SONY RX100M3 LIGHTROOM 5.5 LENS PROFILE

Hello team, does anyone know how to obtain the Sony RX100M3 lens profile for Lightroom 5.5? I have been scouring the Internet for a solution but have not been able to find anything yet. There must be a way - would really appreciate your help with this! Thanks in advance.

Hi there... Is this verified?  I believed that camera profiles were simply colour profiles that allowed development of the RAW files.  I have not been able to find information anywhere that suggests that the profile contains an automatic lens correction.  There wasn't one for the RX100 or m2.  I created ones for it using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator and it seems to work fine.  I use Autopana to make panoramas and stretching the output from Lightroom without an additional lens profile for any RX100 proves very difficult which suggests there is still significant distortion.  After correction using my created profile they stitch fine, though this may be a fluke.
Not sure if I can upload lens profiles here, but I would be happy to share both the RX100/RX100m2 and the RX100m3 profile.  The RX100/m2 one is available from the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader, but despite me uploading the m3 profile, it has not yet appeared on the profile list in the tool. Perhaps that *does* imply that none is needed, but it would be nice if they'd let me know...
Hi,
It is totally unnecessary to have a separate lens profile as if you see my reply from Jul 28, 2014 12:48 PM the lens adjustments are included in the default profile as Sony provide the correction information in the RAW file.
To test it open the RAW file with another RAW processor that doesn't have lens correction capabilities and you will see the difference.
If you notice when you open in ACR or Lightroom where it says "Enable Profile Corrections" it says "Default" as it is supplied by Sony and it is not a removable lens camera.
The corrections are applied no matter what.

  • Adding a Lens Profile to lightroom from Adobe lens profile creator

Hi, I just made a lens profile from the lens profile creator for my Canon 80-200 2.8L. I then added the profile to the 1.0 folder that holds all the other lens profiles. However, lightroom does not list to profile as an option in the lens profiles. Is there something else that I need to do?

While the more recent PDF link still works, the “Lightroom Queen” has done some recent website maintenance and the URL for default locations of files is different:
    http://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/lightroom-5-default-locations/
Obviously the link I provided had my username “Steve” in it and you’d be substituting your username, instead.  Also the AppData folder is hidden so you have to either enable viewing hidden folders in Explorer or just type it into the Explorer address bar and hit Enter.
The other issue you might have, which was already talked about in the preceding discussion, is that camera profiles are specific to raw or non-raw formats and if what is in your DNG is a JPG then perhaps it wouldn’t work.
Would you mind providing the DNG and the associated camera profile via a website like dropbox.com and if you have it, the original file that was wrapped up as a DNG?

  • Lightroom 5.3: Lens Profile for AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G (Nikon D80) not in dropdown menu?

A few questions using Lightroom 5.3:
    1. Under the Lens Corrections tab in the Develop module, the  Lens Profile for AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G (Nikon D80) is not in the dropdown menu.  How do I download the profile or enter it manually?
    2. I am using RAW, but I do have many old images taken as JPG's that I am editing.  Does that make a difference as to which profile you would use?
    3. If it is set to 'Default' or 'Auto' is Lightroom automatically detecting which lens I am using?  I'm new at this.

  • Edit or copy a lens profile?

Ive got a Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6IS II canon lens (previously used a borrowed non vII) and come into a problem.
Lightroom has a lens profile for the old one, picks it up on auto and applies the correction perfectly so no problems.
However it DOESNT have a profile for the v2 lens which has a different lens ID but is optically identical - to get adjustments i have to go into every shot, choose custom, select canon etc.
Is there any way to copy the profile from the old lens and apply it to this new lens ID as well?
(i dont need to create a new profile, simply apply an existing one to another lens id)

  • Lens profile Leica V-LUX 4

    Hello
In lightroom 5, which lens profile to use for Leica V-LUX 4. I cannot find its lens profile: DC Vario-Elmar 4.5 - 108 mm f/2.8 ASPH.
    Thanks
    Badr

The Adobe Standard profile for this camera is already available and almost certainly the one already being used. Check to see the name of the profile set in Camera Calibration panel.
If you're hoping for Camera Standard or any of the other special profiles (e.g. portrai, landscape, etc) then I think you might be in for a long wait. Same applies if your expecting the profile to include the name of canmera vendor or model.

  • Sony rx100m3 should be recognized by LR 5.5 but it is not. I cannot get the lens profile

I got the new rx100m3 by sony. But I cannot get any lens profile, there is only the lens of the rx100/m2.
But in the list of supported cameras it is.
May there be a difference between the us- and german version? The supported cameras differ.

Update - I stayed up late last night and re-ran the lens profile creator at home on my Mac OS X 10.8.5.  Placed that LCP file in the directory I originally mentioned above (I overwrote the earlier LCP file created on a Windows machine), launched LR 5.3, and LR successfully matched the new profile with my lens.
Lesson learned - an LCP file created on Windows OS cannot be used on a Mac, and I assume, vice versa.  In retrospect, this shouldn't be a surprise (but some other file formats appear to work on either).  I wonder if Adobe translates user submitted LCP files from one platform to the other, so that downloads are offered to the community equally on either platform...

  • Lens Profiles not working in Lightroom 5.4?

I've got OSX 10.9.2, Lightroom 5.4, latest Camera raw, everything up to date.
When I "Enable Profile Corrections" for an image shot with a Sony a7r and Sony FE 55mm lens, it should automatically retrieve this profile:
      /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/Sony/SONY (Sony FE 55mm F1.8 ZA) - RAW.lcp
Well, it doesn't.  The only Sony lens available in Lightroom's Lens Correction panel is "Sony DT 18-200mm."  But there are several dozen Sony lense profiles in the "Sony" directory.
And more puzzling, the camera "Make" menu lists 8 manufacturers (Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron) but leaves out a number of others — Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Leica, Mamiya, etc.
And as with Sony, only one Tamron lens is listed.
I've tried re-installing Lightroom fresh, and no luck.
Photoshop works fine and has all the lens profiles.
Anyone else noticing this?  Got a fix?
    Irked in Cambridge,
    Mike

I only shoot in RAW, and I am having this same issue. I shoot Nikon with a Tokina lens. This morning, Tuesday October 14, 2014, I had this setting. I closed the program and restarted it, and now I only have Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron lens profiles. There was not an update, nor did I actually change any settings. What is going on here?
I talked to customer support, whom suggested that I was stoned out of my mind because these profiles do not exist in lightroom. I did as the rep asked, followed the link and downloaded the "new" profile. Now I can't get it installed. Meanwhile, my photos are waiting for me to edit them. Can someone please help out here?!

  • How to use lens profile from Lightroom 5 in Lightroom 4

I'm using Lightroom 4.4 on a five-year-old iMac.  I haven't been able to upgrade to LR 5 because it requires an operating system upgrade, but the technicians at the Apple Store say my machine is too old for the upgrade.  I just bought a new Sony 18-105 lens which requires siginificant software lens correction.  It has been included in the latest ACR in LR 5, but not LR 4.  Is there any way I can locate and load the lens profile for just this one lens in my LR4?  I've looked and there is no profile in the Adobe Porfile Downloader I can use.

Zenfolio purposely disables saving of images from the gallery, so requires some deviousness to get to a smallish version of the underlying JPG image, here:
    http://fiegenschuhphotography.zenfolio.com/cdn/pub/uf9epzjb9ekl/0/null/mk/2ho0rvxl_mbq61ne tqcu/s2/v61/p207717972-3.jpg
Figgie123, can you provide an original-sized raw file to test with?  Upload it to somewhere like www.dropbox.com then post the public download link, here. The file on Zenfolio is small, difficult to even download, and isn't what you're working with when the lens profiles are not working for you.  The idea is to repeat what you're doing to see if we have the same issues.
Here is what applying a Sony E PZ 18-105 F4 G OSS profile looks like in Photoshop Lens Corrections and I don't really see any change compared with the Zenfolio image:

  • Lens Profile Not Showing Up in Lightroom 5.7

Despite the profile for a particular lens appearing in (what I presume to be) the correct places on my hard drive (see paths below), the lens profile does not appear in the drop-down within LR panel for Lens Corrections / Lens Profile.  Other new Sony lenses (FE series) do show up but not ALL of them that are in either location (paths below).  Weird.  What am I missing?
The profile does show up in ACR 8.8.  Similarly, Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 populates the profile automatically when I use Filter>Lens Correction but it just won't appear in Lightroom.
Background: CC subscriber, Lightroom 5.7.1, Win 8.1, 64-bit; I have restarted my computer and LR several times.
Profile that is not appearing: SONY (Sony FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS) - RAW.lcp
    I see it here:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Sony
    and here:
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Sony
The camera (Sony a7ii) also appears in the related "Camera Profile" locations and it does show up in the "Make" drop-down in LR.
    Thanks for any help,
    Bill

    Thank you.
    Worked perfectly.

  • Looking for lightroom lens profile for tamron lens

I am using lightroom 5 at work and shot some images with a canon 5d2 body with tamron 24-70 2.8 vc and tamron 70-200 2.8 vc lense. According to the note below, both lens are supported since lightroom 4.1.  However I can not find the profile of these two lens on lightroom 5.  Does anyone how I can bring the profile back in?  Thanks.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support-lightroom-4.html

The ProgramData folders are for Photoshop and are probably as old as the newest version of PS or DNG Converter you have.
The lens profiles for Lightroom 4 and 5 are under LR's Resources subfolder:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom x.x\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\
(x.x = whatever version of LR you have)
For my LR 4.4  I have the following 16 subfolders under LensProfiles\1.0:
    Apple
    Canon
    Fujifilm
    Hasselblad
    Leica
    Mamiya
    Nikon
    Pentax
    Phase One
    Samsung
    Schneider
    Sigma
    Sony
    Tamron
    Tokina
    Zeiss
LR 5.3 adds DJI and GoPro as manufacturers for a total of 18 subfolders.

  • Need lens profile rokinon 14mm for sony nex7

Please does anyone know if there is a Lightroom 5 lens profile for Rokinon(aka Bower/Samyang)  14 mm for sony nex 7??
    Thanks

The Adobe Lens Profile implementation is not camera model specific.  Cameras with the same sensor size should theoretically be able to use the same lens profiles regardless of the camera make or model. Adobe also provides the capability of using lens profiles from larger sensor size (full-frame) cameras with images shot using smaller sensor (APS-C) camera models (i.e. Crop Factor). As best I can tell the Adobe and User created lens profiles are agnostic, except for image file type. Different lens profiles are required for raw and JPEG images. As long as the lens profile crop factor is the same or smaller than the target camera it should work just fine. The Sony Nex7 has a 1.5 Crop Factor sensor size, so any lens profile with a 1.5 to 1 crop factor should work. Lens profiles with the nearly same sensor size 1.6 crop factor should also work.
The Adobe Lens Profile Downloader lists numerous lens profiles for this lens under 'Camera Make' Nikon for both raw and JPEG. You could also use any of the lens profiles that appear under 'Camera Make' Canon.
    1) Download and install the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader for Windows or Mac.
    2) Launch the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader, select a suitable lens profile, and download it. Add as many as you like!
    3) Close and reopen LR, select an image shot with the 14mm lens, go to Develop> Lens Corrections panel, and select 'Make' same as you downloaded (i.e. Nikon), and under 'Model' scroll down to the bottom of the list and you should see the downloaded profile(s). Test it with the 14mm images.
    4) If satisfied select in the Lens Profile panel Setup> 'Save New Lens Profile Default.'
These profiles are created and submitted by users with varying degrees of technical-expertise. The lens profiles have a 'Rating,' based on some metric. Please keep in mind that 100% distortion and vignetting correction can actually make the image look worse, especially with a wide-angle lens. Most wide angle lenses have barrel type distortion and when corrected with the LR Lens Profile tool you will see corner "stretching," which creates cropping and volume anamorphosis. Images also tend to look more natural when there is a slight amount of vignetting left in the image. I typically use 0% Distortion and 50% Vignetting and only adjust them higher in images where it is visible. YMMV.....

  • 'Adobe Lens Profile Creator, SONY-SRF-Files in DNG konvertieren leider nicht möglich'

    Hallo
