Sony smartband SWR10 - Losing Charge

I have had my Sony smartband for almost 6 months with no problems. Now for some reason it is losing charge very quickly.
Give it a full charge (minimum 45 mins). Band says battery life is 4 days 23 hours) and then within 2 hours it's decreased to 3 days n 2 hours). This has happened for the past 3 days. The battery is not lasting 12 hours.
Has anybody else had this problem? Is it a fault with the device or something to do with the lifelong app draining my battery? I'm using software version 2.8.A.0.16 if that helps any.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you to either turn off and back on the band or try to reset it:

  • Sony Smartband SWR10 when will the lifelog app be available?

So my Smartband is in the mail heading my way apparently but the Lifelog app is nowhere to be seen...
So I'll just carry this wristband around for no reason for a while then shall I?

  • Smartband SWR10 doesn't appear in Lenovo S850

Hi!I have got a Sony Smartband SWR10 for my birthday recently and I have a Lenovo S850 phone. The phone has Android 4.4.2 and Bluetooth 4.0 (Not sure if it has BLE as well).I have downloaded all three apps needed (SmartConnect, LifeLog, Smartband) from Google Play.My problem is that when I pair my smartband with the phone, after pairing, the smartband doesn't appear in notification area, neither in the Smartconnect app under devices. What should I do about this? Thanks in advance!

There should not be any trick to it. After downloading Smart Connect and the SWR10 app, pair them using NFC or manually search for bluetooth devices from the phone and add the SWR10 as a device.
What you can try is to update the phones firmware if you haven't already, try starting Smart Connect before you do the pairing and try both NFC-paring and manual pairing. See this link for more informartion: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/swr10/faq/i-cant-set-up-my-smartband-to-work-with-my-android-device-3/ (click "More" for information on how to reset and pair).

  • Smartband SWR10 not starting

    Hello there.
My Smartband SWR10 is not starting(?). It's fully charged but yet I am unable to get it to start, and thus unable to pair it with my device (Xperia Z2).
I've tried to reset the SWR10 using the guide* below, but that's not working either, I can't get the notification light to flash.
So I am pretty much starting to think that my SWR10 is defect. May that be the case or is there something else I can try to do?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Battery in 2-month old MacBook Pro seems to be losing charge faster.

The battery in my 2-month old MacBook Pro seems to be losing charge more quickly.  Also does not charge to 100% as it used to when new.

    Hi A,
You have 3 months of free AppleCare phone support, and a 1 year hardware warranty. If I was concerned about anything on my new MBP, I'd contact Apple.

  • My ipad battery is losing charge fast, how do I combat this?

I've recently updates to iOS 7.1 and I don't have any multi tasking animation (but I know why that is and I don't care), but my iPad 2 has been losing charge fast and not charging well. I don't have the apple charge cable that came with it I have another one from eBay, (it only charges well when it's turned off)

    Hello Xboxanda,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
    iPad: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4060
    Charging tips
iPad is designed to charge with the USB power adapter provided in the box. iPad will charge with any Apple USB Power Adapter and will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port. When attached to a computer through a standard USB port (most PCs or earlier Mac computers) iPad will charge, but only when it's in sleep mode. Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad through USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

  • What should I do if my Ipod Touch keeps losing charge a lot?, What should I do if my Ipod Touch keeps losing charge a lot?

My Ipod touch (3rd generation I believe) keeps losing charge really fast after I charge it and when it's charging the apple symbol keeps popping up.  Also, when I plug it into my computer it doesn't show up on my iTunes.  What should I do?

    Start here.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
When you get iTunes to see the iPod try the standrd fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing wil be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
You could have a bad battery that needs replacment.  I can't really tell since you did say how long the battery lasted.

  • IPod touch losing charge

My iPod touch is 6 months old, but it is losing charge faster than it should. I took it in recently, and I was told that the problem was memory issues. I was asked to fully restore it as a new one. I did this, but it still has the same problem. I will take it in again, but in the meantime, has anyone else experienced the problem? If so, how is it solved?

Almost sounds like a failing battery. How fast is fast, what are you running when the battery drains fast?

  • IPhone 5 getting hot and losing charge quickly

My iPhone loses charge within 5 hours, even on standby or when it's completely turned off. I took to to the apple store and they ran a test and said it was my battery, so I bought a new one. This didn't help. I also tried resetting to factory settings and this didn't work either. And yes I've tried the obvious things like closing apps, turning off Bluetooth, etc. help!

I have had my iphone 4s since April and after the initial required charge I have always chargd it daily every morning for about 90 mins or until it shows 100% charged. But, since middle of last week it is losing charge very quicky coming down from 100% to zero and switching itself off after about 6 hours ?? To give it the best possible chance I have switched off Bluetooth and made sure all apps are off.
I booked an appointment at the Apple Genius bar and after telling me that I need to charge the phone for 6 hours daily regardless of the battery level indicator showing 100% they replaced the battery with a new one and sent me packing. Last night I charged it as advised for at least 6 hours and guess what from 100% to switching itself off due loss of charge took about 6 hours !!!
I will return to the "Genius" Bar on Thursday to try again.

  • Iphone 5 getting hot and losing charge, iphone 5 getting hot and losing charge

Since returning from far east my iphone 5 is now getting very hot and losing charge within half a day at maximum

It is normal for the phone to be warm when the device is being used, or charged.  If it is uncomfortably so, you should probably visit an Apple Retail store and have them take a look, or call AppleCare if you are still under warranty.  They can run a diagnostic to see if there is a problem (But the apple retail store can likely do more as they can visually inspect the device in addition to the diagnostic test).

  • IPod Touch 3rd Gen-- hot to touch, losing charge quickly

IPod Touch 3G has been losing charge rather quickly , today it started getting extremely hot on back bottom- is it dying?

It sounds like you have a hardware problem. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • IPod nano 5th generation battery is losing charge

My iPod nano 5th generation battery is losing charge. I do not use this this ipod alot because I have older ipod iPod nano (3rd generation) which I like better. The problem is this ipod gos dead even if I don't use it. This ipod will not shut off and thats why it gos dead.
Is there any way to troubleshoot thlis ipod nano 5th generation to find out how and why it will not shut off, because this should not go dead if your not using it...

The iPod Nano 5th generation does not actually shut off. It "sleeps" by pressing the pause button until the screen goes black. To keep the battery from losing its charge, keep the iPod Nano connected to your computer, wall charger or a charging dock when not in use.
When the iPod is left unattended (not charging), the battery will still lose its charge. This is mentioned in the battery section of the iPod Nano 5th Gen. User Manual.

  • Is my ipad batter losing charge faster?

I just bought a new charger for my ipad 4. To replace my apple one that came with ipad. The charger I bought is a 10 watts belkin lightning cable. It feels like the battery of my ipad dies quicker than when I used the apple one. Is it just me or is it actually losing charge faster than when I used the apple one.

The charger can't make a difference in the time the battery discharges. I'm not sure, but I believe you Apple charger was rated at 12 watts. The 10 w charger will take longer to charge.
Try this first -  Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Smartband SWR10 vibration has gone really weak

I've been happily using the SWR10 for several months with viration good on my wrist for notifications and waking me up.
Just recently though the vibration has gone really weak. You can barely feel it when holding the unit directly. So it's not enough when on my wrist.
I don't find anywhere to change the vibration intensity, so could it be broken? I haven't done anything crazy with it :-(
