Sony SA-NS300 airplay or music service support

Will the Sony SA-NS300 ever get airplay or music service support. I got two SA-NS300 when I got my STR-DN1020 receiver. I didn't think airplay would be important but the app to control SA-NS300 from iPhone and Adroid is terrible. You can't access any local music on the phone or table with the app or steam internet radio from the device, it's totally dependent on a DLNA server or desktop running.
I got two SA-NS500 to replace the SA-NS300s but I would still like to reuse the SA-NS300 instead of adding to my eJunk collection or ebay. I would be lucky if I could get $30 for each on ebay.
Any info will help me decide what to do with old electronics. What a waste of money.

Hello Solidstate,
Thank you for your post.
we will forward your request to have the features of the  NS500 added to the  NS300 for airplay.  We cannot speculate future  firmware updates, nor can we answer if a product will in the future have functionality it currently does not have.
we can forward a request for additional  services to be added to an existing product, and have done so as you have requested.   We can only answer questions on drivers, products, and assistance with products that have been released to the public and cannot provide an answer to future events. nor can we provide  a guess when or if any of these features will be implimented.

  • Nokia Music Service Unavailible

On my Lumia 920 and my daughters Lumia 820 we cant play any music from the Nokia Music service.  It previously worked.  We have tried with WiFi and Cellular conections.
    The service appears down.
When we go to a mix radio station the first song comes up.  Then it times out and goes to the next song.

  • Desktop Mgr: Music services failed to load.

Hello, I've tried to reinstall the desktop manager, formatted the 16GB Media Card, in the Memory section of the Options (Compression - Disabled, Media Card Support - On, Media Transfer Protocol - On, Mass Storage Mode - On, Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connnected - Yes).
I can sync Pictures, Videos, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks.  However, when I select Music from Media Sync I get "Music Services Failed to Load "An unexpected error occurred."

  • Dissapointed for Nokia Music services

    Hi,
I have to admit that I'm more than dissapointed for the Nokia Music service. I have E90, thus not being the Nokia Music device, I really hope Nokia advertised Music models don't have these kind of problems I have met. And I think problem are not technical but rather the logic how implementation has been done. Here are m y concerns
    1) I wonder why Nokia Music application and E90 has nothing to do with each other i.e. I cannot load music from Nokia Music to my E90?
    2) Instead I have to use PC suite but that doesn't work as the music I have downloaded is protected!
    3) Prize for download is huge compared to any other music download service in internet.
    - worried stakeholder -

Sorry to hear of your disappointment.
The Nokia E90 unfortunately does not support playback of DRM protected music. You can play normal mp3s ripped from your own CDs, but not protected songs like those from the music store.
For a list of devices compatible with the Nokia Music store, go to:
    http://www.nokia.com/music
For compatible devices, PC Suite does NOT transfer DRM protected tracks. You need to download NOKIA MUSIC for PC for a mobile optimized transfer:
    http://music.nokia.com/download
The USB connection for transferring songs must be "MEDIA" (like "Media Player" / "Media Transfer" / or "Printing and Media" ) PC Suite or Data Transfer will not work
Not sure what you mean about the price of music being high. Tracks are 1euro in most of Europe and I think 80 pence in the UK. 1 cent higher than iTunes. The price of an over the air download via wifi is the same as PC, which is unlike most operator music stores which often charge premium prices for mobile downloads.
For Comes With Music, the price is almost unbelievably low. For less than the cost of about 1 normal cd a month, you get UNLIMITED music downloads for a year...to KEEP, not just for the length of your subscription but forever...AND you get a mobile phone, camera, videocamera, webbrowser, gaming machine, calculater, music player, etc.

I want to sync my iCloud library with my iPhone
Depending on your chosen settings, you can sync your iTunes & iCloud library with your phone at any time. You can change the settings in your phone or iTunes at anytime. Please remember that syncing your music over a mobile network will use data. For more information regarding syncing, please see https://support.apple.com/
What happens when I change my phone?
As long as you’ve used your Apple ID, your music preferences & created playlists will be available on your new iOS phone. Customers will need to re-download any of their tracks, albums or playlists to their new phone for offline listening.
I have a companion Telstra Mobile account. Can I have Apple Music?
Yes you can, though your Apple Music subscription will need to be added by the legal lessee of your account – the owner of the main Post-Paid account that your companion account is attached to. Your parent/guardian can add Apple Music to your account via My Account, Retail store or by calling 13 22 00. All eligible Post-Paid accounts have the ability to take up the Telstra offer so you and your companion can both get the offer separately.
I have purchased a new phone on a new contract but I don’t have my new phone or sim yet. When is my Apple Music account active?
Your Apple Music account will be active once you activate your new sim. This is generally when you receive your new phone. You will receive an SMS confirming your Apple Music subscription is active.
I have recontracted to a new Telstra mobile contract but my new phone is on backorder. Can I start using my Apple Music subscription on my current phone?
If you’re not changing phone number you’ll receive an SMS confirming your Apple Music subscription. This indicates that you’re now eligible to start using your Apple Music subscription on any compatible device, including your current mobile phone.
When you receive your new phone simply login with the same Apple ID and your saved playlists and music preferences will be available. You’ll need to re-download any tracks, albums or playlists to your new phone for offline listening.
Can I use my Apple Music subscription on my SONOS speaker system?
Apple Music is currently not compatible with SONOS. Please refer to the compatibility list.

  • HT4437 I'm using an ATV2 and an ipad successfully for with airplay. Now I added a brand new ipod touch to the setup. However, for some reason airplay for music doesn't work if my projector connected via HDMI2DVI connector is turned off.

If I turn on the projector it works fine. Interesting fact is, that this is exactly the same behavior that I have when playing videos from the iPad. Worth to mention is that the ATV2 is connected to the speakers via optical cabIe. Is there a setting that I'm missing? I can't imagine that Airplay for music from the iPod requires a turned on Video device connected to the ATV2. Thanks.

Hy Alley_Cat, that was the last bit on information that I wanted to add to the question. All devices say they are up to date. Which means that iPad and iPod run 5.0.1 and ATV 2 4.4.4(3330).

    Tank you!
    Sorry for my bad english
    Greetings from Germany

I found the answer, here in the forum from a user:
Here is the solution that worked for me, based on antoniovtorres post (I resisted the urge to get PO'd and tried to figure out what he must have done):
With desktop manager closed, using Blackberry user tools, navigate to 'Blackberry\system\' (make sure that hidden files are shown or you won't see the 'system' folder).
Move or delete the folders 'Media Sync' and 'media' from the system directory.
    Re-open desktop manager.
Click yes to any dialog that appears.
You should now be able to sync music again.
Note that your device may want to double up on your synced pictures and videos, so you may want to delete your pictures and videos off of the device before your next picture or video sync. Hope it works for y'all.
    Scott
    It works again!
    Yeah!
    BlackBerry rocks!

  • Desktop Mgr 6 - "Music services failed to load"

    I've got a T-Mobile Curve 8520.
This afternoon I uninstalled Desktop Mgr 5.0.1 and Office 2007 (with Outlook). I then installed Office 2010 (with Outlook), and finally installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0.0.
Almost everything works, but when I try to go to the Music page in the new Desktop Manager I see this:
    Music services failed to load
    An unexpected error occurred.
I've confirmed that the media card is enabled to act as a Mass Storage Device. I've rebooted the laptop, and shut down and restarted the 8520. I've closed and opened and closed Outlook and Windows Media Player. Desktop Manager is configured to use WMP, not iTunes.
Does anybody have any ideas as to how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Steve
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks, I didn't even think of looking there. (Sure feel dumb now! )
An error I see in the log states "INNER EXCEPTION: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException -- MESSAGE: Specified argument was out of the range of valid values". The parameter involved relates to a path. It occurred to me that the problem may be due to my music library being stored on a NAS and not the local hard drive, so I removed that library and only used a music library on my D: drive (same physical drive as C: ), but the problem remained.
If I set the Desktop Manager software to use iTunes the music pane loads without problem.
I've attached the log to this post. Thanks for your help.

  • Does web service support all the properties in the standalone BI console?

    Hi,
Currently I am using BI web service API to get the report and its parameters and so on. But I find that the object definition in the web service can't be full defined to match the properties in the console UI. For exaple, ReportDefinition object there is no description property, so I can't get the desc by the ReportDefinition object (By now I don't know how to get it). Another sample is, there is no Parameter object defined in the web service, only ParamNameValue object, so I can't get the default value for the parameter defined in the console UI.
Is there any solution for me?
    HELP!!!

It is just not working for me. I am using static stub.
After tracking the HTTP traffic, I found that the WL70 server is not issuing any
cookie. I have configured all the parameters for tracking session in the web application,
but I still don't see any cookie in the HTTP headers from the server. I also tried
to invoke the service using a browser, still no cookie seen. Is this a bug or
there is some other configuration for the server?

By default client will maintain the session. You dont have to set this

Are you using static or dyn client?
Also, you should use the same instance of the stub for all your invokes

Does anybody know how to make WL70 Web Service support sessions?
The "javax.xml.rpc.session.maintain" property on Stub does not seemto
    work.
Without session support, it is almost no use for us because we haveto
    authenticate

  • Still having problems with Yahoo's Music Service and my Zen Mi

I think I did a pretty good job searching the forums for a solution to my issue, so please don't flame me if I missed something
I'm having major licensing issues with Yahoo's Unlimited Music Service, even after doing the following:
. I'm running Windows XP SP2 (all updates accounted for and installed)
    2. I'm running Windows Media Player 0
    3. I installed the Windows DRM patch for this issue: KB8922
    4. I upgraded the firmware for my Zen Micro from the factory setting to .02.05
I'm still getting errors in MediaSource stating that a license is required to transfer the file I downloaded from Yahoo Unlimited. I get similar errors when trying to transfer in Yahoo's Music Engine.
I read in the forums that firmware version .02.05 is more recent than 2..02. Is this correct? If so, shouldn't version .02.05 have all the enhancements and functionality found in v2?
In any case, this was a gift to my wife for her birthday, and it's currently useless to her at the moment, so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    T.

Thanks for the quick reply, Jason.
I've tried updating from .02.05 to 2..02 several times (although other posts on this forum suggest that this shouldn't be possible). After the dri've on the Micro is formatted during the upgrade process, I get an error when the unit tries to reboot stating that the unit 'can't be started correctly', and that I should reboot and start the process over. The update process fails in the same place every time.
I've tried disabling the Enable Detector feature in MediaSource before updating, but that doesn't help either.
Now, I'm guessing that the only way to upgrade to 2..02 was from .0.03, but I evidently chose poorly. Is there <EM>anything</EM> I can do, or am I stuck with crippled functionality?
    Thanks again for your help!

Does Azure Media Services support file format such as rmvb or 3gp ,and so on.I want to know what file format I can play with Azure Media Services exactly,Thanks.

The encoding for Windows Azure Media Services is currently based on Expression Encoder.  Expression Encoder's supported list is at

  • Legal music services question

    Hi-
I got a new 30 gb video ipod for Xmas and was wanting to download a few tracks from an album that is out of print.
iTunes has a partial album available for download, but a few tracks are missing, including the one I'd like to get most.
What legal music services do you use if this happens to you? I'm looking for a place where I can purchase the track and import it into my iTunes library to play on my iPod.
I found a few different sources, but it seems they all use protected .WMA files and I don't think will play on iPod.
Please let me know. I'd really like to download this track to complete the album, which is out of print and unavailable in stores anymore.
    Thanks

What I'm looking for is another legal music service (ie, Napster, MSN Music, etc.) where I can download individual songs and then put them in my iTunes library and then onto my iPod.
There's an album I'd like to get from iTunes that is only partial...iTunes doesn't have all the tracks.
I was wondering if all you iPod users have a music store OTHER than iTunes (like Napster or MSN Music) where you download songs and put them on your ipod.
Napster and MSN use protected .WMA files, which do not transfer to iPod, as far as I know. If there's a way to purchase music from one of the places and get them onto an iPod, please let me know, cause I haven't found a way.
