Sony Movies app

What version of the movies app are you on? I'm stuck on version 6.1.A.0.20, though apparently this is not the latest available. Update centre tells me I have the latest updates installed!

I'm running version 6.2.A.0.8 however you will find that this update is firmware dependant and region dependant as it may simply not be released at the moment for your phone if branded or for your country

If you have the subtitle file,try to name it like the movie.But it would be best to use a 3rd party apps like BS player or MX player.

How to stop the Sony Movie Creator app

Hi, the Sony Movie Creator app on my Xperia keeps automatically creating movies and I personally find it creepy that all my personal photos and videos are being uploaded. Any way to stop this from happening?

They are not being uploaded, the app creates this videos and you decide if you want to save them on your phone or delete them, or you can just uninstall the app.

Movies app not playing movies...

hey guys i know that Tablet s supports 1080p mkv and 720p mp4 videos playback........
but today when i loaded a 720p movie the hobbit....it wont work in movies app...
the movie runs well in gallery app but does not work in movies app.......any suggestion
dont tell me to restart cause i did it....wiped my usb storage clean.....still no work

MKV ain't supported by sony ever they consider it a piracy container while its much more then that i agree.
anyway use mx player its much better supports anything you need subtitles need be enabled tough through menu, and their options for hardware acceleration and hardware acceleration+ but i dont known about tablet s1 having support for that just give it a try if it work.
the only nice thing about movies app is that it looks nice but it don't even support hardware+ acceleration i can see video slow down while it play butter smooth through mx player.

Albums and movie app keep freezing and crashing

ever since updating to 4.3 ive had issues, album app and movie app constantly freezes wont start crashes then tablet reboots. i get sytem process is not responding msg. ive done a factory reset still same problems. jut now tablet is just a coaster

I suggest that you to run your phone in safe mode for a while to check if you still experience this. If not this may be caused by any downloaded application.
How to boot into safe mode?
Also try to remove SD card if you have any inserted.

Movie app update problem in 8.0.A.0.4

the latest update of movie app 8.0.A.0.4 has some options missing that is the expand option for the playing video in full screen mode.please fix this problem soon with an other update

Movies app keeps crashing

I just finished watching a movie with the movies app it worked fine, but when I went to click on another movie the app crashed and the error message read "unfortunately, movies has stopped" now when I try to go back into it, it crashes after 5 seconds of the app being open even if I don't touch anything. I've tried restarting my tablet but its still crashing. Any ideas about how to fix this?

Akexdon's recommendation will likely solve the problem, however if it happens again please do pay attention to which video you are playing as this may be caused by a corrupt file.

AVCHD files no sound with Movie app

Hi Peter,
I world like to play back my AVCHD files from my sony camera using the included Movie app. But current version of the app only able to playback the video only but no sound. Also, do sony have any plan to add support of WMA with the Walkman app? Our family are long time sony users, all the way back to the days of betamax and "real cassette" walkmans. Please help us to stay with sony, thank.

Verizon To Add More .Tv Channels. Sony Movie Channel To Be Added.

Verizon is set to add more .tv channels where two of them are on their way. Legacy .tv a .tv channel from byron allen's entertainment studios will be added to the fios guide and another channel called "justice central .tv" is on its way where it is expected to be made available for fios customers soon. Justice central .tv is a channel that is all about court tv shows where what viewers will have an opportunity to watch are programs like "we the people with gloria allred" where she dishes out her own brand of justice to people who appear in her courtroom. It is a channel that will be all about judges yelling at plantiffs and defendants that will also have a lot of infomercials. That will make it 8 .tv channels where byron allen is also looking to create more .tv channels for verizon to add to their lineup since he has a contract with verizon to add any channel that he has to the fios guide. For the record verizon has entertainment studios .tv, pets .tv, recipe .tv, comedy .tv, my destination .tv, and cars .tv which won an emmy for "outstanding lifestyle program." Another channel that is on the way is the sony movie channel in hd where sony has already confirmed that the channel will be added in the next 2-3 months to the fios guide. Now i have never seen anyone make any requests for .tv channels and i have never seen anyone say that they wanted more of them to be added but that is going to change soon where not only will there be 8 but maybe by the end of the year there may be a total of 10,11,12 or maybe even 13. It all depends on how fast byron allen can create these channels because clearly verizon is willing to add as many of them as they can. There is a really long list of channels that fios customers have been asking for to be added to the guide where the competition has added them so it is not an outrageous request to ask verizon to at least match what the competition has to offer.

I am purchasing a new Macbook Pro after having my old one for six years. I have numerous apps that I have purchased and downloaded over the years. I don't want to loose them and really don't want to have to purchase them again. Can I and how can I move apps from my old Mac to my new one?

Be sure you back your current system up BEFORE you do anything. If you use Time Machine, migration assistant works well.

I picked up a new 16gb TouchPad a few months ago and love the heck out of it. I liked it so much that I got a refurb 32gb to replace it with so I would have enough space to store a pretty decent video library plus my tunes and pics. What I would like to do is to move all my apps that I bought off the 16gb and put them on the new 32gb Touchpad and then erase the 16gb and sell it. Is there a way to move apps between TouchPads?

So assuming this works, what happens to the apps on the 16gb? Can I still use them until I wipe it for sale? Will that cause a problem with data back ups if I were to use the apps and then backup the 16gb again?
