of computer, and they also work when plugged into a headphone jack that is included with the wired remote volume control that came with my Creative 5. speakers. I think I have everything set correctly. I've tried several settings to see if it made any difference. For example; mute speakers when headphones plugged in (on & off), make headphones the default speaker selection, tried the three different sound modes (gaming, entertainment, creation). I tried disabling the onboard sound and that didn't work. I've followed all of the troubleshooting guides provided by Creative and they failed to solve this issue. I read a lot of <EM>headphone not working posts</EM>, but couldn't find anything that sounded like it might work for me, or anything that I haven't already tried.<SPAN>

. Bad power connector to the Fatalty I/O dri've. If the I/O dri've had a function light on it, I would of know it wasn't getting power. But anyway, those little computer voltage testers made just for molex plugs and other plugs work great and helped me find this problem with my power connector.

  • Airplay won't work with Apple TV and iPad 2

I have an iPad 2 running iOS 8.1 and an Apple TV 3 with the latest software and I can't use Airplay to send content to my Apple TV. I know there is no issue with the Apple TV since I can use Airplay to send content to my Apple TV using my iPhone 6, and Macbook, but not using my iPad. Oddly, Airplay will work on my iPad when I connect to my airport express, but not to my Apple TV - Apple TV doesn't appear in the drop down menu yet my airport express does! I have gone through all the usual fixes (restarting, restoring, etc. etc.) - to no avail, my iPad simply can not find my Apple TV for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated! cheers, d

I Have the same problem with iOS 8.2 and the latest OS for the Apple TV. My Apple TV is connected by ethernet as is my iMac. I can stream to the Apple TV from my iMac via this ethernet setup. But my iPad and iPhone 5s with iOS 8.2 won't connect even though I can see the AirPlay button and the sound a pics go blank on the iPhone and iPad .
I Have been suing AirPlay for several years with no prob,ms until now. I am running Yosemite OS on the iMac.

  • Headphones won't work with soundc

I have an Audigy2 Platinum. I have a Logitech headset/mic plugged into it. Everything worked fine. Then I reformat my hdd. I have the headset plugged into the back of my soundcard. The mic will work, but the headset doesn't. I also have a Li'vedri've. I can plug the headset into it and it works fine. I have plugged a different set of headphones into the back of the card and it didn't work either. I have installed all the latest softwate updates but still I get nothing. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks

I just had the same problem with a Skullcandy headset on my E73.  (Does yours also have the integrated microphone?)  I always saw the message "Accessory not supported".  Headsets, headphones, etc. aren't exactly USB devices, i.e. there's no plug-and-play happening, so I couldn't understand how the phone knew it wasn't supported before I tried playing music.  I am still not sure.  Either the conductors (the 4 metal bands) on the plugs of official Nokia products have special lengths, or the phone does an impedance/resistance check on the thing you've plugged in, and compares it to known values.  I would still like to figure this out, but the moral for you is that I doubt that Skullcandy headset will ever work.   I don't know which country you live in, and my E73 uses a 3.5" plug, but I was able to get a Nokia OEM headset from EBay US for $8, shipping included.  Stick to "Nokia compatible" headsets so you know it will work, even if that means using mail order.

  • My own headphones won't work with the iPod?

I have a pair of Sony Psyc headphones [http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-3/qid=1136948303/ref=sr13/602-4413487-1679852?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0007N55P0], and they're 3.5 mm stereo headphones, but only the right headphone works, and the left headphone has no sound at all.
This means that the iPod has a mono signal or that the headphones are not recieving the stereo signal.
    Any way to fix this?

I feel stoopid!!! Yes, it does require a much more significant "push" than I was expecting. Thank you much for your help as well as yours Stedman1!!!

  • ITunes won't work with Apple TV remote speakers

I'm running the most current version of iTunes and Apple TV on both my iMac and Macbook PRO. I can connect to the Apple TV for remote speakers fine from the Macbook PRO but cannot through the iMac. This problem has existed for my iMac for quite sometime now. It was only until recently that I've been able to test this problem against my new Macbook PRO to see what happens. Now at least I know it's the iMac and NOT the Apple TV..
I also restored the Apple TV to factory settings and the remote speaker option worked before the update. After the update, when I select the option for Apple TV for remote speakers it thinks for moment and unchecks what I just checked for remote speakers. No error occurs.
    Please help!!!

Does ANYONE know if they can help me? Thanks in advance!

  • 2-wire modems don't work with Apple?

Never had an Internet problem until I moved 3 weeks ago.  Since then my 12 mbps signal drops constantly.  AT&T Uverse have been to my new house 20 days straight trying to fix it (their monitoring shows the signal drops [goes away] sometimes every 2 or 3 minutes, ever since they connected it 20 days ago).  They have rewired my house (new cat5e drops, everything from the street to the house to the RJ45), and also  redid fiber-to-copper-to-street from telephone poles.  (I don't know the technical terms, but that's the gist of it, as they explained it to me.)  The AT&T guy says 2-wire modems won't work with Apple computers, and that might be the actual cause of the problems.  I find that hard to understand, since I had the same modem also using Uverse at my old address, for four years, with no problems.  So they've added a Cisco router, creating a second wifi within my house.  Now I get steady signal with Cisco, but it's 3.4 mbps.
I now am having problems streaming already-rented movies to my AppleTV.  The one I tried to watch tonight stops every 5 minutes or so and buffers for at least another 5 minutes each time.  That makes it tough to watch the movie.
Does anybody know if this buffering issue is because of slow wifi?  Or is it related to wifi at all?  If not, what else could it be?  I started this movie about 2 hours ago, so I now have 22 hours left on the rental, and at this rate I'll be up all night trying to watch it.
    Thanks.

I've used U-verse and the same 2-Wire modem for 4 years without any problems.  I am about 1800 feet from the VRAD (box, usually on a street corner, that connects the last mile copper to the fiber which goes to the CO).
So you have to ask U-verse just how far are you from the VRAD. The service does degrade somewhat the further you are from the VRAD (limit about 3000 to 4000 feet) and of course the quality of the copper between you and the VRAD.
Also, for questions like this, which are more U-vers problems than mac problems I suggest posting at the two primary U-verse forums:
    AT&T U-verse Forums

  • I have a Sony TV KDL40EX525. It does not support Netflix. Would you know if it works with Apple TV?

I have a Sony TV KDL-40EX525. FULL HD. LED. It does not support Netflix. Does it works with Apple TV? Sony were not able to help me.

I'm not sure what you mean about Netflix, but it's not relevant to answering your quesiton. As long as your TV has an HDMI input, Apple TV will connect to it. And AppleTV has a Netflix App, which you can use. You should be fine.

  • Apple TV2 airplay audio (via Airport Express) works well with music, but won't work with any video.

I have an ATV2 and Airport Express connected to speakers all connected to the same network. It all works with music, but won't work with any video audio. In my ATV's settings I've selected my AirPort Express speakers. It works for music, why not everything else? Is there a fix or work around?

Netflix is first on that list...What I mean is, if there is a feature that allows for a wireless audio connection to the Apple TV, why wouldn't the developer allow it. To keep me from enjoying a more convient connection? I can have the same listening experience on a wired connection...

  • Apple Remote won't work with Logic

I bought a new iMac (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) and the Apple Remote won't work with Logic 8. It worked fine on my MacBook Pro.

jazzmaniac, I did something by holding down two buttons on the remote for a few seconds. I guess that is called registering. But when I try to play a song file in Logic, Front Row pops up instead.
I've searched the Internet and am finding little on this topic.

  • Has anyone found bluetooth headphones that successfully pair with Apple Watch (not Beats)

I've been trying to pair the Apple Watch with a few different bluetooth headphones including LG and Kinivo without success. Not really interested in buying another set of bluetooth headphones or dropping $200 on them. Any one have success pairing Apple Watch with any bluetooth device?

I have the Jaybird Bluebuds X and while I did get them to pair with the Watch, it required me to tell my iPhone 6 to forget the device. Normally I have it paired in Bluetooth settings to both my iPad Mini and iPhone, and while it attempt to pair with the last paired device, just going into Bluetooth Settings  and tapping connect will switch device.
But apparently that won't work with the Watch - as I said I had to tell the iPhone to forget this device first.
But what annoyed me even more was after getting it to pair with the Watch, when I attempted to play music using the Glances music app, the music played through the iPhone speaker. Sort of understand this as I don't have any music synced to my Watch and generally have the Bluebuds paired directly to the iPhone.
Not sure if I did something wrong - might get around to playing around with it again.

  • New ipod touch won't work with itunes 10.6.3 says it needs 11.1 but I cannot load that on my macbook using OSX 10.5.8 any way around this?

New ipod touch won't work with itunes 10.6.3, says it needs 11.1 or newer but I cannot load that onto my MacBook running on OSX 10.5.8 - is there anyway around this?

No. If your MacBook has an Intel processor you can update to OSX 10.6.8 and then install the latest iTunes.
A 5G iPod with iOS 7 requires that if you have a Mac you have OSX 10.6.8 or later.
    You can get 10.6.8 here:

  • FM transmitter won't work with my iPhone

I bought a Premier FM transmitter from Auto Zone the other day. It has a 30-pin connector with an led panel that lights up when you connect it to an apple device. It's suppose to work with all 30-pin devices but doesn't work with my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.2). I have tried it with my iPod Touch 2g and two other iPhone 4's that belonged to my friends, and it worked with all three devices. Any explanation why it won't work with mine?

"the Middle East" is a really big place. I suspect you bought a gray market hacked phone. Call Apple Care and give them the serial number. Maybe they can tell you if it's locked and to what carrier.
