Sony HT-CT350/150 Incorrect Product Specs

Since both of these products are hot sellers right now, I just have to point out that the Best Buy pages for these particular products have incorrect specification information. They will only decode Dolby Digital, DTS, and LPCM audio, just like the HTC-CT100. They do not decode Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD-MA but will recognize the high-bitrate Dolby and DTS core tracks embedded in those audio streams and play them accordingly.

Lord Nelson here.
I've reverted back to 5.5.0 as I was experiencing lock-up problems with the BM Intensity Pro.
Unfortunately I haven't found a way of simply uninstalling the update and reverting back to an earlier version.  Win 7 Sytem Restore wouldn't, so I had to uninstall Premiere Pro, apply the Adobe Clean Install utility (or whatever!) and then reinstall PP CS5.5.  Trouble was that it reinstalled the whole suite, not just PP - so I lost all custom workspaces across the suite.
Grrrrr!

  • Sequence of dependencies in product spec

    Hi,
Does the sequence of dependencies that I enter in the product spec dependencies tab matters ?
    Ex:
    FromComponent ToComponent
    A B
    B C
    FromComponent ToComponent
    B C
    A B
Does the upper two configurations are same ?
    Thanks,
    Harman

    Hi Harman;
No, the sequence does not matter.
While we're on the topic, also keep in mind that OSM can infer dependencies between order components within a product spec (a.k.a. fulfillment pattern).
For example, if you have a dependency chain like a->b->c, then OSM will still respect the dependency between a and c even if b does not appear in the orchestration plan. This means you don't need to declare a dependency between a->b, b->c and a->c, you just need a->b, b->c. Note that this is supported for dependencies within the same product spec and its ancestors, not across product specs.

    Brian.

  • Sony won't stand behind their products

Recently I called Sony's Customer Service to shedule my PS4 for service.  The unit  keeps ejecting disc's as soon as you put them in.  I was told that my unit was 2 month's out of warrenty and there was nothing that they could do for me.  My only option is a $149.99 service charge to fix it.  At that price I might as well save a couple pay checks and buy a new system.  Any problem that I have ever had with a system ( Nintendo,Xbox,SEGA) the maufacturer would fix the system for me even if it was outside the manufacture warrenty.  After dealing with Customer Specialist Quinn, its clear to me that Sony does not want to stand behind there product and doesn't care about a known problem PS4 users are plagued with.

I have been buying Sony products for years, and when I was finally able to purchase a new tv I went all out and got a brand new KDL55W900A. Sony originally charged $3,300 for this television, and it is because it is full of tons of advanced technology and top of the line features, and the picture really shows this. HOWEVER, the issue that I am having is that there are many dead pixels on the screen that are very noticable especially when I am watching animated movies and playing games. I have called Support various times, and always get the run around. The first person that I explain this to will tell me that it is not normal operation and that they will send me a replacement, but then tells me that I have to speak to customer relations. Customer relations then tells me that it is normal operation. How is this normal operation?! It is in no way normal for me to have to watch something on a $3,300 television that is not performing like a $3,300 television. I bought a Sony product because I believed that they are the best, but if they are unwilling to stand behind their products and tell me that dead pixels are normal, then I would be no worse off buying a Samsung or Vizio for that matter. This is unacceptable and from here on out I am going to tell everyone who asks to stay away from Sony products because they do not stand behind their products.

  • Incorrect product number?

Hello all! I just bought a Lenovo notebook, and my trouble is that it *seems* that the product number is different from what I expected.
This is the model I wanted:
    http://shop.lenovo.com/it/it/laptops/lenovo/b-series/b590/
The expected product number is MBX3PIX. The P/N of the notebook I bought is instead 59408928. This is what I read at its bottom. The same on the package, with one exception: on the package MBX3PIX is reported, but as MT/Mod code, not as a product number.
So, MBX3PIX is the product number or the MT/Mod code, whatever it means? And where I can find the MBX3PIX code on the notebook itself?
Some other data from notebook bottom and BIOS:
    Model Type Name: 6274 3pg
    MO: wb0404181b
PS: the tech specs seems to be ok, but I want to be sure this is the model I wanted.

There have been other similar reports here but I assure you it was not intentional. Just a glitch in coding the BIOS update I think.

  • Control Panel shows only 4GB of RAM but product specs say I should have 8GB

My HP Pavilion Elite HPE-250f desktop is supposed to have 8GB of RAM factory installed, but the control panel only shows 4GB. When I run diagnostics with the Support Assistant software it says everything is working fine but also shows only 4GB of RAM. I've had the computer for several months now and the warranty recently expired. In the past I noticed it said 4GB and thought I must have purchased a computer with only 4GB, but it always seemed odd to me. I looked up the specs online and it says the HPE-250f has 8GB, and it also says 8GB on the box it came in. I have not made any modifications to the computer, and have never opened the cabinet. I am hesitant to open the cabinet, but don't feel I should have to pay a lot of money to figure this out.

    Hi,
Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f10 as soon as you start the PC to enter the Bios Menu - on the first page, you should be able to see the ammount of physical ram installed.

  • The model of graphics card on my laptop and on the product specs on hp website are different

i have an HP Pavilion 15-e001AX   laptop, the model numbers of the graphics card on my laptop and the specifications given on hp site are slightly different.
AMD Radeon HD 8650M/8670M  is specification given on web and AMD Radeon HD 8650G + 8600M Dual Graphics is given on my laptop.
are these 2 the same? if so why is it displayed differently on my laptop?...
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi:
The HD 8650M is a typo on the HP specs.  The correct name of the graphics adapter is the  HD 8650G.
That is the onboard graphics adapter.
The 8670M is the discrete video adapter which is supposed to kick in when the graphics demand is too much for the 8650G.
Now for some odd reason, the device manager lists the 8670M graphics adapter as an 8600M because that is how the driver file description for the 8670M graphics adapter hardware ID is labeled.
But your notebook has an 8670M discrete graphics adapter.  There is no such adapter as an 8600M.
The 8600M is the series name.
Below are the graphics adapters in the 8500M and 8600M series

  • Applecare Agent Contradicts Product Spec: 210v or 240v?

I'm going to Argentina next week, and I just got off the phone with an Applecare support agent (on an unrelated issue). I happened to ask him to verify that my laptop (a two month old Macbook Pro) would work with the 220v power in Argentina provided I had an adapter to attach to my power block. His answer was that the specification on the power supply was 210v and that I should not plug the block into an international outlet except through a converter, or else I would burn out the power block and probably the laptop, too.
That seemed weird, so I checked my power block itself. I noticed that the rating printed on the block was for 240v, not 210v (specifically, the input range is 100 - 240v). I asked the support guy why the block says 240v if the spec is 210v and he said he didn't have an explanation, but what his "literature and a bunch of [his] coworkers" were telling him was that the upper range for the block was 210v. He said he couldn't guarantee what would happen if I attempted to plug it into 220.
What the **** is going on here? Is this some sort of known issue where a bunch of blocks got shipped with the wrong specification, or is this guy just an idiot? Do I trust the specification on the device or the Apple support agent?

The person you have been talking to needs to be sent back for re-training.
MacBook power adapters work on 50 Hz, 60 Hz, and Voltages from nominal 110V to nominal 240V. That is intended to cover standard commercial power all over the world. You do not need a transformer. All you need is a local AC power cord to the adapter body.

  • Incorrect product in the transactional cube for opportunity planning data.

    Hi,
We're loading our Opportunity planning data of  CRM  in a transactional cube in BW side. Later this transactional cube data is then uploaded into a standard cube.
For an opportunity, user enter some planning data for a given product (A). which was duly stored in transactional and then later in the standard cube.  Then  user deleted the product (A) and entered a new product (B) on CRM side.  However in the transactional cube, records for the previous product (A) also exist and the same flows to the standard cube as well.
Fyi, delta load mechanism is in place for loading of both types of cubes.
Could someone throw some light why the old item (product A) is still there in the cubes. coz this gives a wrong picture in the report, though the key figures for product A  are 0.
    Regards,
    Nagendra.

A daily compression would remove the loading details of the cube that are visible to us for any back-tracking, Normally we do the compression for load requests older than 2 weeks.
But the suggestion is good, incase i do not come up with any other soln, will think of implementing this.
Maybe my delta load knowledge is not good enough.
    Please answer the following.
What happens, when we're using standard data sources (with delta load) for loading data from (say) CRM to BW and for a given header guid, a item guid record is later deleted in CRM. On BW side, whether this item_guid record will still be present in the cube or be deleted.
    Regards,
    Nagendra.

  • Registered as incorrect product

I purchased a new 13" Macbook. Went through the registration process during initial boot-up. Received an email, congratulating me on my recent purchase of an iPod Touch. Needless to say, I'm a little concerned. I'm worried about the incorrect serial number, trouble with warranty, etc. Any advice?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
    You're not the first person:

It's surely just a glitch in Apple's registration database. It shouldn't affect your ability to get support. If you want, you can check the status of your warranty here.

    Hi guys.
Well this is what happend. When i bought my laptop Qosmio x300-15r I made a recovery cd.
But I lost those cd's and burn another one recovery cd.
Now that i formated my windows with the recovery cd, and I want to log in He give me the
error: wrong product key,. but it's wierd, cause this product key is writting on the back of my notebook
So how can it be worng???
    Does someone have a clue??
    Greets
    Cheng.

    Hi
    I dont understand.
Toshiba Recovery disk is already activated and there is no option for entering the serial key.
If you use the Toshiba recovery disk you will not be asked to enter any keys!!!
The serial key at the bottom of the unit belongs to the Toshiba installed Windows OS and cannot be used with other Windows versions.

  • What's the status of integrating Sony Raw (.mxf and .dngs) into SpeedGrade?

I just was hoping for a status update on when both .mxf raw and .dng raw (for Sony) will function fully. I have several projects coming up where I would like to begin moving them to SpeedGrade, as the new workflow will definitely be smoother.
    Just a refresher for all:
Sony Raw (though it was supposed to be available in 7.1) does not read in SpeedGrade via Direct Link as a .mxf file.
Sony Raw .dngs are read incorrectly in all Adobe products at the moment (including SG). Right now my workflow for the DNGs involves processing separately in DaVinci before moving into my Adobe workflow. I'd love to be able to skip the Resolve step.
    Thanks,
    Ted

I appreciate that Sony Raw (.mxf) was fixed in 7.2. However, despite the update saying it contained additional Raw fixes, it still seems that Sony Raw (.dngs) are not being handled correctly by Adobe.
Is there any estimate on when this might be available?
    Thank you,
    Ted

  • Any suggestions for what to look for in a good production monitor?

I'm in the market for a production monitor and I'm looking at B&H's online catalogue now. Any tips on what to look for and if anyone has any recommendations or favorites? Thanks.

it would help if you could determine a budget and then shop for models within or slightly above that budget.
basically, some necessary items are switchable aspect ratio, underscan/overscan and then some sort of blue check for proper chroma and phase calibration. some monitors have a gray scale blue check which i think completely blows. it's better to have a monitor with viewable red, blue and green guns as the blue gun is more accurate for calibration than a grayscale blue check feature. also, there are other diagnostic functions that are viewable by using the red or green guns to view color bars.
some other nice features to have are horizontal/vertical delay, sdi inputs, hd-sdi inputs.
it's been mentioned in the last larry jordan newsletter than the crt monitor is going the way of the dinosaur and now sony and panasonic are marketing lcd products only. i think this is a very sad trend. as a freelance video operator/camera shader, i am of the opinion that lcd monitors are horrible; they hurt my eyes and the color rendition isn't as accurate as a crt. leitch is now manufacturing an lcd scope which is just terrible to behold. the black area of the vectorscope is a huge, amorphous blob of white light that shows no signal detail whatsoever.
i don't know what to make of larry's statement as a quick check of the sony business website reveals only bvm crt's in their product lineup, no more pvm series. i haven't looked at the panasonic product catalog yet.
although the sony pvm L5 that shane mentioned is a quality product, to my eyes, i would get an ikegami monitor but you'll find that the superior imaging of the ikegami also has a superior price point.
one last point, don't buy an used monitor from ebay, you don't know where it's been or how it's been treated. give jvc monitors a fair shake as well, not a bad product for the price, no matter what their reputation is.
    good luck.
