Sony phone with Quadband GSM and CDMA support

Can someone please recommend me a Sony phone comparable to Nokia 2730?
I'm looking for a Sony Ericsson phone with the following capability:
Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA 900/2100 and GSM 850/900/1800/1900
WCDMA 850/1900 and GSM 850/900/1800/1900
Automatic switching between GSM bands
It doesn't have to be a high-end 3G or smart phone. A simple one that could support those operating bands would be great. Sony Ericcson's website is not much help at these things, emphasizing too much on content capability but not the raw technical specifications.
Appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

In fact the SE website does give precise information on GSM and UMTS frequencies under the Specifications section of each phone.

Hi guys.Got a problem with my iPhone 5. I bought it in a shop 4 month ago. After I got a visitor with iOS 7 on his phone he would like to charge his phone with my Laptop and cable. But when he plugged it in it showed a message wich says: " This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this phone".
How is this possible? I then phoned the shop and told them my problem. When I gave them the details I also found out that the imei No. in the iPhone is the same as on the original box. But the the Serial numbers are different. I already try the support centre but I’m over the 90 days. And there is no Apple Store in Namibia. I hope someone can help me here. Thanks, Ralfar

You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money..

  • HT3939 Gsm and cdma inquiry in Middle east

which iPhone model support the both gsm and cdma  in middle east ??

Yemen is not listed as there are no LTE networks, as per this Apple Doc.
Also that Apple do not sell iPhones in Yemen, officially.
Moreover, CDMA iPhones are for a specific operator whereas GSM unlocked iPhones are available.
Please remember, Warranty and out-of-warranty services of iPhones are provided by Apple in the country of sale only.

can anyone help me find out what this is??? I Can't find any info anywhere

Definitely not a good situation to be in, as you never know who will call and complain of loosing connectivity.  Have you opened a ticket with TAC?
Unfortunately we don't get a lot of comments/questions on the SG series here.

You might be seeing the proximity sensor. It is how the phone tells when it's near your face and blanks the screen so you don't accidentally touch things with your cheek. It's near the front facing camera.

  • I synced my sisters phone with my itunes and now all her contacts have disappeared and been replaced with mine and also photos... she has never done a back-up is there any way we can get all her contacts and pictures back?

Look under iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is there a backup listed for her phone? First thing done when you sync is an iPhone backup. If you have not synced since screwing her phone up, restoring from that backup(if it exists) should restore her content. Do not sync after you restore her phone, eject it. So, first disable auto-sync on that same device pane in iTunes before you proceed. If this doesn't work, is your sister bigger than you? If so, run 'cause her data is gone .

  • Will there be a universal phone with 4G/LTE + Current CDMA + Foreign GSM?

This would be a true universal phone, yet I see none on the horizon:
    http://www.phonearena.com/phones/carriers/Verizon/upcoming
This would seem an obvious great niche to fill...  So where is this phone?  Any ideas why this niche isn't being filled?

While this sounds like a good idea, in reality it means now you have to find space for 3 radios and antennas in the same space you typically fit only one (or sometimes two).  And then tie them all together in the software.
The biggest question is if there will actually be a market for this type of device, nothing gets built if it won't sell.  My opinion is the market would be very limited.
I think that manufacturers will wait until LTE is established and working (reliably) on the Verizon network and then design phones with just LTE & GSM radios (no CDMA).  These will be the 'global' phones of the future (at least until the next technology comes out).
I don't think we will ever see a CDMA/LTE/GSM 'universal' phone, there is just not a big enough market for it.  Just my opinion.

  • My Iphone4 Home button sometimes work nicely and sometimes it stop working. India Apple care says they cant give me even paid support because i bought phone from Australia. i don't know what to do. i m disappointed with the product and service support

When you buy an iPhone in the U.S. it's locked to that country with the carrier you bought it for.
If you bought the device unlocked in the U.S. it's unlocked, you can use it on any carrier. Even one's outside the country.
If you want to do a repair on a device you bought in the U.S. and your using it in another country, you must send it back to the U.S. Why? That's where you bought it from.
AppleCare Protection Plans and AppleCare Limited Warranties are registered to your hardware.
    Your hardware is your iPhone.
Wherever hardware that was bought then that's the country it was designed to be used in and that's where it was manufactured.
Apple is very localized - if you call U.S. tech support, you'll speak to somone in your country.
So, what does all this mean?
In order to do a repair, you need to send it back to the country you got it from.
And we're all customers like you. We understand that you're upset, but Apple isn't gonna bend the rules to one individual.
Policy is policy. Get over it.

  • Does the iphone 5s A1533 works at GSM and CDMA?

My IPhone Was Purchased From USA.

CDMA does not use a SIM card for its network connection information (only for LTE data connection).  So a CDMA iPhone has to be pre-programmed for a specific CDMA network, and will only ever work on that one CDMA carriers network.
So if you have a USA CDMA A1533 it will only ever work on the specific USA CDMA carrier it was sold for.  If its GSM SIM slot is unlocked, then it will work with other GSM carriers, but it will never connect to any CDMA carrier other then that one carrier it was pre-programmed for.
The GSM only A1533 (AT&T and T-Mobile) has no CDMA capability at all.
