Sony VAIO (VGN-NW130D) - Will Sony provided Windows 10 drivers for this model?

Hello Sony, I have a Sony VAIO (VGN-NW130D). I purchased it new in 2009. It had Windows Vista preinstalled and a bought a Windows 7 disc for my computer. What if you bought a Windows 7 disc? I have tried to install Windows 10 by forcing it to do so by command prompt, and by Installing it from Microsoft's website. Both tries where unsuccessful. It would get stuck on the black upgrading screen at 32% overall and 6% installing windows features and drivers. I reserved my copy of Windows 10 and my computer meets Windows 10 requirements. If my computer meets Microsoft's requirements my PC manufacturer should provide the Windows 10 drivers. If Sony choose not to provided Windows 10 drivers for all their PC that are compatible with Windows 10, it will be really off putting and resulting in me never purchasing another Sony PC. It tarnishes a company's reputation when they do unfair things like this. This would just not be fair Sony. I hate to say this about E-MU but the way they are dealing with Vista Drivers is unprofessional. I am a repeat customer of Creative products and was so impressed by my old Platinum eX that I bought a second to run duals for tons of audio processing. That was back in the day. Then I jumpped ship and tried out an M-Audio Firewire 40. That did not last too long beforei was completely unimpressed. So I came back to Creative... Purchased a 820 in the box. So impressed I turned around and purchased a 66 in the box just 8 months later. Both ran smooth as butter... All until i just recently built my new system designed primarily with audio production in mind.
With a setup like this, who needs a mac?

E-MU is caught pushing release dates.
Last month it said they would release beta drivers middle of April...
I waited, patiently I might add.
I waited<waited some more, I try running xp drivers... computer wont even try to install them properly.
My software waits, computer waits, turns into a gameing machine just because my all together 600 dollar investments in Creative are not important enough to leld me the drivers i need to be producti've in what i love.
I need x64 drivers stat. I need them working, I need them installable without a glitch, a hitch, no driver signing problems, no questions, no fuss no muss. I find it ironic that you guys at E-MU are willing to jump right in there and make sure to have drivers compatable for you new products, yet faithful advocats of the most powerful soundcards you have are sitting here dead in the water because you dont find it nessesary to place priority on ready and waiting end users who have purchased long term support buy investing large amounts of moola into hardware from your company.
Come on, its not like the 820 or the 66 are exactly legacy technology. We are talking about Hardware that is only two years old and should be usable for up to 6 years. This is deffinatly a strike against the company and just goes to show where Creative stands.
I have stood by waiting in silence for a very long time.
Now i think my time has come to tell how i feel and i believe there are alot of others out there that feel the same. the only items that do not work soothly are my E-MUs... go figure.
And I have been looking forward to all i can do running both of them side by side.
Oh yes, and that link posted above to the beta news for vista... its a joke. open up your betas, and have a real dev tell us what the hang ups are... At least give us real concreate reasons why it is taking so long.
with that said, when you guys get yoru act together and get me some drivers, I will sit happy as a lark.

I already checked that page. On the first time I was trying to install Vista on a clean hard drive. The installation process finishes without errors but after installation Vista shows me a lot of error messages, mostly about unknown hardware. So I installed all available drivers I have found on Toshiba web site. It not helped me too much, hardware problems still remains. I could not find out what exactly causes probles. Finally I decide to install XP and then upgrade to Vista. Now everything seems to be ok. :D
There was some hardware problems but much easier to resolve. It seems to me that Toshiba did not provide all the drivers, for example StarForce Protection drivers. Vista did not recognized this hardware on the first time.
Now it works!

I have a client who has ordered the Satellite P100-425 and has insisted that we load windows XP onto it. I have done this and i was wondering if there somewhere where i can get the XP Drivers for this Hardware as the XP drivers listed for this model in the downloads section do not seem to work at all. your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem, I just bought Toshiba Satellite p100 454 PSPADE, and didint like Vista at all!. So I checked Toshibas webpage for drivers cus I thought Vistas drivers whouldn't work for XP. I didint find my Tipe (PSPADE) So I decided to download the drivers from (PSPAD) Drivers insted cus the seemd to be right.
Then I formated and installed XP and all drivers worked exept Infared,Modem and Sound card Drivers :S I've been lookin for the right drivers for about 4 hours now :(
so Plz if somone could be so kind to tell me where I can get the right drivers for my model i'd be very pleaced :)

Can't get Windows 7 drivers for Satellite C50-A-1JQ

I've been trying to install windows 7 on my C50-A-1JQ as many software packages I use at work will not work with windows 8. After managing to install windows 7 I have a list of uninstalled evices in my device manager. These include the Ethernet Controller,Network Controller, PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller and USB 2.0 -CRW. The Toshiba website only has windows 8.1 drivers listed for this model so does that mean I will be unable to properly install windows 7?

Im afraid you are right. Your notebook model is not supported for Win7 so I think it will be very problematic to find all right drivers, tools and utilities.
What to do? Try to install drivers found by Win7. It could be possible to install drivers offered for other similar models supported for Win7 but it is not easy to find all drivers.
Can you please offer exact list of missing drivers?
For instance have you installed chipset driver? if not install this Intel chipset driver.
By the way: have you created recovery media before you have installed Win7?

Fact is that here on this Toshiba page you can find a Win 8 driver upgrade matrix

If your notebook model is not listed, the Win 8 drivers will not be released.
Anyway you can try to install some Win 8 tools released for other series.
For example the installation of Toshiba value added package (VAP) should be possible on all Toshiba notebooks.

Any update on Windows PV Drivers for 3.0.2?

I have an outstanding SR on this (SR 3-4973876887) - opened two weeks ago.
We seem to be experiencing intermittent performance issues with the 2.2.2 PV drivers. We'll be getting 30MB/s, restart the guest, and get 100MB/s. Guest VMs running Windows 2008R2 will randomly boot to BSOD and get stuck in a reboot cycle. We will set the driver type in the guest setting to HVM with PV Drivers, only to find a few days later that somehow it's set itself back to HVM only. So we've kind of lost confidence in the 2.2.2 x drivers - which used to be pretty rock solid on OVM2.
So it would be handy to know when Windows PV drivers for OVM 3 will be out. Unless they are being kept back until 3.0.3?
Another question - for Windows 2008R2 - the OS type - should we be using Windows 2008 or 'Other Windows'.

They are due for release with 3.0.3. They have passed certification on 2003 (32/64-bit) and 2008 so far. Windows 10 drivers for Compaq Presario CQ61?

I have a Presario CQ61. I believe it was released in 2009. Although it's very old I was wondering if this laptop will have driver support for windows 10. There are none as of now but will there be drivers for this laptop in the future? Thanks.

I have the same laptop and went through the upgrade nearly 2 weeks ago. The night it did it everyhting was fine but everytime i booted the laptop after i got increasingly worse problems (yes my laptop was fine before hand - up to date and protected. Windows update tool told me my laptop was suitable for the upgrade too). These started with the touchpad scroll issue which is still ongoing to the desktop flashing on and off to the point of it being a game of whack a mole trying to get to an icon that would actually stay on long enough and load. None of the new windows 10 apps would respond nor could i shut it down by means of normal method or task manager need i go on. In effect 99% ruined and the option to revert back to windows 7 impossble as some how it hasnt kept the files!!.I have contacted microsoft who have remotely accessed my laptop 3 times so far. They have had to remove virus protection, stop programmes starting on boot up and told me not to install/upgrade anything barring windows stuff as it will cause the problems to start again . and most of it is some what better it is useable but what i have been told is the roll out is done in bits its not a complete upgrade - this will come over the period of updates to the upgrade :/ over several weeks which could more than likely take people past the 28 day period of no return! (bit of a problem if the upgrades/updates keep bringing issues as it has to me). Also having been told by their assessment tool that my laptop was ready to accept the upgrade in all aspects they now having looked at it think maybe the drivers for such as the touchpad etc arent and thats HP's fault! and down to me to contact them to see what they will do. I'm still having several niggling issues the biggest being the sroll thing and also if i connect to the tv through HDMI the sound as a minimum wont transfer now but Microsoft will again be contacting me again this coming sunday and having seen on the forum that no-one has had any luck here i think i will get them to repair the missing files to return to W7 :9

Hi Matt, I previously didn't change the files environmentvariables.config and environmentsettings.config. So I didn’t have the connection to DB set up. To fix that I tried to different methods, copy and paste the v6.0.0 files, from my running environment, and merge the files from 6.0.0 to the 6.0.1.
Now I can't start Remote Container Service, I'm getting a message that says: Could not start RemoteContainerService on a local computer. Error 1067. The process terminated Unexpectedly.

Can't Download Windows 7 Drivers for Bootcamp?

Hi,
I have been trying since 2 weeks to download windows 7 drivers for bootcamp but the process just gets frozen at that point. I live in a 3rd world country and don't have a good connection. My DSL's speed is 2mb and I can easily downoad movies and hd seasons but because of the awesome servers of Apple, I can't download these much needed drivers.
Is there some direct linking to these drivers so I can download them or any other alternative?

Using Boot Camp is the only method to obtain the drivers, be patient and try again.

Which gave me the result in the spoiler. I'm especially keen on the HP ProtectTools because I love the fingerprint login featurer. I'm also not so sure what missing the USB 3.0 eXtensible Host and Dual-Core Optimizer will mean for me.
Does anybody know if these things will work on Windows 8 Pro (regardless what the Update Assistant says), or if not, if it will be solved in the future, or if not, what problems it will give me.

I have the HP-Pavilion VA284AAR-ABA IQ546T Touchscreen All-in-one
It originally shipped with Vista, but during the period you could upgrade to Windows 7, which I did as soon as I got it. I love it (only wish it had HDMA out, but that is another issue).
Just upgraded to Windows 8 Pro using their donload Upgrade system. It ran great. Worked like my android tablet with regards to touchscreen capability. Could swipe to get the sidebar with search charms on the right and swipe from the left to get other open windows, It was truley wonderful. Then while looking at some settings functions there was a suggestion that my computer preformance was lagging and I should refresh my system.
First of all when I think of the word refresh, I think about splashing a little seabreaze on my face,,,that is refreshing. What happened to my computer after hitting refresh was more like Brad Pitt getting a facelift to look like me. Not Happy.
Now none ot the touchscreen features work other than moving and hitting tiles. Gone is the ability to swipe to mover the entire screen to the right or left or up and down. No more opening the charms bar with a right side swipe. It is like the touchscreen only works halfway. I know this is an old machine in Tech terms, but I know it will work, because it did. Please offer drivers under windows 8 to restore full functionality of the touchscreen to this product. I know your web sight says that there are limitations to the touch features because of the bezel, but I know it works, I 've seen it work and it was a thing of beauty. ( I tried restore, but ther is no restore point prior to refresh) Please warn others about the evils of the refresh option ant to try to establish a restore point before that. Lonng time HP buyer and supporter, please help.

32 bit ATI Windows 7 drivers for the tm2t?

I'm trying to get my 32-bit (I need 32-bit because I have some other devices which only have 32-bit drivers) Windows 7 (fresh install) on my tm2t to work... but HP's "32-bit" Radeon drivers located here fail to install:

I've contacted support and they have tried to escalate this for me, but since then there hasn't been any updates since, so I thought I would try this channel as well. I'm hoping someone else from HP is reading this and will help me out.
BTW this isn't a new problem. I wished I had known it existed before and perhaps I would have avoided the tm2t and went for the X200t as has this other person (it seems he gave up on HP and returned the tm2t... so HP this is affecting your sales)...

For those who are in the same boat as me (and having NO follow up support from HP ) Here is a tip, download and install the most recent 32 bit Vista/Win7 ATI Mobility drivers. This current version does (finally!) have the support for the Radeon HD 4550 (9555). Here's the link:

However this is just a partial fix. The switchable graphics does not work since this is the generic driver set from ATI. If anyone has a clue on how to hack/install the required stuff in please post here! Otherwise we'll need to wait on HP to provide this. HELLO HP?!

Windows 7 Drivers For Qosmio G40-12S

I have a Qosmio G40-12S with windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
And i have Install a Windows7 Ultimate 32bit instead of vista , Before that i had download all drivers in this link (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp)
I have select those choice:
Notebook > Qosmio > Qosmio G Series > Qosmio G40 > PQG40E > Windows7 32Bit > ALL > ALL > English > Search
but i think there no Windows7 version from all what vista has, For Example: there no Infrared driver for Windows7 but there one for Vista
There no TEMPRO, ASSENT, Acoustic Silencer, AMT, Online Product Information, Remote Control Manager, Touchpad Driver, Tiles for Mobility Center, etc.. For windows 7!
My Vista Driver was 27 driver - windows 7 only 19 driver!!!
8 Driver was missing in that link, were can i find that drivers?
I have search for TouchPad Driver and i have found one for it, But i can't found Infrared Driver and Remote manager so my Remote Control not working now?

I presume offered drivers are there for Win7 upgrade only. That means before you upgrade preinstalled Vista you must remove some Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities.
After successfully installed upgrade you should install just stuff offered on Toshiba download page. All other stuff will works with Vista specific drivers and Toshiba tools and utilities.
