Soooo I think I broke my iphone...
Okay so about seven months ago I dropped my iphone 4 off a carnival ride (clever, I know) and it completely smashed the back. I lived with it until about a month ago when I paid $120 to replace the front and back screens as well as the jammed power button. I didn't have the money to buy a new phone mid-plan. Everything was fine, I even paid $60 for an Otterbox so my phone would be more well protected. And suddenly about a week ago the light on my iphone wouldn't go off. I did everything I could and nothing worked. The phone overheated and then shut off. Now it only turns on when plugged in and it says "searching..." and can't find the service. It also thinks it's 7:01 pm on Wednesday December 31st. It shuts off and turns back on again every few minutes. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I have no warranty and I don't get an upgrade until May. My dad is taking the next upgrade even though my phone is already two years old. Am I just out of luck or...? I need to know, I really don't have any other way of communicating. Thanks.
Your iPhone got smashed (and most likely damaged) and then it got serviced six months later by an unauthorized service provider. What did you expect to happen?

If you want accidental damage covered, you'll have to get AppleCare+, which is a new option Apple just started carrrying a little while ago, probably to keep people buying some sort of AppleCare, as the regular Apple doesn't cover accidental damage(although a lot of people buy it thinking it covers accidental damage).
Although they might actually repair your iPhone.
I know exactly what you mean about not liking the idea of a previously used iPhone. I was in the same frame of mind as you when I was getting my iPod replaced. I didn't like the idea of a used iPod, but after a few minutes, I got over it. You can hardly tell that it's refurbished because it looks almost like new. -
it was my own fault, i broke my iphone in a stupid accident. it has a broken screen and a large smash on the back side on the camera corner. i'm not going to ask Apple to replace it, because like i said it was my fault. what i'd like to know is, if i bought a new iphone, how does the sim card/existing account transfer to the new phone? do i need to contact at&t or does itunes take care of all that?
i feel so bad, i think i need to go to confession and ask for forgiveness for doing such a horrible thing to such a cool device.I would go to apple anyhow and see what they can do, they are very much about customer satisfaction when accidents happen. I know people who have gotten devices replaced for free, even though it was their own fault. The logic behind this for them is that you will remember it, you will most likely continue to purchase their products and also recommend their products. An iPhone replacement is a small price to pay for all that advertising that you will do for them.

When i tried to connect iphone to itunes in my pc it was asking for passcode which i had forgotten ages ago. Suggest me the possible ways to recover my iphone.
Since the screen doesn't work, it will be challenging to get it working, even thru iTunes. You will need to ask yourself if you want to invest more money in it or get a new one, especially since the contents will be lost since you don't know the passcode. Apple will gladly replace the screen for a cost that represents a significant portion of the price of a new. Once the screen is done, you may or may not be eligible for the free iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program.
Or, if you decide to salvage it and are strong of heart and firm of hand, you can replace the screen yourself for less. See here and note they carry kits with all needed tools and parts. -

Do the recipients have an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with the Messages app and are yo calling the email address or phone number they set up for Messages?
An iPod can only Message to another iOS device with Messages.

I was travelling to the US and I broke my iPhone during my stay there, luckily I backed up my iPhone before I left to go to the US. So I managed to get myself a new iPhone during my holiday stay. but was unable to obtain my old photos as I did not bring the laptop with me. And was waiting to get back to UK before I can restore it. Of course, since I was on a holiday I have used my iPhone to take photos. When I came back to the UK I connected my iPhone to my itunes on my latop and later realised that it restored all data, but not the photos or anything that I have taken during my holiday? Any idea how I can get that too? very very desparate!
Were you using iCloud? If so, have you checked your photo stream? If you weren't using Photo Stream, there is likely no way to recover your photos.

broke my iphone 5s screen , bought an ipad today is there anyway to sync info between the two that was not in my icloud? The screen is pretty cracked but phone still works i get emails, texts, and everything else to it just cant view them. Is there anyway i can connect the two and pull information off the iphone?
You can only restore what was backed up.

They couldn't do it without physical access to your phone, so ask yourself if you've let anyone use your phone recently.
Otherwise, ask the person involved.
Also check whether you have apps, music, contacts etc, on your phone that aren't yours. -
I broke my iPhone and now using my grandson's old iphone 3. I inserted my sim and it works but when I plug into the computer, iTune's still recognizes the phone as my grandson's phone and won't recognize my music and apps on iTunes. How do I fix this?? Help please!
You need to connect the iPhone 3G with USB cable to the computer you Sync your old iPhone with. Then let the new iPhone Restore from Back Up of your old iPhone.

I work for company and we use HTC phones about a hundred .. We are thinking of changing to iPhone... We use destiny pens and have been advised that apple blocks the Bluetooth for this device... Why...?
Apple doesn't "block" that device. They just don't support the Bluetooth profiles the Destiny pen requires. You can see the Bluetooth profiles included in iOS here:

When there is unauthorized modifications on the iPhone Apple doesnt replace the product. Unfortunately you will need to get a new iPhone!
If you could have contacted Apple when you broke your screen you would be eligible to get a replacement after paying the Out of Warranty service fee.
