Sony Update Engine Failure (error 100)

Hello.
I got a message to update my phone software, when I conected my phone to my pc, and after I started the process i got the Sony Update Engine Failure (error 100) message. Now I CAN'T USE MY PHONE. Every time I start it i get the message:
the software update failed make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again
What now?
And please don't tell me to delete/restore my phone because i'm not gonna do that. I have important data on that phone and I'm not gonna delet it just because you can't make something work ok.

Today I tried to update my sony xperia z2 with pc companion and afew minutes passed after that it said the update started and now it just shows this error: Unable to download your device software. Please check your internet connection or try again later and after that you choose close it says error 100.
Please help me! I'm realy confused. I tried following step:
1-Restart pc
2-Using proxy
3-installing new java

Already tried troubleshooting. Sony PC companion has been allowed to communicate through windows firewall.
Laptop runs on windows 8 with usb 3 ports.
Tried installing and running PC companion on a desktop with winows 7 and usb 2 port but same error.
Switched off the firewall as well and tried again error occurs again.
Read similar posts regarding error 1601 but none relating to Xperia Z1.
Can someone please help me?!

I've been trying to update my Arc S for two weeks via the Sony PC Companion and Update Servce.
All I get is Sony Update Engine failure (1200). The online server is currently overloaded.
Seriously what is going on at your end, it shouldnt be that hard?
Customers shouldnt have to "break into" their phones to hack a software update.

Xperia Z3: sony update engine faliure (error 1200)

Hi Sony,
I recently baught Xperia Z3, and am trying to update it...getting the error "Sony Update Emgine faliure (error 1200)
please assist. I attaching the error image also.

I found a solution for this issue:
follow these steps:
1, disable firewall and antivirus also.
2, ON internet data in mobile phone 3G or 4G and start USB tethering, settings--more--tethering and portable hotspot--USB tethering.
3, connect your laptop using tethering. dont use the internet connection which was showing error 1200.
4, if PCC already updated no issues..otherwise uninstall and reinstall again.
5, connect xperia phone with tethering ON.
6, Check drivers are installing. 2 No.s drivers will be installed including RNDIS drivers.
7, Start updating or repairing software.
8, usually error wil popout at preparing step in PCC. now, that step should complete.
9, Let software download to your PC begin with phone tethering. after downloading 30% or more, if data is a concern..disconnect tethering and connect normal internet. Downloading should continue..
10, once downloading continues, update or repair your xperia. should be successful.
i did this yesterday 13/5/15 for my Z3 as i was experiencing this error 1200 more than a year. i updated 23.1.A.1.28 firmware by this method.
no issue at all till the process completed.. easy steps though.I'm using USB dongle for internet.. that could cause this issue.. once i tethered my phone, no issue ..try this and if succeded, please forward to others.

I have the same problem! Before Lollipop comes, i did all the latest updates for Android kitkat and it works normally, but for Lollipop, The sony Mobile Engine won't work, they told me that Sony stopped it and make it payable. I tried many solutions, IPV6, connection, Anti virus, nothing worked so desapointed !

Sony update engine could not be installed

Recently i bought a xperia z1 and because of some issues wanted to repair the software through pc companion as the update service is no longer available.But i can not repair my phone cause every time a error message is popping up by saying update engine could not be installed.Then i uninstalled and installed the pc companion several times also opened it as administrator and also in compatible mode as i am using windows 8 and also installed a sony update engine file about 50 mb and also installed the update service software but nothing worked.Everytime same thing happens.I used to update my previous phone xperia sp with the same pc but did not face any problems but now with xperia z1this problem is occuring.......:-(

Hi , i request to please not to buy sony any phone which they claim water proof the reason even if it cross (ADP of 6 months ) they say it cannot be repaired you have to pay 50% amount to get a new one. Battery problem same issue. In my case my phone was in warrenty when i put this in Airport hand bagagge scanner screen got cracked by radiation of scanner. when i approached service center they lifted their hand, extend warrent guys all lifted hands saying it is physicaly damage but concern was it was not miss handled but it has damaged due to poor manufcating defect and not by any impact. I have submitted my hand to sony service center as i dont have option,i have been verbally communcated saying be ready for 20K payment to get a new one. I request ALL MY FRINEDS PHONE IS GOOD TILL YOU DON;T FACE ANY ISSUE THE MOMENT YOU FACE THIS YOU ARE LOCKED TO SONY.

Connect your phone to a wall charger, press and hold power and volume up for 10 seconds, let it charge for two to three hours. Then repair the phone with PCC.

Acrobat Update Installation Failure, Error 1310

I can't complete installation of my latest Adober Acrobat Update (10.1.1). It starts installing, then rolls back and terminates, Error 1310, telling me that I don't have access to a certain directory. What's up with that?

Xperia Z2 Lollipop Update PC Companion Error 11 and other Xperias problem in updating

Hi,
I'm trying to update my Xperia Z2 D6503 to 5.0 Lollipop throuh Sony PC Companion. However, when it finishes preparing it says "Unable to run update components on your computer" and "Unable to communicate with Sony Update Engine (error 11)."
I've tried disabling my firewall but that doesn't help either.
Some details that might be helpful:
- my Xperia Z2 D6503 was bought unlocked from a local Sony Store
- my computer is Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium
- I received the notification for the update (or saw it) around 4pm PST

Decided to update my iPod 4 gen to iOs 5 from 4.1
During the updating iTunes (10.5 versions) gave me somekind of error. Somekind of: Updating failure-blah-blah-blah. So, I decided to restore my iPod. Opened iTunes, clicked restore (or smth like that, i have a russian iTunes, so i don't know how this button is in English), iTunes began to restore...but then an error 2003 appeared. I don't know what's that, there is no information in guides on apple. com, so I decided to ask u for help.
p/s I did it all from Admin profile.
Windows Xp x32.

2003 is not listed there. I also searched Apple support for 2003 and found nothing.

RMMR1MRS report when run in background cause update failure errors .
There are few below reason for the error log.
1. for the PO invoice already generated - (its right if already invoice generated. should not happen again)
2. In MIGO, entire quantity has been reversed and also invoice generated with zero value - ( its right , should not happen invoice again )
3. Particular PO line item deleted - (its right if the PO line item deleted. ERS settlement not require)
For the all above reason, the update error occurs. But the mean time the program "RMMR1MRS" should not through the update error log.
Note: The job was not terminated due to this update error and also no harm because of the error log
can you please help on this update failure why it occurs.

When I go into itunes I get the message - itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes,
how am I supposed to do this ?
I would rather take the ipod to someone to do the restoration - I still have itunes with all of my downloads on my computer, I dont want to risk losing this as I can re-install onto my ipod when it is sorted.
